Yes, IQ have some boobies... Grin Well, look at you living up to your username last night! Awake at 4am indeed! I'm so bloody happy that you've felt supported by us (and others; as I said - post and they will come. Those that have been there/are there AND those that will actually help) and have now taken back control of the situation. To be fair(!) to your boss, they probably don't have a clue about what is right/fair/lawful because they probably haven't had the right training but if I were a manager, I'd make it my BUSINESS to know, whether I'd had training or not. Plus, y'know, I'd like to think my humanity would shine through too! But they're about to find out Grin

I do also wanna say I'm so sorry about how let down you feel. I know what it's like to give your all to a job, have sunshine blown up your rear about how fabulous you are and then when the shit hits the fan personally they act as if you're an inconvenience, at best (my experience was also working for Her Maj. Home Office, infact... and I laid down and took it in my vulnerable stat and not having discovered mumsnet Sad) But this feeling will pass. Your baby really is your priority now, so precious. And very lucky to have such a Mamma Bear.

blue Grrr to people who put you out and then let you down! And hearing you on the cold - I think it's time to reattach the other part of my duvet (have one of those all season ones). Hope you're not feeling as sick?

poppy woo hoo for ewcm! Time to get busy Wink

baby I expect you're in the bowels of some hospital right now... hope it's not too patronising trying and that if anything you get an early scan out of it! (PMA, PMA!)

martha (remember? That's YOU, Summer!) What an old witch AF is. I really hope this is the last one you see for some time Where in Londinium will you be this weekend? Grin (I kid. I can barely be bothered to get off the sofa these days let alone crash your family celebration!)

missG You're officially the new marathon! Where are youuuuuuuuuu?

Love to all - off to try and find something I want to eat. My sickness seems to have vanished a few days ago as I mentioned (ARRRRGH!) but I still have NO appetite.

MandaHugNKiss · 19/10/2011 11:49

X-post with blue Eh, sounds rubbish. Not long until lunch, though?

MarthasHarbour · 19/10/2011 12:15

manda we are off to the zoo! [hgrin] my vv good friend lives in Reigate so we are heading on up there at lunchtime, then back home in the evening for oodles of redvino Wine i hope! whereabouts are you?

blue i did wonder about implantation but it is full-on AF Sad such a pisser as i feel reeeeally sick Envy

pebspop · 19/10/2011 12:28

hello!

glad you have managed to get signed off IQ. sounds like you need the break. i am glad your hr dept are sorting you out. i thought you must work for a small dodgy company, can't believe it's civil service.

my temp went down a bit today, but then i did it again and it was a little bit higher so going with the second one - a bit naughty but don't suppose it really matters! i wish we really knew what was going on in there - it drives me mad wondering if i have ov'd or not.

martha af is the worst when you don't want it. hope it's your turn next month.

blue get some food in you! i carried cereal bars around when i was pg as it didn't want to feel hungry cause it made me a bit dizzy.

PieMistress · 19/10/2011 12:48

Just nipping on very quickly, have been lurking and reading the updates for the past few days as have been very busy with one thing and another (work, pukey DS, holiday hunting). Off on hols on Sat though (googling frantically trying to find a cottage in Northumberland). I did get a significantly better progesterone result this month - 33.9 WHOOP!!! Much better than the 21/23 I have been getting . Am now 10dpo and have not yet POAS, that is a first for me as I normally start at 9dpo but, given, my shitty FSH levels I don't want to get depressed looking at stark white pregnancy strips.

Sorry for not name checking, i'll try and write a proper post before we go on hols x

Love to all xx

MarthasHarbour · 19/10/2011 13:20

oo pie where are you off to? i am from that neck of the woods, i love Northumberland Smile

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 13:48

PieMistress · 19/10/2011 14:10

far I am whooping for B6 babies too! Pretty sure it's not happened this month as have nada symptoms except for erotic dreams Blush

ShimmeryPixie · 19/10/2011 14:48

Fuck fuck fuck [hsad] Fucking AF again. Feeling really depressed about it this time. Not up to facing it for some reason. Damn.

IQ - look after yourself. Your line manager is a tit and the one that matters here is you. Take care and try to relax/destress for the next two weeks.

MarthasHarbour · 19/10/2011 14:55

shimmery fuck fuckity fuck for you Sad i am on the rag too - lets sip some well deserved cocktails in the VIP area!

