Day three bloods, please help!

Hi, I'm supposed to have day three bloods this cycle but annoyingly came on this evening. Obviously can't have them done on Sat so is it best to go tomorrow or Monday?
The thought of wasting another month makes me want to be sick so your advice would be hugely appreciated.

Hi there,

I would ring the clinic or go down there as soon as they open this morning, they can actually do day three bloods on day two so they might get you in today or they may open on Saturdays- my clinic opens for an hour or two both days.

Thanks Louise, unfortunately our phlebotomy service doesn't run at the weekend so it's today or Monday as my options.

Also for the first time ever I've not come on fully and appear to be only spotting which I assume if continues makes tomorrow day one? Does this sound right to anyone?

I was in the same boat with mine. The doctor told me days 3-5 were ok. So I had mine done on day 5. If you are only spotting today and it doesn't progress to full flow then yes, don't count it as day 1 yet.

Yes definitely wait if its only spotting, avoid hots baths and exercise that might bring it on quicker!

Mine was day five too - consultant said better to not be later than day 4 but as my results were fine she was relaxed. If they'd been borderline she would have repeated them so just make a note of which day it was in case they later ask. As you are only spotting may well not be day one anyway.

I was told it could be done up to and including day 5. I had mine done on day 4.

Go on monday. Day 1 is the day you wake up to proper (for you) period loss, so day 1 might be saturday yet anyway.
