Af due next weds (6 days). POAS this am - BFN :(

Whysoserious · 22/09/2011 17:57

Thanks for your advice mersea I am in the process of changing docs and as soon as they have all my details from my old surgery I am making an apt as it has been most weird. I had 4 days of dark brown/ old blood and today it had been like proper AF and very heavy.

Sorry to hear about your mmc - bound to make you very nervous I'm sure. Hopefully it will be good news this month and for everyone else on here.

roger you can stay on the bus with me and maybe we'll have some luck in a few weeks.

I've got to do my first wee wee test for CBFm tomorrow. I'm excited...and quite sad it would seem ;-) I think it takes a couple of cycles to get to know me so this is going to be a practice run for me.

Hope your still feeling nice and preggers astroness have you been to the docs yet?

Hello to all the new people - I always look at this in my phone and can't refer to other posts to remember names but good luck for all the POASness!

Waiting with anticipation to hear about some more BFPs!!!

AngelFairy · 22/09/2011 19:28

Evening my lovelies...

I still haven't POAS... ta-da! I'm even more proud, as I am in the house on my own and have a stack of hpts lurking in the bathroom... Smile
However, I have had more AF-like cramps this afternoon, so I am not going to test unless AF doesn't show tomorrow.
BUT let me just say this: If I am not pg, seriously, acupuncture IS the way forward. It's regulated my cycle, given me my cm back, numbed majority of my PMS symptoms, as well as regulated my IBS - Pure genius!

Made a 'fertility' muesli for me and dp to have over the next week or so. All the ingredients are supposed to contain vitamins and minerals to support conception and pregnancy. Not sure it will make a difference but I am sure it will taste nice and healthy Smile Amongst other things it had linseed, wheatgerm, sunflower seeds, raisins, oats, walnuts and Brazil nuts! I thought served up with a good dollop of natural yoghurt it might help the process.
Dp staying at his parents tonight as they live closer to his work (helps with petrol costs) so I have the tv remote and fancy a nice hot bath, not too sure if I should have the usual Wine though!

GoldenDaffodil · 22/09/2011 20:04

Mersea so sorry to hear you've suffered mmc, that's so sad and makes your reluctance to POAS totally understandable.

Angel your restraint is admirable, I'm holding you up as a role model every time I get tempted.

I've been having some mild AF type cramps this evening. I've been here before though so I'm not allowing myself to read much into it. Also still experiencing increased CM which is definitely unique to this cycle.

FX for all of us.

oggy24 · 22/09/2011 21:34

Could I jump on the bandwagon please?

I'm new to all of this Blush . As I'm not telling any friends or family that we are TTC, it can be a lonely place sometimes!

oggy24 (26) ttc#1 AF due 29th Sept

My cycle is around 23 days so I'm not holding my breath! :(

Signet2012 · 22/09/2011 21:52

Dalrymps · 23/09/2011 08:22

Sloop?! I meant 'soooo' Grin

Mersea · 23/09/2011 08:48

Morning all, I know what you mean, I also feel more like AF is on her way, had some cramping this morning Sad. Visiting friends this weekend so I may risk a drink if this continues.

Dalrymps · 23/09/2011 08:55

Mersea Hope the cramping is not your AF on it's way.. Your AF is due the same day as mine isn't it.. Still 5 days of hope left

Even though I'm pretty certain I'm not pg this time, I really like being able to think that I could beSmile Silly I know but just the possibility is exciting in itself..

thedogwalker · 23/09/2011 09:54

Morning all and good luck to all of those who are due to POAS today, I have my fx for all of you.

