IVF. What does it actually entail?

Bad news from the specialists yesterday. After 18 months of TTC IVF is our only option. We're trying to figure out if this is a path we are prepared to go down but I don't feel like we can make the decision without more info.

Internet research can take me so far, but would any of you out there be willing to share your experiences with me? It would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Feel free to ask any questions you like on this thread here I for one don't mind answering anything you like. Everyone on the thread are all in the process of going through it at the moment (I just had embryo transfer this morning). Background story- I am 27, DH 36. We have a child already but he is some kind of miracle (18 months to conceive) so we are having ICSI to try to have another. DH has severe male factor issues (count around 1 million at the moment, with poor motilty and morphology). It has been getting worse so he probably has anti sperm antibodies.
Sorry to hear you'll have to have IVF, but I found it took the pressure off the endless wondering why it's not happening...
