Really struggling with the thought that my fertile years are over

I'm nearly 42. One DS, nearly 4, 2 miscarriages.
Just been to the Bridge Clinic for first round of tests, due for follow up appt for the results.
If he says there is no hope what the hell am I going to do?
I am just dreading it.

Donteven know what I'm asking. I guess does anyone have any experience or advice on hearing bad news?
Do I prepare myself for the worst?

Hi, don't think I can help much but just to say I definitely don't think yr fertile days are over. I have just fallen PG without trying & I'm 42. I feel a bit guilty as I know so many on these threads try for months but I do tend to fall quickly.

Please don't give up hope

If Bridge say that you're now into the territory of donor eggs etc get a second opinion from The Lister and ARGC. They treat a higher volume of women overall, including a Hugh proportion of women in your age group. Bridge are a bit conservative and keen to move to donors faster than other places so it's well worth considering other clinics.

It's really strange because I really don't feel old, I don't feel like anything is different regarding my fertility, and I still have enough energy and love for lots of babies! And then I remember I'm nearly 42.

thanks Bagoholly, that's good to know. I really don't know how I feel about donor eggs. I guess I haven't thought that far ahead.

I know that both of us will feel blame, me if it's my eggs, DH if it's his sperm.
I think that will be awful
