Well, as Bleats so kindly started the last one I thought it only fair to take my share of the driving Grin

Let's keep the positive vibe going ladies, we may be off the May minibus but we're definitely not defeated so bring the Wine, Brew and BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit, hold onto your seats and let's get this baby mobile started

Astro this is fab!
I'm riding your wave of excitement - cheeky me!
Can you tell your cycle stats, i.e. Cycle length, cd with bfn and of course cd with fab bfp?
Did you have any symptoms?

I tested again this evening, with persuasion from dh, but another bfn Sad

Dalrymps · 20/09/2011 22:18

Wow AstroGrin Massive Congratulations!! So so pleased for you, the first time is so special tooSmile

Mersea · 20/09/2011 22:31

Why maybe see how you go and then see your doctor if things are still worrying you. It's likely be nothing as everyone is different and sometimes these things just can't be explained but it might be worth getting it checked. You could ask to have a scan which would show up any problems, if any and the sooner things are checked and you are given the ok the sooner you can relax and get back to swi!! All the best x

makinglemonade · 20/09/2011 23:19

Cant believe Im writing this but would like to reserve a seat please!

Just started ttc'ing and im not niave enough to think we will achieve first time but would like to join in and share the positive thoughts.
Im really new to this and need an interpreter for all the abbreviations!

31 AF due 4th Oct i think

Dalrymps · 21/09/2011 09:20

Morning ladies and welcome makingSmile

There's a list of acronyms somewhere that should clear things up for you..

Here's a few
Dh - dear husband
Dp - dear partner
EWCM - egg white cervical mucus
SWI - Sh*gging with intent (I think!)
Fx - fingers crossed
AF - Aunty flo
POAS - Pee on a stick

Any more you're unsure of? Hope I got those ones right!

How is everyone this morning?

AstroGrin

crystaltea36 · 21/09/2011 09:47

Congratulations Astro! Can you give any tips? Did you do anything differently? :) I'm in the 2ww now, only just started it! Am going to try not to test early this month!

BBandthedestroyer · 21/09/2011 09:53

Mornin'

All good here thanks, post night shift but need to find some energy to get on with the SWI tonight I reckon. So lots of Brew for me. Still no idea if or when I'm ever going to ovulate (i looked at the clearblue fertility monitor but too many pennies for us at the moment) so may as well get practicing Grin and ya never know!

Everyone else well this morning? Anyone POASing today? x

GoldenDaffodil · 21/09/2011 10:11

Hello Making and Good Morning to everyone else. I'm still smiling for Astro.

BB if you can't afford a monitor you could look for OV signs in other ways such as monitoring CM and temperature charting. Lots of SWI is certianly going to increase your chances though :o How you manage it with shift work is beyond me. DH and I both have demanding jobs and I have to practically force him sometimes!

Good luck to everyone POAS today. I'm now 7 dpo and still not experiencing any symptoms except increaded CM. Yet another one of my work colleagues has announced she's pg this morning which has made me feel quite down about things. Never in my adult life have so many people I know been pg at the same time! I know I've got to remain positive though as lack of symptoms at 7 dpo doesn't necessarily mean a bfn next week.

BBandthedestroyer · 21/09/2011 10:30

Golden I was trying to track my cm last cycle, but never noticed a change, then started with the random bleeding on cd 21, hence why I'm not sure if I'm ov at all Confused but then I'm very new to this so I might just be being a numpty!

Oh and when I was pg with DD I didn't notice any symptoms at all till I was about 6 weeks pregnant. But then I wasn't looking for them.

Everyone I work with keeps asking me when number 2 is coming along. I don't know what to say really, usually just say something vague but then they think I'm pg but not telling them and I just get winks

AstroNess · 21/09/2011 11:12

Hi girls,

Because a couple of you have asked what we did differently/any tips etc. Here's a bit of info.

My chart is here:
Ovulation Chart

In terms of what we did differently, I think that as this was our third month, I was much more tuned into when I ovulated. I was also better at doing my temps (Fertility Friend couldn't find when I'd ovulated the last couple of months). So, I think it was probably about getting the timing right.

The biggest symptoms I have right now are sore boobs, a general sick feeling, being hungry quite often and weeing lots. The day before the HPT I was absolutely shattered for no reason. I could have slept at my desk if no-one was around. We're talking feeling like a zombie, even though I slept well.

PS. SWI- sex with intercourse? no? All means the same I suppose.

thedogwalker · 21/09/2011 11:16

Morning all and welcome Making.

I've got my fx for all those POAS today, I'm excited for you Grin.

How are you feeling today Astro. On top of the world I bet. Good luck to you and take care of yourself now.

makinglemonade · 21/09/2011 12:23

Afternoon ladies and thank you for the warm welcome :)

Thanks Dalrymps for the quick intro, I think its going to take me a wee while to get used to everything but Im loving the friendly vibe!

