we have been TTC for no 2 since May and now feel that need to take some action. have been looking round the net for ways to improve sperm count and have just found a site that claims to sell a home sperm test called "babystart fertilmarq".
Site seems relatively alright as they sell all the branded hpt tests, ovulation tests ... etc, so I was wondering if anyone has used such a home sperm test kit and what you thought?

why not just go to the GP and get it done?

Well that is an option but DH works in London and therefore getting to GP not always that easy. plus with home test you get the results straight away whereas from our GP we had to wait 2 weeks last time

Don't use such kits - they're a waste of money, are not completely reliable and most importantly of all such things can cause a great deal of anxiety to testers.

Would instead suggest you seek medical advice from your GP, both of you should be tested at the same time to see if there are any problems preventing conception. Dh does not have to see the GP initially, such semen analysis are done at hospital and the results are analysed there.

You can have a blood test done to see what your hormone levels are like.
