My DD is 8 months and we're TTC BUT I haven't got my periods back yet. A friend told me to try anyway as that's she did and it worked for her. She says you do ovulate when breastfeeding, but the hormones involved mean you often don't get periods. I thought that people who got pregnant whilst still feeding just got very lucky that they happened to "catch" their first ovulation, and that if they hadn't got pregnant then they would have had their first period a couple of weeks later (not sure I've explained that very well). Who's right?

Kirrin I am with you - if you don't have a period then you won't have a lining for the egg to implant in. Confused I always assumed it was just catching the first lining?!

Thanks AandR I knew I was right but I was hoping she was!
