i have a 5 month old dd so not ready to be TTC again yet. asked to go on the pill and nurse said i could just start the first pill when i want to so i tool the first of the combined pill the next day. now i had had a period about 10 days earlier. she said that was okay just do not rely on it for 1st 7 days. bd on day 8 with condom just in case, but this failed IYKWIM.

had a niggly feeling that the nurses advance may have been wrong so went to GP. she said that i should take morning after pill since i wasd mean't to wait to firsat day of bnext period...arghhh.

too morning after pill about 52 hours after. about the time that my period would have been due (about a week after taking morning after pill) got really tingly and painful boobs and nor period (still taking pill as normal, as advised by GP)

just finsihed 21 days of oill and waiting for period (been nearly 2 days) breasts started to tingle and ache again (thry had stopped after a few days b4)...could i possibly be pregnant?

did i take pill incorrectly?
would morning after pill counteract this?
before i had baby boobs never tingled before period, what is happening. could be be mind ove rmatter?
really worried since another baby when my 1st is sooo young would send me over the edge.

I think given you were taking pill for 7 days, and took morning after pill you are incredibly unlikely to be PG. the Pill has always given me sore breasts as a side effect! I mentioned this once at a checkup and the nurse asked if I thought I could be PG - I said I doubted it, since I had had sore breasts on and off for well over a year

btw I don't think you took the Pill incorrectly. Am sure you can start it any time in cycle, just can't rely on it immediately for protection if it's after you stated your period.

I don't what is normal overall, but I would usually get AF 3 or 4 days after last Pill.

when you take the morning after pill, it can upset your system, so don't worry.....

feastofsteven · 19/12/2005 22:08

good point from Rachee, that MAP can delay next period.

Just to let you know I regularly take the pill (sam one as you I think) and I dont normally get my AF till 5 days after pill so dont worry.