I recall on my first pg, that I did get AF cramping before it was due and I thought nothing unusual until the day it never came, I was always really punctual. So there is hope for those of you who are having cramping style pains, it may not be AF visitng but something far more exciting Grin. take care everyone x

Mersea · 23/09/2011 10:02

Feeling really low at the moment, every month that goes by I feel my chances of falling are getting less. I am forty next year and I know my fertility must be on the decline. I know I should have started trying again much sooner after my mc but suffered badly with anxiety and depression afterwards, so did not feel it was an option. I guess falling again might have resolved the problem but it felt like too much of a risk in case it went the other way and got worse. Sorry to bring things down on such a lovely bus but needed to get things of my chest. Dp home tonight so hopefully I can have a chat and a hug Smile. Af not due for another five days but so there may still be a chance but current familiar symptoms suggest otherwise.

Dalrymps · 23/09/2011 12:01

Mersea Sorry you're feeling lowSad it's completely understandable you didn't feel comfortable to try sooner, fwiw I think you made the right choice. After all pg messes with our hormones enough without feeling depressed and anxious on top of that. I know it's hard but try to stay optimistic, my gran had my mother when she was 42Smile

Got all my fingers and toes crossed for you it happens soon.

Mersea · 23/09/2011 12:39

Thanks dairymps for you message. Our AF is due around the same time so fx for us both and if it does not happen this month there is always the next bus. I guess each month should be seen as getting closer to our goal - as the saying goes if you throw enough mud some of it will stickGrin

Dalrymps · 23/09/2011 13:59

GrinThat's how I like to think of it, the logger you try the more likely it will be. Of course I know from last time that I was impatient right from the beginning, Tis just the way I thinkSmile

Dalrymps · 23/09/2011 14:00

Damn this phone! longer

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 23/09/2011 16:55

Oh Mersea, I know it can feel it's never going to happen especially when your clock is ticking but although your mmc was a terrible thing to have to go through the one positive is that it shows you can get pg, even if it was a while ago. One of my colleagues conceived her dd at 42 as well...

Please don't beat yourself up about waiting til now to ttc, if you weren't ready before it probably wouldn't have happened anyway - the mind is a powerful thing. A good friend of mine conceived her ds straight away but when she tried for #2 it just didn't seem to be happening even after a year. She was stressed by several different issues at the time and in reality a new baby would have probably made her life even more stressful. Happily the things that were making her stressed were resolved eventually and within a month she got her bfp and a beautiful dd.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you - after everything you've been through I reckon you're owed a bit of luck soon. Hope dp gives you all the hugs you need when he gets back but in the meantime here's a virtual one [bear hug]

Whysoserious · 23/09/2011 17:17

Evening all!

Could I ask someone to please update my AF date - it's 17th Oct. I have no PC at the mo and can't do it from my phone. Thanks Smile

Also, and more importantly - and news from angel and hickory???? Have you ladies POAS yet? Waiting with baited breath here... Wink

oggy24 · 23/09/2011 17:28

Thanks guys :)

I am still having difficulty admitting to people (ie GP) that we are TTC. I think my answer was "well, yes. no. yes. well, sort of" to which she replied "well, you are or you aren't". Doh!

I think I have just wanted it for so long that I didn't think the time would come that I could say what I wanted out loud!

Fx to all this month :)

HorseyGirl1 · 23/09/2011 17:48

Sending a hug to you Mersea x Don't think this will be my month, bit a meltdown last night which suggest AF on way on Monday if 26 days or Tuesday if 27, who knows? Hugs to all who need them and hope you have a lovely weekend. xx

AngelFairy · 23/09/2011 18:37

Hello ladies,

Quick update from my phone...
After a horrible nausea episode last night I was convinced I was pg, but this morning Aunt Flo knocked on the door, rather politely, and I had to let her in.
I'm gutted, but I always try to see it another spring for my little angel to benefit from, when they're finally placed there x

Here's to some alcohol this wkend!!

Much love x

crystaltea36 · 23/09/2011 18:37

Hi all, had a stressful few days at work, and no pg signs at all yet, when is the earliest you might notice something? I'm not sure when I ov'd as have been using the calendar and it estimated last weekend, we SWI lots but not holding out much hope as no signs of anything :-( no cramps, no sore boobs which seems to be the give away? I'm worried the last few days at work haven't helped either!
mersea there's still 5 days left don't give up yet! hugs! x
