Morning Rat Smackers

How are we all today?

Congratulations jaggy on yet another BFP. I also had another one this morning with an internet cheapie and the line is definitely getting stronger every day.

My boobs are hurting again this morning so I'm taking that as a good sign. But I do now have a weird crampy/pulling sensation in the uterus area which is worrying me now intead. This paranoia is awful, I am driving myself mad.

Had a bad night with DS. He has a terrible cough which seems to be worse when he's in bed. He's been coughing all night, I got up with him at 5.30am so feel like I'm ready to hit the hay again already but have to go out and do a food shop.

It seems like it's gone quiet on the BFP front as we've not had one for 2 days! Anyone due to test? I can't remember.

GenericDietCola · 22/08/2011 09:07

Hello all, hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Glad you are still getting nice, strong positives Jaggy, Scarlet and Scream!

Cake any news today? Hope you are feeling better unless it's morning sickness in which case it will probably hang about for a few weeks yet

Late I'm sure you are pregnant already my love.

Hello newbies and congratulations on your pregnancies.

This is the week I am conceiving my second child! How exciting! The SWI has started and I think I'll ovulate around Thursday-Saturday so I'm going to demand aim for an every day shagathon right through to the BH weekend.

Oh and I made peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies this weekend - help yourselves. They're protein-rich for our developing beans.

CakePigeon · 22/08/2011 09:14

Morning all

Glad to hear your positive is even more positive scarlet I think cramping might be a good sign? your uterus is going through a lot at the moment so it's entitled to a bit of a grumble about it!

Good luck with the shagathon generic!

I am still feeling awful and - TMI alert! - this morning had some pink tinged cm so maybe I am out? Hope not as in a daring move I am wearing white knickers Grin oh dear! AF not not due until Thursday - let the obsessive knicker checking commence!

jaggythistle · 22/08/2011 09:18

aw your poor DS scarlet. mine was fine at night but decided that 6am was a great time to get up when I'm not working today!

yay, another BFP for you too. :)

ok i am finally convinced i am probably up the duff after a testathon with CBD, Asda and cheapie. Grin i will now step away from the tests.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/08/2011 09:18

Morning all! Congrats again to Jaggy and Scarlet, I'm glad the pee sticks are sending consistently reassuring messages to you both - I'm sure the CBD will fall in line for Jaggy shortly as well.

I'm also daily poas'ing at the moment, but only doing FRER every other day. So this morning was an internet cheapy and I was very happy to see a good clear line come up, rather than the super faint lines I was getting previously. I'm really hoping the FRER will give me a clear strong line tomorrow!

Welcome to the newbies! I can tell that you are going to fit in beautifully Congratulations on your obvious pregnancies (now that you've joined this thread)! When will you be confirming Musical?

I am also scarily hooked to Dr Google. I terrify myself on a daily basis with unnecessary and unhelpful "information"! The only person in my family who is worse about creating unnecessary things to worry about is my father, so even though I've told my Mum about my ever-increasing collection of pee sticks I've sworn her to secrecy!!

Who has everyone else told? Dream? Scarlet? Jaggy? MrsB?

Also, where is Minesa? I don't think we've seen her since her BFP which was AGES ago (probably only a week or so! lol).

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/08/2011 09:21

Peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies!?! Generic you are my new idol!!!

jaggythistle · 22/08/2011 09:26

only DH and my 2 good friends who knew about ttc. they are good at keeping secrets, which is good cos i work with them!

last time round we told parents and siblings at about 6 weeks i think, couldn't keep it in any longer. can't really decide what to do!

they will be madly excited so might hold off for a week or so. i made my dad cry on the phone when i told him before. :)

GenericDietCola · 22/08/2011 09:27

Oh Scarlet forgot to say re the cramps - they are totally normal, please don't worry. It's just miniscarlet settling in and your uterus stretching.

Cake classic implantation bleed (see Dream). You're preggo!

Jaggy glad your POAS obsession has drawn to a close!

Scream great stuff re internet cheapies!

maybebabyR · 22/08/2011 09:29

Morning preggos Smile

Sorry for my lack of communication this weekend, I haven't really been home much!

Hello to all the newbies

Congrats to those reconfirming what we have all known all along Grin

I have no idea if/when I will test. CD22 here, so am guessing I am in the 2ww.

Generic I love peanut butter, in any form, but especially in the form of a cookie

Wants3 · 22/08/2011 09:29

Morning all, I am making the most of SWI ( how long should I stand on my head?) I am thinking I might not bother with the pee sticks and just tell the doctor I have been on this thread, it seems to be much more reliable! Hehe:) Congrats to all the new bean carriers and thanks for my welcome.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/08/2011 09:32

That's lovely Jaggy especially having people at work that you can trust! There are a couple of people in my office that I'm also planning to tell, but as I'm off work for the next 3 weeks I won't be telling them until I get back.

