I am 40 and re-married 3 years ago and have been trying to conceive for 3 years. Have had 3 miscarriages and recently decided to try IVF in a bid to 'harvest' my eggs and increase the ability to get get a 'good egg'. After one attempt I did not produce follicles large enough. My doctor told me that this was indicative of a women whose egg reserve is low, and of bad quality and that I should consider egg donation. I was only pregnant last in December so I am not sure how I have suddenly lost the quality - or has anybody else had this experience?
