Light period??? Any ideas why??

Ok so this last af I've just had started on Sunday and finished by Wednesday, it's never really got going and only used about 12 tampons in that time didn't have to wear anything really on Wednesday just a bit of spotting?? Have had blood but nothing really stringy which is unusual, my cycles have been getting longer 40 days ish last month and 36 this month. Any ideas why my af could be so light??? Got to go for a ultrasound to check for pcos although not sure if this is a symptom???

I dont want to raise your hopes as im sure this could be down to afew things
but i remember when ttc dd2 i thought i was pregnant but then AF made an appearence,i had really light barely there bleeding for about 3 days.
After this had finished i was feeling a little dizzy and odd so i did a test and BFP!!
So I must have had implantation bleeding,so i would do a test if i were you as you never know

How heavy was your implantation bleeding?, this was like a period but very light in comparison but without the stringy gunky bits!! I'm beginning to wonder if there is something inside that's stopping me getting pregnant Will go for the ultrasound next week when i'm off work.

have you recently stopped taking the pill? This happened to me when I did, very light periods, they are getting better now after about 6 months.

But to be honest Sunday to Weds sounds like a good length to me!

No been ttc for 9 months now, periods are normally heavy for a good 3 days with stringy stuff sorry if tmi!!!. I started on Sunday and didnt need to wear anything for protection on wednesday so really only bleeding for 2-3 days but not heavy at all and like i said only had to use about 12 tampons for the whole time!!!! Just curious what could cause a light period and no lining being washed out so to speak!!!

I'm the same, been trying 9 months and the last few AFs have been very light. Am having blood tests etc to see if theres anything wrong.. I also am missing the stringy stuff and dont need to use anything altho my cycles regular and its happening every month it just doesnt feel right

I posted on here recently about my periods getting lighter & lighter. We've been TTC for over 4 years, and I havent taken the pill for over 5.

Last month was very light where I only bled for two days and even then light flow tampons were too uncomfortable,

Everything online suggests it shouldnt be an issue, but I can't help thinking that the lack of blood could mean lack of womb lining - or am I being paranoid!

Yes that's my thoughts to??? And lack of lining could be why eggs not sticking!!!! Will see how I get on with ultrasound :)
