I'm hoping someone can help me! I realised last night that I have been putting the sticks in my pot of wee for only 5 seconds. last night(CD14) the stick showed the test line slightly darker than the guide line so we bd'd. Today though (CD15), I have done one and the line is really, really dark. Sorry if I'm being naive [embarassed]but does that mean that ov is hopefully really near, when yesterday it was just getting near? If so, I guess we have more bding tonight?

sperm lasts a few days I think(male sperm longer than female), so if you ovulate a day after bd I think you should be ok.

A +ve OPK means that you will OV in the next 12-48 hours.

I've read some guidelines on a thing called the "egg meet sperm" method. This says that you should BD for three days in a row from the first +ve OPK, then skip a day, then BD again on the fifth day. This should give you the best chance of getting a sperm to your egg.

Note it still won't guarantee you get pregnant - I think the statistics state that even if you get a sperm to an egg you still only have a 20-25% chance of a successful pregnancy that month.

Hope this helps!

Hugs,
Artoo.
