NEW BUS BOARDING FOR JUNE 2012

desperateoldie67 · 23/08/2011 06:40

Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

OP posts:
LydiaTheTattoedLady · 29/09/2011 19:32

Mine's due then too - either October 9th or 10th, not really sure about whether I should count what I thought was my first day.

It seems a very long way away. Craving a glass of wine already. Would one be a really really bad idea?

AND
NOT feeling
sick
bloated
crampy
big boobed
hormonal

...Basically, not feeling in any way at all pregnant. I know symptoms dont' really come this early but thought I'd have a few pretend symptoms to keep myself occupied and feed my obsessiveness. Nada. Zilch. Nothing.

stay busy stay busy stay busy stay busy

Rusulka · 29/09/2011 20:06

Lydia FX for you too!

We took year 4 swimming today and the chlorine smelt really strong to me. Naturally my first thought was that it was a symptom, tut! At 4DPO! Driving myself nuts just thinking about it.
Getting a bit hyped up about my temps too. Really hoping they stay elevated.
Still POAOS just in case. Why am I doing this to myself!?!!?

Discolite · 29/09/2011 20:20

Rusulka, I'm also wondering if I've actually ovulated or not...my first day of high temperatures coincided with a cold and my temperatures have dipped since then (not below the coverline yet however). I also don't have the symptom that I confidently talked about a few days ago, that of sore nipples! On the plus side when I took my temperature in the day to check for fever it was normal....ohhh, I don't know! I give up!

Lydia, I'm apparently 4dpo but no symptoms of anything here either. Slight cramps but I've been having those for 9 days so barely even notice them anymore.

Fingers crossed for at least 36.3 deg C tomorrow!

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 29/09/2011 20:49

Fingers Crossed indeed everyone

Your post made me giggle Rusulka. I've been constantly checking whether my boyfriend is noticing smells of all sorts of various kinds, cryptically saying 'oh' when he hasn't smelt a thing. I'm such an idiot.

Discolite Join in the smelling game. If you really focus on it, you'll find that everything smells much stronger and more intense. It can keep you going for hours.

I've found something to spur my obsessiveness. Hurrah!

onlinefriend · 30/09/2011 09:17

I got a BFP! So delighted!
Sorry for the info delay I Have beeen away and had no internet access.
Fingers crossed for everyone testing this weekend.
I am having stomach cramps every day, does anyone know if this is normal or a sign of something wrong??

needinstructions · 30/09/2011 09:38

congratulations on the BFP onlinefriend - that's fantastic!! I'm afraid I don't know very much about what's normal etc (I have been pg twice before but noticed nothing but the morning sickness) but would have thought that the cramping is just your body getting used to its new (and very exciting!) state. I'd go to the doctors though if it's painful, or if you're worried.

I was going to test tomorrow but all my symptoms have disappeared so now feeling very unpregnant and fed up. Probably PMT :-( Not sure I can deal with the disappointment of a BFN tomorrow, but DH is away all of next week and I wouldn't want to test then just in case...

Readynow · 30/09/2011 09:44

Very Confused Based on temps FF has just put my cross hairs at CD10, although I did not get my positive OPK until CD11 & lots of EWCM CD11 & 12 ??
So I'm going to ignore the temps & go with the other signs! If I Ov'd the day I think then I am 5 dpo but no symptoms although I am desperately trying to spot some :o

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 30/09/2011 10:21

Congratulations onlinefriend! When did you test? (after you missed your period?)

Re feeling crampy - any googling of early pregnancy symptoms (ok - yes, I am very very sad) will produce a load of forum conversation about cramps so I think many women have this same experience. I think the advice is that it's perfectly normal unless it starts getting painful or severe, in which case go to get some help. If you're worried, though, I'd go to the GP - it's a chance to talk about your pregnancy (get congratulated) and go over your overall health for this early stage in any case, which can't be bad.

