false positive?

hi , took a pregancy test today- BFP!!!!!! took one yesterday and it was negative. how likely is it to be a false positive?

You can't get a false positive, so Congraulations! :o

if its a BFP its a BFP, dont really get false positives unless its a chemical pregnancy so test tomorrow to see if the line is fainter.
Pregnancy hormone doubles or triples each day or something like that so

When is/was your period due?

Supposedly Thursday , came off pill about a month ago after being on it since 16 ( am now 32) went on holiday for two weeks. Had a period,2 and a half weeks later had another one; don't really know my cycle as haven't had a proper period for 16 years !

Sounds like the first bleed was withdrawal. Chemical pregnancy occurs when you test on the early side and then get af anyway (bean doesn't stick) but often a bit late. So I'd say you're likely upduffed :) Have you retested?
