Bleeding between periods

Me and DH are trying for our 2nd child. My periods have always been extremely regular whether iv'e been taking the pill or not but this month I started bleeding again just 12 days after my last period. The bleeding lasted for about 2 days, it was not particularly heavy but not light either. I am just concerned as this has never happened to me before. I went to see the doctor and she just said it is one of them things. Any advice would be much appriciated.

If you hadn't gone to the dr. I might have thought you were pregnant! No real advice actually, but bumping for you.

Doctor was very off hand, I don't really like her very much. I have heard you can get an inplantation bleed but thought it was much to early to be this and I didn't get it with my last pregnancy. Also I don't feel pregnant.

Could this be ovulation bleeding? could it be possible that you could have an infection at all? Infections such as chlamydia cause intermenstrual bleeding maybe get some swabs done to rule it ou?

Definitely havn't got that unless husband has been playing away as was tested negative a few years back when I had a smear test.

Yes, I was thinking implantation bleeding. I had that, although a bit lighter. Timing is curious...

is your smear test up to date? If it is a couple of years since your last one maybe would be worth booking one.

I had a smear in aug 2004 at my postnatal check, so am up to date. They didn't test for chlamydia this time as they only do that if you are under 25, it was at the one before that they tested and I have been married since I was 18.
Am very worried as have just started bleeding yet again, just 9 days after the last time. My actual period shouldn't have come for another week. Have had 3 bleeds/periods in the space of 3 weeks.

pinkmagic1-did you go back to your GP? Sounds like it should get checked out. It probably is just one of those things, as he said but better to be sure
