I hope so dream I've been on these conception boards a long time now but this is the best, most positive long term thread I've come across. Love it, and it keeps me in a good frame of mind. Now, I just need to find that pee stick that will agree with me.....

CakePigeon · 22/08/2011 20:41

Thanks for your unwavering positivity I'm really grateful Smile Im bleeding quite a bit now though so I'm just going to take tonight to have my monthly cry and then I'll be right back to brooking no argument, promise. Sorry for a negative post - keep my pom poms warm for me!

NinjaChipmunk · 22/08/2011 20:48

sorry to hear that cake but we will certainly keep them warm and save you some baked goods. You'll need to keep your strength up if it becomes day 1 of your pregnancy.

Wants3 · 22/08/2011 20:54

All is well, DH home and just accepted that I had done it and then reminded me that there are now 5 doorways to sand and paint too! Well it will keep me busy in between SWI and MN.Wink congrats to all the BFP's today.

thelittlefriend · 22/08/2011 20:58

Oh Meconium, well done! Congratulations to you.

And Cake, love & positivity for the new month to you.

jenfraggle · 22/08/2011 21:19

blimey, another one! Right, must drag dh upstairs now. Nudge nudge wink wink

jaggythistle · 22/08/2011 21:25

good job meconium. :)

sorry cake, this will definitely be your month though!

dream i had the Always attached when i had those bad cramps last Thursday, i was so not brooking any argument. Blush

I'd like to hang around for some cheerleading and cake chat too if that's ok. :)

I'm keeping myself a bit busy with 3 ttc threads (charting, bf and here) and have peeked into the charting and brooking ante natal ones too in the spirit of not brooking.

NinjaChipmunk · 22/08/2011 21:27

you're a busy lady jaggy but yes please don't leave us, we like you around for cake chat and general positivity!

MyGoldenNotebook · 22/08/2011 21:36

Well done Meconium that's amazing! A Line is a line.

wants I take it you are a teacher too? Still two weeks left but having to do bits of work now grrr!

Started SWI ... very enjoyable :-)

cake you shall be joining us with a June baby!

Off to drink my one glass of wine and watch Breaking Bad.

BartletForAmerica · 22/08/2011 22:22

Cake, I had my monthly cry just a few days ago, but that was before I arrived here. It's a shame that I won't be around very long to get to know any of you before I leave for an antenatal thread in 4 weeks time...

Until then, I can provide you with copious cups of (decaffeinated) tea and cake - we are all eating for two, you know.

dream, I know your DH says that MN is not good, but I am a doctor too and I think you should continue to receive the support at this time - doctor's orders! Smile

golden, what are you still doing up at this time? Don't you need to be getting to bed?

want, there is a bedroom here that needs the wallpaper taken off if you get the urge again...

BabySade · 23/08/2011 05:00

It's a BFN for me this morning on a real preggo test Sad think I got a bit carried away yesterday
No worries, I'm still brooking no argument. It's just too early to test clearly Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 23/08/2011 07:01

Silly pee stick Babysade Sad just a matter of finding an agreeable one. When is AF -not- due?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 23/08/2011 07:14

Hi Baby, I'm so sorry to hear you ended up with a deluded pee stick! Which type was it? The Internet cheapies are particularly difficult to sway early on! Keep up the no brooking and those pee sticks will fall in line. Meconium will tell you just how long implantation can take!

Btw is there any small chance you might actually be ovulating today? Either super late or for the second time in your cycle? A positive opk should never be wasted!

Cake I'm so gutted to hear AF might have shown up! How did last night go, is it definite? Of course if she is here that means that it's day 1 of your pg!

It's so crappy when she comes. AF visited me about a week after I first joined this thread, and I was gutted. However the lovely ladies in here helped me to keep Brooking No Argument, and when I said 'today is day 1 of my pg' it was confirmed 3 weeks later! You and Bartlet and everyone else in the first week are soooooo close to your confirmations! Hang in there!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 23/08/2011 07:23

As for me, the FRER gave me a lovely clear line this morn, which was very cheering. However my cramps have significantly ramped up over the last 24 hours (which happens to be the first day AF could have been due) and I freaked myself out yday thinking I might have found a teeny spot of blood. I'm not sure it was a spot, and I haven't seen anything else (not even wiping - sorry if tmi!). I just feel really vulnerable this week.

I've noticed the cramps quiet down when I lie still, and really intensify when I'm running around doing stuff, so I will be spending the rest of this week revising quietly on my bed whenever I can.

