oh someone please help me :( predictor pregnancy test!

Hi everyone, not posted in this section of thed boards before so please be gentle :) hehe.

im having some real problems with the 5 day predictor home pregnancy test! it says on the leaflet that no matter how faint the line in the control window is that it means a positive, but it also says to disregard any result after 30 minutes. Does this mean anytime between 5 and 30 minutes that the result will be correct? it says aswell that a faint line may appear after 30 mins and not to take that as a possitive. the problem ive got is a positive appeared about 15 mins after i tested and gradually got stronger over the nxt ten mins, which is nearly to the half hour mark! it wasnt a strong line, it was faint, but it was still there? im so confused!!! i dont know when my period is due because of the pill im on thats why im using the 5 day before things...anyone any advice? please?

p.s missed my pill about 10 days ago, had sex a week ago! (if thats any use)

So a positive line is appearing within the test window of after 5 minutes but before 30? That sounds like a positive test.
Best thing would be to go to your gp and ask for a blood test tomconfirm pg, and you can talk through your options with him/her too.

These tests are not as good as they say they are, I got a negative on one of these within the time limit (although a very faint line showed up later) and every other test I did clearly came out as pregnant within the five minutes. I'd try again with a first response in at least another week as if you only had unprotected sex a week ago it is too soon for a positive result.
If you only missed that one pill you are likely to be ok in any case.

I thought it took longer than 7 days for hcg to show up? Think you should try again in a week....Here it says it takes 9 days post fertilization for a blood test to show pregnancy and 11 days for a pee test.
