hi all, any help or advice would be most appreciated! My bf and I have decided it's the right time to have a little one and so aprox 2 months ago came to the end of the pack and had a 4 day AF. 28 days later had another AF. So I'm guessing one 'fake' AF and one genuine which again lasted 4-5 days. We have been ttc in the mean time and now I'm on day 37 since my last AF finished. I tried a test 4 or 5 days ago but was negative, however I had a large glass of water before hand! Silly me for not reading instructions first! Also it was a cheap supermarket test! I've been feeling tired but that's not anything out of the ordinary for me hehe! I remember having a sharp tightening pain in my lower abdomen about two weeks ago now but just put it down to bending down to re-arrange the cushions lol, also had spots on my face and never ever get spots! Could it be just my body readjusting to different hormones or could I be pregy??? Please help! Hmm

You could be pregnant if you have been having sex. Or, like you say, it could just be your body getting used to having natural cycles again. It's hard to tell really as the symptoms of a period on its way and the first signs of early pregnancy are very very similar.
Get a First Response test, a Superdrug non-digital early test, use it first thing in the morning and you will have your answer. If it's negative, and then another one 7 days later is negative, see your doctor to find out what is up with your missing period.

good luck :)

it shouldn't matter whether you've used a cheap test r not - not of the ttcers say the cheap ones are often better.

If you bled after coming off, then that's the withdrawal bleed, and in theory any other bleed will be a proper period.
That's not necessarily the case, but it will eb in most cases.

It also takes a while for your body to get back into the swing of it, as it were.
I would say wait a few more days, and see what happens.
There's no point doing tests every day, because there won't be a change one day to the next.

oh, and keep shagging, because yo unever know! Grin

When I came off microgynon after using it for several years I had three or four normal periods, then missed one for no apparent reason, and then got pregnant without another period. It made my dates look really weird and was quite confusing!

So your body could still be adjusting, or you could be pregnant but not far enough along to test positive- as pps say, try testing again in a few days.

It took a little longer for my test to show positive just because I had a lower level of hcg in my urine, then within 24 hours I tried a cb digital and I was 2-3 weeks so tech nearly 5 weeks, I found out I naturally carry a lower level of hcg because I attended an early pregnancy unit to get some spotting checked out. So you may be the same and be well on your way or still not quite at test level yet but if you've been trying then there's a fair chance xx I also bought some cheap test strips from amazon there are 5 in a pack for under £2 and no shipping cost and they arrived the next day! Really helpful because when you do finally get the faint line you can see it get stronger every morning without huge cost, good to keep on hand if you suspect any problems and want to see if the line becomes weaker again as they are very sensitive, should give them a try xxx

Aww thanx for all your comments and support, I know nothing is clear at the mo I'll get some strips from amazon and test in a few days if nothing! And keep trying nickelbabe! Haha this made me laugh! Bf is really excited at the prospect but I'm not trying to get my hopes up! It will happen when it wants to, fingers crossed hey! Cheers guys, I'll post back in a wk or so and let you know how I got on xx

Since my last post a few months ago I have been charting but my menstraual cycle lengths are very different, however I think LP is around 12-14 days! Cycle length 59days on month one of charting,34days on month two and now on day 43 with no period! Symptoms each month include pmt and mood swings, sore nipples, slight cramps but nothing else. Charting temps- around 36.3 degrees centigrade most of cycle then a rise to 36.8 (with a few normal fluctuations). I am now in month 6 of ttc! I know it's probably just a waiting game but is there anything I can do to regulate my cycle? I took ac,folic and b6 on the cycle which was 34days, should I keep taking them till I get a 'normal' length cycle eachtime?