AF for me too. Really down about it. :(

BlueCrane · 19/10/2011 15:49

so sorry about AF girls it is truly horrid getting AF when TTC and each cycle hoping hoping that she won't appear only then to have her make such an unwelcome entrance and ruin the party...

farfallarocks · 19/10/2011 16:27

Gawd I fucking AF too, so sorry two and shimmery :(

Poppyjen · 19/10/2011 16:30

Oh no, stupid AF - sorry to all suffering an unwelcome visitor Sad I was so down a couple of weeks ago when she arrived. Can only offer more baked goods (brownies anyone?) to add to Blue's offering and I second the need for cocktails in the VIP area....

My EWCM seems to have disappeared today - CD13 so by last cycle (Ov on CD36) it is way too early anyway and temps still in the pre-O range. Doesn't stop me hoping though Smile and the SWI shall carry on regardless!

Just booked the last bit of logistics for our trip up to the Lake District in a couple of weeks - can't wait Smile It will be nice to get away and hopefully it will be lovely and sunny, crisp and cold perfect for hearty dinners next to roaring fires Smile

babysaurus · 19/10/2011 20:24

Firstly, good luck tomorrow Blue! x

Sorry to hear how pissed off you are Two and Shimmery. Have a nice glass of Wine and take care of yourselves.

Hospital appointment was, I'll be kind, predictable. I was there, as instructed, at half two and was promptly seen at, er, four o'clock by the same diabetic consultant I saw last time, Dr M. He is spoken of very highly by various members of staff (one's I was a bit groany about him to) and, he seems a nice-ish bloke but he DOESN'T FUCKING LISTEN! He looked at my readings, all fine apart from one of 14mmol (I am having to alter fast acting levels to quite a bit more than usual, and 95% of the time am getting it spot on which, if I may be smug, is bloody good going) so he focused on that.
He cannot comprehend why or how I know what doses of insulin I need if I haven't been on one of their carb counting courses and kept saying that if I get 'persistently high readings' I will have to go on one. I explained that I am having to alter things now due to the hormones etc and generally am fine, as my Hba1c of 6.4 shows, but he was adamant that it was because I couldn't 'count carbs' in the first place, despite evidence to the contrary. Also, as one size does not fit all, going on a course to 'learn' how to do something I have been doing brilliantly since 1995 isn't going to make much difference when one's insulin requirements may change on a monthly basis...

Will stop there as a) most of you prob don't know what I'm talking about and b) it's dull even if you do!

All the appt was for this ten mins with the diabetic consultant, I didn't see anyone else which was a shame as I was going to mention the spotting and see if I could wrangle an earlyish scan. I think that will have to be brought up at the booking in appointment I have next week instead.

BlueCrane · 20/10/2011 09:31

Morning all...

baby sorry the appointment seemed to just be a hassle! So glad you've got your booking next week - I found my MW really helpful to chat to on Tuesday so she should hopefully be able to help with your queries. How are you feeling?

How's the VIP area doing girls?

I'm having my own little moshing session this morning and trying to hold onto the PMA in advance of my scan at 12:20!! I have had to come into work, which is probably a good distraction but think I would rather not be here. Just want to know beany is ok, is the size it's supposed to be for my dates and want to see heartbeat too. If all's ok today then we have already made huge progress from last time (all stopped at 5-6weeks and 8+2 today) but I know we're still not 'out of the woods' so to speak!!

poppy I wonder if your Ov might nicely coincide with hols if it comes at a similar point to last cycle? Could be perfect for some good holiday SWI Wink and yeah to lovely cold crisp sunny days and glasses of Wine by roaring fires with yummy wintery food!!

pie Grin for better levels and results!! Hope you have a fab time on hols!!

Right...better get back to work...hope everyone else is doing ok today...

Poppyjen · 20/10/2011 09:47

Blue I wondered that too - would be nice timing (although we'll be sharing a room with DS so we may have to be a little creative... Blush )

Wishing you all the luck in the world for your scan - I am sure that we'll all be thinking of you Smile

Sooooo tired today, I was up half the night with DS who has a horrendous chesty cough. He didn't seem to wake up properly from it but my mummy-sensor wouldn't let me sleep whilst he was coughing away. Now I feel terrible too - I think I may be coming down with his cold...typical!

Hope everyone else is feeling better than I am! xx

Missgiraffe1 · 20/10/2011 10:08

Oooooohh, I am sooooo out of the loop! Hello newbies, sorry you have to be here but a very warm welcome. My few weeks of sickness and exhaustion really took it's toll on work - but it only started to show last week Shock. That, combined with my boss being off for the past 4 weeks, means I have been a little under pressure this past week or so. And, I stop today for hols today (boss just back today), FILs wedding tomorrow, back home Saturday to get packed then off to Lanzarote for a week Sunday morning. Haven't given a second thought to holiday packing yet - that will have to be done on Saturday!