I'm hoping to keep it from my Dad until after the 8 week scan, but I know my Mum is HOPELESS at keeping secrets from him so I expect I'll get a call from him in the next week or so... No doubt a call filled with lots of crazy-scary suggestions for things I hadn't even thought about going wrong!!!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 22/08/2011 09:36

I type too slowly for this thread!! Every time I try to write something I miss 2 or 3 new posts in the process! Grin

Love the idea of Wants doing a headstand after SWI Grin I'm sure if we look hard enough Dr Google will confirm that there is a statistically proven link between headstands and chances of conceiving!

MeconiumHappens · 22/08/2011 09:43

Rat smackers, I need your help! I am quite obviously with child but cant convince the pee sticks of this fact. I think i need some group brooking. AF is 6 days late. Thought it might be useful to rub myself over this bfp-tastic thread. Dog is looking at me a bit funny though.

musicalmrs · 22/08/2011 09:45

Congratulations to jaggy, scarlet and Scream - how exciting! Do you have display cabinets for your POAS collections yet?

Scream - I'm in the 2ww (I think; cycles still not fully adjusted after being on the pill for years), so if this thread is true to form, it shouldn't be too long until confirmation ;) And if not, I'll join Wants in the headstands!

MyGoldenNotebook · 22/08/2011 09:53

Great news on all the strong positive pee sticks! I'm feeling super positive about embarking on super SWI action this evening even though I'm knackered after staying up till 1am to watch The Great British Bake Off on iplayer (LOVE baking) and then getting up at 6.30 with DS.

Off to have a hot bath to beautify myself for tonight - I may even paint my nails and put on some clothes that have been ironed (rare).

So is it really best every other day and not every day?

MyGoldenNotebook · 22/08/2011 09:54

Hey wants we're cycle buddies aren't we? I'm due 14th September on CD 5 now.

Wants3 · 22/08/2011 09:55

Well lovely as it is to chat to you lovely positive ladies, I have to go and tidy the house in prep for DSM and DFs arrival. I need to hide the Folic acid and preg mags aswell! Catch up with you all later.

maybebabyR · 22/08/2011 09:58

Oooh, Meconium some group brooking coming your way. Fingers crossed yu find a pee stick that agrees with you soon.

Golden I too love baking, and am addicted to that program! Have fun tonight Wink

GenericDietCola · 22/08/2011 10:02

Meconium - relax, now you're on this thread it is a done deal.

Golden - got an evening to myself tonight so am also going to paint nails etc and be waiting in something alluring for when DH gets home!

Maybe nice to see you.

Of the vit B complex-takers, is anyone experiencing any problems with them? I have been nauseous and a bit 'upset' stomach-wise for a week or so and I think it's the vit B. Anyone else? Don't know whether to stop them or persevere. Are they going to make me pregnant this month or is it just the awesome shagging

CakePigeon · 22/08/2011 10:03

jaggy it's lovely that you work with such close friends Smile

meconium ooh that is truly exciting you are so obviously pregnant I know of NO other reason why your period would be late at all. You don't even need pee stick confirmation it is that obvious!

NinjaChipmunk · 22/08/2011 10:07

generic your cookies are just what i need this morning. Yummy.
meconium you are pregnant, there is no doubt about it. It cannot be any other way.
wants don't tidy too much, you don't want to over exert yourself in your condition.
maybe i'm on cd21, what length are yours usually? I'm reckoning on tail end of bank holiday weekend for af not arriving.
at work today and as usual not in the mood, i'd much rather be here.....

maybebabyR · 22/08/2011 10:10

Oooh, it appears we are cycle buddies Ninja Smile

Normally they are 35 days ish, but then last month was 42! How long are yours normally? Not that is matters this month, as you are so clearly with child...

Imps7 · 22/08/2011 10:10

Hello hello hello! I'm back after an excellent weekend away. So many new faces and bumps! Hello to you all!

Sorry for BFN Cake but you have clearly tested too early. You may also not have carried out a thorough enough interview process with the pee stick to establish its credentials for confirming the Blindingly Obvious. Better luck with the next one.

Anyone else at 4 DPO?? Do I have a testing buddy amongst you???

maybebabyR · 22/08/2011 10:12

Morning Imps, glad you had a lovely break. Anywhere nice? I think you should join myself and Ninja I don't really know when I ovulated, but I am hoping I am in the 2ww!

scarletfingernail · 22/08/2011 10:24

Yummy cookies thanks generic

Welcome musical and meconium Wow this thread is getting busy. All the BFPs are drawing people in. This thread really does work by the way.

Didn't get any nausea from taking the B vits generic if anything they made me feel better than normal. Do you have a fast metabolism anyway? Mine's quite sluggish and I think it helped speed mine up. If yours was good to begin with maybe the vits could be causing things to move even faster IFYWIM?

Thanks for the words of wisdom re the cramps, it's actually gone off again now Blush I'm a nightmare aren't I. While we're on the subject of weird symptoms though, do any of you know anything about sensitive skin in early pregnancy? The skin on my lower back is so tender to touch, there's no rash and it's only started this morning but it's the weirdest sensation.

Still not told anyone else apart from DH, Dr and best friend. No framing of pee sticks musical the ones from last week have gone really manky already so they were confined to the wheelie bin this morning. (Have just kept a couple from the weekend to make comparisons with Grin)
