Superdrug digital test help

Hello, am new to this board but hoping for some help.
AF is circa 5 days late ( cycle length has increased recently from 28 days to 30)
Took test a few days ago and BFN. Bought a superdrug cheapie yesterday and think had a faulty test or I used it incorrectly as no control line.
Sooooo today and still no AF went to buy clearblue but sold out so bought superdrug own digital 2 pack
First one doesn't work, realise i have done it wrong ( sense a theme here?)
The second i followed instructions to the t but still get told to see leaflet.
So my question. I have taken the cartridge back out and there is one blue line in the window. To the right of the rectangle window there is a circle window with a plastic part running diagonally. This window is blank.
Any ideas? Am I pregnant or not? Don't really want to spend any more money as clearly i am incompetent

Oh and upon closer inspection there appears to be a very faint blue line to the left of the darker one, but could be just the light i guess

How wrong can you go with peeing on sticks :)
My advice is to get a non-digital test. Then pee in a cup rather than on the stick and dip in the stick for the exact amount of time specified on the leaflet. Then you ought to get a reliable result. Perhaps you have not been peeing on the stick for long enough, or for too long?
No point in dismantling the digital tests really. They already tell you if you are pregnant. Any line you can see now is outside of the time limit. As I say, go to Poundland, get some really cheap dipstick test and make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
Or take a pot of pee to your doctor and ask a nurse to test it.

I've never seen a superdrug pg test but as a rule of thumb I'd think 2 lines = pg? If there are 2 lines I'd definitely buy another test - maybe a less confusing brand :o

Thanks for your reply.
I did pee into a jug and hold stick in for as long as specified Confused
Thanks for tip re poundland shall pop out again later and try again if AF hasn't appeared.

That 2 lines rule doesn't necessarily apply to digitals which can work differently to the standard 2 line tests.