I managed to rearrange my talk for today (BAD timing, since I could really so with the whole day in the office today, but was no other option really) so will be off out shortly.

Blue good luck for today PMA all the way Smile I'm sure everything will be fine.

Had 12 week (well, 11.5) scan yesterday. AMAZING! Baby giraffe was opening and closing his/her wee fist and wriggling about a lot. So cool! One of the pics looks like a high 5!

Good to hear about better PG results and lots of SWI. Sorry about the nasty AF's arrival though. August hoodies at the ready ladies!

Be back Saturday hopefully for proper catch up before hols. Big giraffe-sized hugs to you all. x

Missgiraffe1 · 20/10/2011 10:10

Oh, and was someone talking about HTCs being shite??? YES! They are, especially when trying to comment on MN! Angry

MarthasHarbour · 20/10/2011 10:34

missg at your LO doing a high fiiiive! fantastic news on your scan Smile it was me with the HTC. I am currently having probs in that when the data is switched on i cant receive calls Confused i may have to get something else if my insurance will let me...

poppy give your DS a leedle bit of whiskey in his bedtime milky and he will be out for the count - he will never know Wink

blue you are a star - thanks for the Brew and choc fudge cake and masses of good luck for 12.20 (i shall set my outlook calendar to the time and will do a 'woo hoo' dance at my desk for you for luck [hhmm] )

baby sorry to hear your appointment was less than productive. at least you do know what you are doing and that little bean will be bouncing around in there giving you the high five for your fortitude!!

woohoo poppy you are right on the money at the moment - hope you are getting some well deserved SWI in Wink

farfallarocks shimmery and twoweekwonder fancy an early cocktail? lets drink to 4 BFP's circa 13 November for us all - sorry about your AF's Angry

well i was feeling v poorly yesterday, it was so unfair as it was classic PG symptoms (bloated tummy, nausea, feeling shivery) but i had an early night and feel better today, it was like a kick in the teeth as i am still on AF but having 'ghost symptoms'. Anyway looking forward to my visit to my vairy good friend on Saturday, we arent going to London Zoo now but off to a couple of working farms in Surrey, as DS has never been to a farm before Smile

Happy Thursday everyone and waves to everyone i have missed [hblush]

Poppyjen · 20/10/2011 11:39

I am sure none of you really want to know this but I am going to share anyway Grin ...

EWCM is back today - and there's much more of it. CD 14 today so its a lot earlier than I normally see it. Hoping it means that my cycle has decided to sort itself out! I wondered though, as well as my normal watery/stretchy EWCM I also had a blob of jelly-like CM has anyone else had this? For those who know, it was a bit like mucous plug.... Any ideas?

Yet another new thing - Yay for supplements!

So will have to try and shake feeling ill and try my best to think SWI thoughts this evening...

pebspop · 20/10/2011 12:04

poppy my ewcm has come out in a little jelly blob for the last two cycles. not sure what it means but i am assuming it's all good!

my temps are still up today so things are looking good for this cycle. just hope af doesn't keep me hanging! shouldn't be pg this month although there was a slight contraception malfunction on saturday!

hopefully will have one more cycle, then ttc. unless i can convince dh earlier! i should have a couple of months worth of high dose folic acid in me by then.

martha have a good time in london. make sure you drink plenty of wine! it might be your last chance for a while!

giraffe have a good time in lanzarote!

i want to book a holiday now... might book something for xmas holidays but it's sooo expensive. i get 10 days off at christmas and so i wouldn't have to use my annual leave but the prices are ridiculous. i don't think we will have much planned this year at home as friends are busy with babies, some have moved abroad and my family are all arguing. might be better to bugger off somewhere just me and dh!

farfallarocks · 20/10/2011 12:17

I also get jelly blobs! I always interpreted it in a good way, keep up the SWI (you both deserve a medal!!)

InsomniaQueen · 20/10/2011 13:39

poppy the jelly is good - in my cycle I got the jelly/plug, EWCM and then the ovulation pinch.

I remember watching a documentary on BBC one and it showed that when the plug comes away you get the EWCM which the sperm use to 'swim up' and enter the cervix.....I say jump on your other half when he gets home....you might be right on time!!!! Wink