Im off work today and still in my pj's :o
Everyone around me seems to be pg at the mo, we have a christening this weekend so I know that everyone will be saying the usual 'you next' wink wink. Sometimes I just want to scream at them but usually just smile politely :(

Good luck everyone and congrats Astro

crystaltea36 · 21/09/2011 12:54

Thanks for that Astro, as I'm quite new to this I don't really understand the charts yet, I will have to spend some time reading up on it and then go back to your one to work out whatit all means! Did you use the OPKs? I haven't bought any of those, I've just been trying around the 14th date but maybe this isn't right! I'll have to do some more reading up on it all, I find it quite daunting there's so much to look out for! :)

AstroNess · 21/09/2011 13:50

crystal fertility friend does a free charting course when you sign up which is very useful. I did use OPK's this month but nothing showed up. But clearly I did ovulate!

Good luck everyone x

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 21/09/2011 17:39

Evening all - welcome making

8dpo (days past ovulation) and weirdly no sore boobs yet - normally by this time they're giving me real jip Hmm

OP posts:
Bleats · 21/09/2011 18:01

Astro - fantastic news! So many congratulations.

I am not confident and because my cycle was stupidly short last time I am going to wait until the weekend to poas. By that time my DH will be back home and so I hope to suffer uncertainty for another few days. If not then nothing wasted.

AngelFairy · 21/09/2011 18:54

Hey everyone! Welcome BB, TDW, Crystal, Making, and Golden!
Wow... I hope you'll enjoy the lucky bus!

So Astro, how was normality with a BFP? Grin

Can someone tell me to stop POAS?! Seriously, of I'd gone for a walk today I'm sure I'd have been sniffing posts Blush
AF not due until Fri and although my boobs are tender and I'm still getting creamy cm, the niggly cramps have all but gone Sad
so I'm not going to POAS until AF doesn't show (who am I kidding?!)... I think I need restraining....

I hope you're all enjoying your cd!

Has anyone heard from Hickory? I wonder if she's POAS??

Much love x

AngelFairy · 21/09/2011 19:00

Oh, just looking at the list and there's Signet, Bleats, and Roger all waiting to POAS... How exciting!

Bleats how are you managing to not??

rogersmellyonthetelly · 21/09/2011 20:58

Can I ring the bell to get off at the next stop please? Bfn all round, af is due tomorrow and I have all the signs that she will be right on time, I might hop back on as my cycles are really short, so actually if I conceive next cycle, it will still be a June baby!

Dalrymps · 22/09/2011 09:04

Morning ladiesSmile

Still nothing at all happening here. I will be very surprised if I get a Bfp this time. Not in any rush but just can't wait for that moment when it finally happens!

How is everyone today?

Anyone POAS today?

GoldenDaffodil · 22/09/2011 09:22

Good Morning everyone. I'm now 8dpo and despite the lack of symptoms I'm becoming increasingly desperate to POAS. Like AngelFairy I think I need restraining! Anyone got any good news/promising symptoms to report? I've wasted so much money on hpt's over the last year that I'm determined to hold out from testing until Monday. Sorry to hear this cycle hasn't worked out for your Roger - stay on the June bus and fx for your next one.

AngelFairy · 22/09/2011 10:38

Morning Dairy, Golden!

So sorry AF is visiting Roger

Today is cd28 for me, as AF is due tomorrow, and I'm still surprisingly optimistic, as I'm usually spotting from cd26(ish) and I'm only seeing (tmi alert) creamy cm.
My breasts are tender, but not as tender as yesterday, which again is odd, and my niggly cramps are intermittent when they should be thumping ahead of tomorrow...??
I have POAS since my last post, and I'm so proud Smile
So my dilemma is whether I'm pg or my acupuncture has further improved my PMT??? Hmmm..

Fx AF stays away tomorrow...

How's everyone else today?

AngelFairy · 22/09/2011 10:40

That was supposed to say "I have NOT POAS since my last post" Grin

AstroNess · 22/09/2011 12:08

Roger that's rubbish. But I'm glad you'll be staying on the June bus for your next cycle. Av a word with AF when she arrives today, won't you? Let her know that it's totally not acceptable for her to come for a good year.

I'm admiring you restraint Angel. Your symptoms sound very promising to me.

FX for some positives over the next few days.x

Mersea · 22/09/2011 12:43

Afternoon everyone, how are we all?

Symptom spotting like mad at the mo. Had some pain centrally for a couple of days rather than on the side but still a week off from AF. I am however the opposite to most you lovely ladies and need to be forced to POAS! Think it comes from having mmc a few years ago and still feeling a bit nervous about the whole thing. When my period was late the other month I did not POAS for 5 days after and in a way I am glad I didn't as when AF arrived I did not really know for sure if I had conceived and could put it down to a late period. Not sure what I will do this time depends how strong I am feeling on the day!