So SO SO jealous. In a nice way.

onlinefriend · 30/09/2011 11:03

thanks for messages & reassurance about cramping- not severe, just feels like i'm about to get my period all the time. i'm beginning to calm down after also consullting dr google ( i did ring the gps but they can't offer me anything until the week after next!)

needinstructions- i'd test tomorrow while your hubby is here in case you need support (the last two months before this when i tested negative i was completely gutted.. and if its positive you can find out together. Good luck .

needinstructions · 30/09/2011 16:06

Ok, I'm out - AF just appeared in a big way.

I think I would feel more disappointed, except that I am too busy trying to deal with the fact that I am at work, had no tampons etc (have now been out to get some) and wearing a cream skirt - now with no knickers ;-) Talk about tempting fate though.

Good luck to those of you remaining and congratulations to those with the BFPs!

Rusulka · 30/09/2011 18:22

Nearly peed myself this morning when I did my temp- 36.7, which technically makes my temp chart on FF triphasic... 5DPO... trying not to get too excited, but really hoping for a sustained thermal shift rather than it being a one off!

Congrats onlinefriend, super jealous.

Sorry you're out, needinstructions. My mum used to have a cream skirt when I was younger. Every time she wore it the hamster peed on it. :)

TheCake · 30/09/2011 18:53

Congratulations onlinefriend and disappointed for you needsinstructions, at least its Friday and nice weather so you can have a good drink if you want. I think since i've been ttc i've gotten really drunk everytime my AF arrives!

1dpo here, going to have a last SWI tomorrow and then back to SWOI (if there is such an abbreviation). Hoping this is a longer luteal phase for me, I ovulate on day 20 and my cycles have varied each month between either 29 days or 33 - last month was wierdly 25 days and very light flow so think I did not ovulate last month. I used opks this month and got a smiley face on day Thursday and plenty of EWCM. Have been dtd every other day since day 10 so hopefully we are in with a shot. No doubt I will be seeing symptoms that are not there soon - it does not help that I feel nauseous and I have a metallic taste in my mouth as pre af symptoms!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and that this good weather holds out a bit longer...

sweetpb · 30/09/2011 19:13

Congrats onlinefriend hope all goes well for the next 9months x x

Good luck to everybody waiting!

I am currently on day 29 of my cycle, still no idea when I will be expecting AF :( last 2 months have been 36 day cycles (ish) but typical trend would now see me on a 60ish day cycle this month, soo, fingers crossed and the metformin has worked somewhere along the lines and i will either get a BFP or a normalish length cycle.
Have weirdly had bouts of feeling nauseous and dizzy/hot the last 2 days at 9:30 until about 11 am! but test today said no so just need to wait!

P x

Ilanthe · 30/09/2011 21:00

iI've been away for a while - really busy at work. Now we're on hols and enjoying the good weather. How lucky were we? Grin

Congrats onlinefriend and commiserations needsinstructions. Good luck to everyone else SWI and 2wwing.

I think I'm 6 or 7 DPO not quite sure. I have a whole host of psychosomatic symptoms:

  • sore, veiny boobs
  • bloated
  • gone off booze
  • exhausted, I fell asleep at 9pm last night

I'm testing on Sunday 9th and not before though.

Rusulka · 30/09/2011 21:32

2WW survival tips!

infertility.about.com/od/copingwithinfertility/a/two_week_wait.htm

Prunella79 · 01/10/2011 11:20

presumably everyone left on this bus will by now be in the dreaded 2ww. currently i'm spending way too much time trawling old threads for other people who've mentioned similar symptoms which have turned up a BFP. I'd think i was odd, obsessed, crazy if i weren't sure everyone else on here'll be doing similar.

so my list so far and growing crazier by the hour is:

  • constantly erect nipples
  • indigestion
  • tiredness
  • peeing loads
  • bloated
  • taste/smell that's like blood
  • numerous aches and pains in the abdomen but then surely that's just my usual IBS??
  • and the craziest one of all - super soft hair all of a sudden

what are yours? indulge yourself by letting them out...

sweetpb · 01/10/2011 11:43

Prunella79 - ok i will indulge,

  • two days running complete nausea and feint (sp) feeling from about 9.30-11, today just a bit of nausea but no heat at work to contend with.