Squeak and I have ramped up our no brooking and positive visualisations to meet this risk head on! We are NOT having it!

jenfraggle · 23/08/2011 07:41

Well we DTD last night after lots of moaning from DH. Not a good start as it was only day 1 so he couldn't say he was fed up with it!

Just a slight TMI problem. Whenever he pulls out of me, it all just comes sloshing straight out. I'm worrying whether any is staying in there to do its job

MyGoldenNotebook · 23/08/2011 09:00

Morning glowing ladies!

Hmmm ... Jen maybe you could ask him to stay inside you for a while? A ten minute cuddle (just to make it sound romantic rather than scientific :-) )

Scream keep up the positive thinking. Look a some lovely maternity and babywear online. Try to enjoy the early excitement although I know it must be hard. We're all rooting for you!

Can I ask a question? Is it really true that you can conceive just after your AF and that this may be your most fertile time? I'm simply wondering if that's where I've been going wrong.

I had a piece of chocolate fridge cake for breakfast this morning. Must be pregnancy cravings!

NinjaChipmunk · 23/08/2011 09:14

notebook I have no idea about fertility straight after af but i guess it doesn't hurt to try? chocolate fridge cake sounds yummy.

I think i shall take ds to the transport museum today. we went last year and the tickets are valid for a year so it could be a good call on such a miserable day.
Well i don't know if it is because ds keeps waking me up at 2am but i so needed a middle of the night wee last night, and i kept having strange dreams too. a symptom maybe?

MeconiumHappens · 23/08/2011 09:18

Jen don't worry about the sloshing, i think theres always some of that. Maybe try swi with the pillow already under your bum and squeezing your pelvic floor as he exits? Or maybe something like doggy style as apparently it leaves the semen close to the cervix so more likely they will head on up rather than drop out? We used preseed this month and there was a LOT of sloshing haha!
OOh im another one with a bfp on 1st month using preseed, coincidence?

MeconiumHappens · 23/08/2011 09:20

golden it depends when you ovulate, some people ov really early so could get bfp from a just after af swi, other peopl (like me) ov really late so swi after af would be just for fun.

MyGoldenNotebook · 23/08/2011 09:22

Ninja of course it's a symptom.

Meconium I am buying preseed today. Is it tricky / messy to use or just like lube. Isn't there some kind of tube?

MyGoldenNotebook · 23/08/2011 09:23

PS can you get it from Boots?

jaggythistle · 23/08/2011 09:30

It's kind of runny but fine to use. You can, ahem, insert it with a squirty applicator thing, or just use it as normal.. I had run out this time but was using it when I got pg last time.

I figure it can't hurt if it makes swimmers happy Grin

I've bought it from Amazon and Access Diagnostics, not seen it in Boots.

jaggythistle · 23/08/2011 09:31

I wouldn't buy the separate little tubes btw, I found them a bit rubbish. I bought the bigger tube with separate (optional) disposable application devices.

Wants3 · 23/08/2011 09:37

Golden yes I am pre-school, I also have been preparing for the new term but am determined to make the most of these last 2 weeks especially SWI!
America let me just recover from yesterday's scraping and I'll be there, we ladies mustn't exert ourselves too much in one go!
Anyone- TMI, but I am booked in for a smear test today,AF was beginning of last week so not ovulating yet but should I mention TTC?

dreamfeeder · 23/08/2011 09:58

Oh, another one with a BFP first month of Pre-seed!! golden, Mine was from amazon. I used the applicators. I didn't re-use them, but i did wonder about washing them up and re-using. After all, they're not paper, they're plastic, so i don't see why you couldn't. It was messy without them...

jen, i was also worried about it all sloshing straight back out. TMI but we tried doggy as thought it was good for the swimmers to get in though i hate it and loads of pelvic floor exs plus a bit of lying quietly with a pillow under my hips on my back afterwards (I did that last time too)

scream, i am continuing to fret over various cramps and pains. I never normally have cramps with AF, usually backache so i'm hyper-sensitive i think!! I', sure its just these babies settling in. Don't forget, 81% chance all will be just fine

bartlet, great! I'm glad coming on here is Doctor's orders. My dh is very fed up with me worrying about things and asking him, i don't know why he doesn't appreciate mn more... I have many, many walls with textured wallpaper I'd like off if anyone's offering? They have all been painted over in antique white (like the whole house- we've been in nearly 10 months and have done nothing...). DH says it's fine, nothing needs doing. Typical. Also that radiator still isn't looking good imps, i'm doing badly at sanding down the drips and re-doing... What about an imps/ wants duo decorating team? I'll be the dogsbody but clearly have very limited skills....
