Smear test and ttc?

I'm booked in for a smear test next Tuesday. Its my first one but we are ttc and I think I'll ovulate about a week after the smear test.

I just want to know if it's going to affect my chances of getting pregnant.

Thanks

Hi - I wouldn't have thought so. My nurse wouldn't do it after ov because the wand bit if the brush goes in the cervix hole apparently and don't like to ut anything up there if there is a chance you could be pregnant. But beforeov should be fine. And you want to know that everything is ok so that when you get pregnant you won't be waiting another year to have it done.

It should be totally fine. :) I actually had my smear whilst in my 2ww a few months ago & was worried about it so phoned & spoke to the nurse before hand. I was told that it would be no problem & definitely would have no ill- effect if I happened to be in the very early stages of pregnancy! HTH

Thanks. I'm really nervous about it
