CLOMID first timer....

I can't seem to find any clomid threads that are active, so thought I would start this one.

Currently just finished taking my last tablet (50mg) on my first month of clomid, I'm very excited & nervous at the same time.

So many things going on in my head, no one to really talk to, symptoms are a bitch (but must mean something is working if I have symptoms yeah?!) Confused

has anyone taken clomid without being monitored? My consultant isn't going to scan me to check on follicles, I just have to go back to see her in 3 weeks (not sure what for?) Blush

Really hoping this works! Hmm

But if anyone wants to join me on a clomid ride, share info or success stories, feel free to...... Smile

hie all,

This is the first cycle that i have taken clomid :O. Iam on cd 30 and i havent tested any ovulation and i havent checked for pregnancy. I have severe lower abdomen cramps for the past 5 days it was small and now it has increased its like pain during AF :(. I have no idea what to expect. I took clomid 100mg from day 3-7. Is there anyone like me who can actualy help me ? Iam also having small vaginal discharge but in white colour

dear rachie12 dont worry and never give up ur hopes. Try and be regular with what the doctor advices have faith in doc and medicine and most important in u. Iam sure u will recieve a good news soon .

hie xlizziex iam also on the same boat like u. I too have pcos and husbands SA came perfectly normal. I was given metformin 100mg for 18 months but then i used to get periods in odd intervals. Later after waiting these many days doc gave me clomid 100mg. Hoping for some positive result. Realy worried.

Anyways as u said its a nice thread where we can share all the feeling and emotions and also the side effects that we go through.

Hi all,

I am on month one of clomid. I am currently on day 20 and experiencing some twinges, bloating and hot flushes. Not sure what it is?! Ovulation? I have PCOS and have a blood test on 21st June to see if clomid has worked. Really hope it has.

Let me know how it is all going as nice to hear from others who are going through this!

Help! Difference between clomid symptoms and ovulation or preg! Can't work out of its tablets, normal ovulation ( which I haven't experienced due to PCOS) or early preg signs! Bloating, Sensitive boobs, cramping...

Hi ladies,

Im on my 4th cycle of clomid. Just 50mg. Was checked on cycle 1 and 2 with blood tests to see if it was working. Which they're happy that it is.

lottie I know what you mean, they symptoms are so similar. The first 2 months I had major dizzy spells from day 10 to period, sore boobs, bloating. 1st month I was convinced that I was pg, 14 days after suspected ov - nothing, no AFand bfn. It seems my egg pops a few days after the +opk or ive got an 18 day lp. I seem to be having 33 ish day cycle now, which is a damn sight better than 96 days. But still no bfp. But I think ive been stopping more or less after the +opk so ive carried on for a good week or so after this month to try and catch the little egg. Also been using Convceive Plus as the clomid is supposed to dry up your fertile mucas or make it hostile.

lappachu where are you at on your cycle?

At cd29 today so should know around the weekend if im up the duff, which I doubt. I just feel that although the clomid is making me ov is somehow preventing me from getting pg.

BTW.I have pcos. And DD nearly 4 yrs old, who was a lovely surprise after being told by gynae 2 months prev that im really gonna struggle to get pg. Been trying since Jan 2011, PG in Sept, MMC in Dec. So I know I can get preggo, but it just isnt happening. Plus il be 32 whispers 38 next month so I can just hear the clock ticking away.

Thanks so much for writing back. I know!!! In my head I think I might be preg but trying to stop thinking that because I actually think its just clomid side effects. I didn't get a + opk but I didn't take every day as we were away for the long weekend so might have got one then?! I had my 21 day blood test last Friday but haven't heard from my consultant so assume 50mg is working for me- just want to know either way! Don't know how long my cycle is as its any where up to 3 months! So don't know when to test... Going to chart temp next month. Does any one have a clear blue fertility monitor? I'm using the cheap Internet ones but might buy one- very expensive!!!!

I'm gutted! Just got a letter from consultant saying my 21 day blood test said that I didn't ovulate! Well there goes another month!!!!! I still have sore bb's though so something must be happening?!

Hi Lottie, It could be just an increase in the hormone level is making them sore. AT least they've got back fairly quickly and can up your dose for the next cycle. AF got me on Sunday so im out this month too. Its getting me down a bit now. Starting on my pills again today. I think im just expecting it not to work and then it can only be good news! X

Hi ribs, I know it's good that I am upping my dose but can only take on period which sometimes takes 3 months, last time I took provera but my consultant is away and I need another prescription so... Waiting!!!!! So tired of waiting! I'm getting down aswell! So many babies around! Bad luck about AF! Good luck on pills this month... Are you getting side effects?

Hello all-
I am new to this site and new to clomid as well. I am nervous and excited all at the same time. Can't start taking the pills until the the beginning of next month. I would like to know everyone else's experience with the clomid. As well has anyone conceived with their first cycle?

Hi,

I started clomid last month on 50 mg. I got hot flushes and was emotional- but that might have just been the situation we are all in getting to me! I had my 21 day blood test and it didn't work for me so consultant has prescribed 100mg for next time do just have to wait for AF! Trying to get provera of my gp as consultant is away. Just bout clear blue fertility monitor so will try that next time too! Good luck with 50mg that normally works for most people x

How u doing on the 100mg lottie?
I'm on cd 16 and had positive ov test. I knew I was anyway,
my little ovaries feel like they'e gonna explode. I don't think the egg's gonna pop until Thursday or Fri tho. I'm having acupuncture on Weds 2 so that's good timing.

How r u doing mrsk? R ur egg/s about ready 2 pop yet 2?

That's great to know. Seen how I'm on my first run of clomid and I take my first pill onThursday. My DH is 35 and had 3 kids prior to him and I. I'm 24 with no kids and had an HSG done with one OB telling me that I have one closed fallopian tube. AngrySo of course I started to panic thinking that conceiving wasn't gonna happen with some type of help. When I went to see the specialist he told me that he thinks I still have a big chance of conceiving through either tube which took a little weight off of my shoulders. So now on to trying and I hope I can get as luck as you and see a BFP once I test after this first cycle. Cross your fingers and wish me luck! Grin

Hi ribs, I'm ok just a few hot flashes and really tired! On cd11 and have a scan tomorrow to see if 100mg has worked. Am also using the clearblue fertility monitor and have stopped eating dairy and carbs to try and help my PCOS!

Can anyone help me with acupuncture? When should I have it? Before ovulation, ob the day, after ovulation, implantation time???? I have bought an acupuncture mat and am waiting for it to arrive! I also ears about hypnotherapy cd's - anyone tried them?

I go on holiday in a couple of weeks and would love to be preg then! Fingers crossed!

Any updates?

From what I got from last nite's acupuncture, Iv doesn't seem 2 matter. The research I did seems 2 show that it benefits all the way thru conception and pregnancy. Reduces mc rates etc.
Hope the tests have positive results on 100mg clomid lottie.

Thanks for that info- very tempted to get it. I'm not sure howuch though! 1 a month? Week?
I just can't think of the worst- the what if! What if it never happens what will I do? What will my life be like- sorry to be a bit negative but just think sometimes and reading so many books about infertility it sometimes makeshift think but I just can't go there or I don't know what I would think!

So glad there is this forum so we can all chat and tell each other what works!
