Advice please on poor response to IVF drugs - what next?

Hi ladies, I am currently on day 9 of my 2nd ICSI cycle. The first was cancelled before egg collection due to failure to respond to drugs (i.e. the follicles didn't grow enough), and this cycle us looking to be going the same way. I am on fairly low dosage due polycystic ovaries, so even though they have been increasing the dose each scan on this journey I am still only on 225 gonal f. I wondered if anyone had had similar experiences and could offer any advice about where to go from here or other options or questions for the consultant, I feel like we are throwing money down the toilet! We are at Hammersmith in London. Thanks x

Hey Danny sorry if you asked this on the waggle dancing thread and I missed it ... but FWIW I was on 112.5 gonal-F on my last cycle because my PC ovaries overreacted to 150 on my first cycle.

What was your day 2 FSH / AMH? I know that is what guides the dose - my FSH was 4.1 and AMH was way high (they had to rerun the test - which isn't ideal!)

Have you thought about a mild IVF cycle? I have been looking into this at the Create clinic (in case this one doesn't work). I feel that Guys (where I am at the moment) is good for "normal" patients but doesnt seem to be that good for people with out of the ordinary issues like we PCOS ladies.

Hi GP I am classed as a poor responder and a problem child because, although they expected me to respond really well or hyper stimulate, in actual fact my follicles are not growing enough. So the first cycle started on 112.5 and here I am day 10 of cycle 2 on 225 and still not looking good. So the dose is creeping up and up, as I am not responding well enough. I guess thats the opposite to you! :)

I am really interested in this idea of natural IVF, as I know I ovulate - I will look into it thank you SO much for the tip. In any case I have everything crossed you get a BFP this time and won't need to worry about it ((()))
