OMG! I'm in shock!

I had a BFP this morning!!!! Sorry, folks, just had to "shout" that. I'm in shock. Good shock, but didn't expect it.

Last Nov, I had a massive endometriotic ovarian cyst removed and we thought I had Ovarian cancer (fortunately, I didn't). The Specialist who operated told me that it was 50% that DH and I could have DC's. Despite trying since then, all we've had is BFN. So, last Monday, I had the first lot of blood tests so that DH and I could look into IVF and fertility treatment.

Cue this morning... I had a serious backache, so did a "First Response" test, just in case as I wanted to take some heavy duty prescription pain-killers (I'm due on Sat). And there we were... 2 strong pink lines and a BFP! They weren't even faint!

DH and I are over the moon, but in shock because we didn't expect it to happen. In fact, we still can't believe it!

Big congratulations, I had a wonderful shock BFP in April and have my 20 week scan tomorrow Grin

Scrummybumb · 18/08/2011 08:22

Love stories like yours. Congratulations and thanks for sharing Grin

Oh wow so happy for you! Great to hear positive stories! Your DH must be over the moon too!!

Sn0wGoose · 18/08/2011 09:09

Congratulations!!! Yes, thank you for sharing - it's great to hear about this sort of positive story =_=

QuietTiger · 18/08/2011 10:32

Thank you. Just did a Clear Blue digital, another First response and 3 tesco cheapies. (Not that I don't believe the result, you understand Grin )

DH is over the moon and can't stop smiling. I'm in happy shock, because I can't believe it happened and I doubt I will for a while. :)

Congratulations QuietTiger that is wonderful news.

You do realise that you are just showing off with all those tests - just because you can pee a positive Grin

Also thanks again for your advice on the other thread, you made me feel so much less stressed - though I can't believe that you are capable of advising on other peoples rabid hounds when you have had such lovely news today. I would be still gazing at my pregnancy test and wondering whether it would be bad form and a bit distasteful to frame it!

Big congrats again.

RipMacWinkle · 18/08/2011 10:44

Aw that's so lovely - it's so nice to read threads like this.

Congrats to you and your DH - wishing you a healthy, happy pregnancy!

QuietTiger · 18/08/2011 10:54

Poutintrout Glad to have helped. :)

And thank you to everybody - it's a relief to be able to share the news with "someone" as DH and I have made a decision not to tell anyone until it's confirmed by the doctor and we've had a 12 week scan.

Otherwise MIL will be so over the moon she'll tell everyone in the county... seriously - when we got married, we went on honeymoon and by the time we got back, Everyone in the local town had seen our wedding photos. I walked into the bank to "oh, we've seen your wedding photos", then I went into the feed merchant and was greeted with "we've seen your wedding photos", same in the post office and the bloody bakers, not to mention the chemist and the off-licence!