-started today - tender nipples!!

always pee a lot anyway so no change there! not a boat load of symptoms and i am sure the nausea is mainly due to the heat at work along with the etformin tablets :(

cycle day 30 today, will try and hold out to next weekend to test :( (again!)

sweetpb · 01/10/2011 11:43

Oh and really really tired but think thats just to long shifts at work and a crappy cold!

icooksocks · 01/10/2011 12:11

I have no symptoms at all, nothing, nada Confused
AF due on the 5th October, i still just feel like me. I'm not feeling it at all this month.
I didnt want another June baby anyway-july is so much better for me Grin (ds1 is a june baby)

Prunella79 · 01/10/2011 13:01

other people's symptoms seem so much more real - especially not having symptoms at all icooksocks - i'm regularly reading it was when there was nothing to report that the BFP arrived. and sweetpb nausea and tender nipples sound like proper symptoms rather than my kind of made up ones.

especially obsessed at the moment as by best friend gave birth to a perfect little boy on thursday, trying to pretend i'm not racked with jealousy. Envy

TheCake · 01/10/2011 13:52

Oh bugger. Plans to SWI busted after brother in law who is staying over woke us up with a cup of tea- DH then got up to watch th rugby and they went straight out to the match and are going out drinking straight after! I was thinking today would be my optimal time as well. What do people think? I dtd Tuesday- had ewcm, had loads of ewcm on Wednesday, had a positive opk on Thursday morning at 6:30 had quite a bit ewcm during the day and dtd Thursday night at 10 o'clock ish. Wanted one last SWI this morning, have had a tiny bit ewcm yesterday and today but not much- nothing like the massive 10cmish long stretchy stuff I had on wed and Thursday. DH does not know the ins and outs of my fertility as it is off-putting for him- I tend to just take the lead, but did not have the chance this morning- is it all over for me? What do people think?

MaccyH · 01/10/2011 14:06

Congrats online friend! You have given me a ray of hope during my 2ww as was thinking I had no symptoms at all but have been getting mild cramps for last week or so and AF not due for another few days. So all may not be lost just yet...although going off wine has definitely not happened to me, in fact sunshine is just encouraging cravings!!
Enjoy the weekend everyone, can't be too long for the rest of us waiting on the June bus to find out whether we can join the other Olympic gold medallists or need to transfer to the July bus.
The Cake - sorry do not know enough about the specifics of ewcm to comment on your last post as this is only my 2nd month of TTC#1 but hope one of the more experienced passengers can help you.

TheCake · 01/10/2011 14:10

Thanks anyway MaccyH I've been ttc since jan and I still feel a bit clueless! Hope your cramps are implantation and your uterus stretching!

Rusulka · 01/10/2011 14:12

TheCake I think you'll be ok. FF always puts my ov at either 1 or 2 days after positive POAOS, so I would say Thursday was ideal timing. The only reason you'd want to have sperm flying up there on the day of ov is so you would have a better chance of having a boy. Boy sperm fly up there really quick, but die off sooner, and girl sperm are slower, stronger, and last longer. Apparently.

No symptoms here, apart from the chlorine smelling v. strong as mentioned in an earlier post. Too early to be significant though. Oh, I also had sore nipples for a few hours one evening this past week, but I suspect it was because I had taken my bra off to give the girls a rest.

Discolite · 02/10/2011 19:29

The only symptoms with me are cramps on my left hand side, and a weird cramp that was right in the middle (I'm guessing my uterus!). But then again, my temperatures have been up and down all over the place, so still not convinced I have actually ovulated.

Still, messing about and putting imaginary low future temperatures into Fertility Friend is quite entertaining. It is, honest! If I have another low temperature it drops my coverline by 0.1 degree celsius and makes it all dotty, i.e. it's not convinced either. If I haven't ovulated I hope today's beach barbeque and swim (in October!) helped convince the egg that I was properly unstressed and over my cold.
