Ladies, we ran out of space on the old thread so here is a sparkly new one with dedicated areas for waggle dancing, hormonal outbreaks of bonkersness, sniffing, injecting and progesterone pessary related fartiness.

For anyone thinking about starting IVF / ICSI or going through it at the moment, do come and say hello. These wonderful ladies have kept me sane through the last few months and are a source of all knowledge concerning tests, down-regging, ov stimulating, DIY injections and much more so if you need any info or just some company, do join us.

So here's a welcome Brew for everyone and an enormous waggle dance for many many more BFPs to come

I'm now on the 2 week wait as well. Had 2 embies transferred yesterday. It's scary Confused I'm trying my best not think about it...

MrsMigginslovespies · 30/09/2011 14:25

Grin Grin Ahh, wonderful news Pumpkin, am thrilled for you, congratulations!

And super news too Jumping! You did the right thing by going with their advice and lovely that you could see some photos. I didn't know they could do that (making mental note to ask!) but I guess makes it all a bit more real and back in your control once you see something (if that makes sense?!). I really have lots of hopes that this is a lucky thread and am excited about it all starting soon. It's been brilliant to gain some proper insight from everyone's experiences and I wish you all so much luck in your journeys ahead.

Am sending Thanks, Brew and Smile for a happy weekend with more sunshine.

Way to go Pumpkin, hoorah, huge congrats, am so so happy for you xx. Like Kool I've checked the thread so many times on phone whilst driving west this morning, that I've zapped my battery and of course forgotten charger but so worth it for the happy news!!!

Great news HoHo and Jumping on your transfers.

Wishing everyone a lovely sunshiney weekend GrinGrin

HoHoLaughingMonster · 30/09/2011 14:59

Is anyone else feeling as hot as me?

I know it is hot, but I'm sure I cope better in summer.

I'm positively damp with sweat and I've only been doing a bit of light vacuuming Blush

Pleeease tell me it's the hormones and it will calm down, it's a bit unsettling...

And I've also got 3 massive boil like zits on my chin and my skin feels really oily. Urgh.

And to add insult to injury I'm still bloated and my clothes are digging in around my rather large middle.

Gosh I what a lovely picture I paint of myself Grin

jumpingjackhash · 30/09/2011 15:33

Hoho, you poor thing! First, stop vacuuming!!

I know what you mean about the bloating - I feel so fat and swollen too, I was hoping it would go down by now but no joy! Asparagus is meant to help with it though - might give that a whirl.

How did you feel during ET? I went really clammy and nearly passed out, DH had welts on his hand from my fingernails digging in (wimp... me, not him) - not what I was expecting at all! In and out in a few minutes, if was almost a bit of an anti-climax after all the stuff before! Wink

zeebee1 · 30/09/2011 16:08

Hi ho ho and jumping congrats on your v successful transfers - WOW what a brilliant acheivement to have come this far - so excited for you both!
2WW - i have no tips - except to have some nice things going on - are either of you taking some time off work... think the weather is supposed to be nice still?! anyway fab news!! Grin

pumpkin GREAT news - congrats on the BFP. Good luck and plenty of me time for you Thanks wonderful!

I had my usual daily scan and bloods this morning and the hosp just rang now to say they might do my EC on Monday ! Eek! Wasn't expecting that - so soon! I think my follicles must be responding OK. It look the nurse about 10 minutes today to measure and note them all down - so fingers crossed!
I have all of next week off work, so feel nice and relaxed jsut thinking I'm not going to have to tell anyone about why i'm not in the office...
Anyway have lovely sunny Friday's all...
((())) to GP hope you are ok - we are all thinking of you loads...

pumpkinjoy · 30/09/2011 17:56

Hi everyone-Thank you so much for your kindness-as always it means so much.
Kool am not so much SE London, more Croydon 'INNIT'! but let's not split hairs-we must be very close! I know what youre saying and I will try to relax. I just don't want to jump ahead of myself and really want to get this scan out of the way-I have a dull ache in both sides of my lower tummy-on and off-and it's making me para-only cos I had it when I was pregnant with MMC. Do you think that means anything sinister? Oh God do you think it's possible for anyone who's had IVF to have an enjoyable experience of pregnancy?
Hoho and Jumping it's lovely you have each other as cycle buddies-the 2ww is not too bad, well its just ANOTHER wait...try to be good to yourselves and yes Hoho def NO vaccuming! It is bloomin hot eh? Suppose we should enjoy it though as likely to change on tuesday. It's very likely it's all the mad drugs you've been taking is making you flush-I still feel abit like that.

Zeebee Wow EC on monday-those follies must be well on their way to maturity-it's great you have all next week off and no need to explain takes the pressure off.

Skitoo sorry about your charger! Blush Kept meaning to take some 'computer time' at work but in between calling the clinic and telling my sister I suppose I had to 'be seen' to be working so to speak. Hope you're feeling okay?
Lots of love too to Mrsmiggins Danny and Bugsy what's the latest with you guys? Also hope you're okay GP Sorry if I've missed anyone but hello to you too!
Lots of love and cooling vibes to us all who are over heating!-I am getting very excited about watching 'Strictly' later too!!

koolforcats · 30/09/2011 19:01

hoho move AWAY from the vacuum cleaner! You should be lying back being fanned, fed grapes and eating ice lollies!!

pumpkin, dull ache sounds completely normal, so much so that I'm still getting it. I still freak out too as that's also what I associate with my mmc but as long as there's no spotting or bleeding it's normal, already your uterus will be growing so there's going to be some stretching going on. Unfortunately the worrying doesn't really stop now! (sorry!) which is why you just have to take it a day at a time. I know what you mean about wondering if it's possible to have an enjoyable pregnancy - it's hard, you've not only had a mmc but also been through the arduous ivf process. I think I'm starting to feel a weeny bit more relaxed so I'm sure I'll be a chilled out earth mother before long!!

Great news Zeebee, have a lovely relaxing weekend in preparation xx

Cloclo15 · 30/09/2011 22:09

Well done Hoho and jumping on your ETs - sending good luck vibes your way.

Good news about the EC zeebee - well done to your follies :)

Fantastic news pumpkin - so exciting, I know what you mean about IVF as I'm sure I would be the same, not really believing it till I'm actually giving birth! :)

Day 4 of downregging. Did anyone else get a really upset stomach and heavy feeling in their belly on these? I've had a bad stomach all evening and had to come to bed with a peppermint tea :(

jumpingjackhash · 30/09/2011 22:25

Hi Cloclo! Sorry you're not having the best time on the DR, luckily I didn't have too many side effects, just some constipation (sorry if tmi!) although I did suddenly feel really heavy and bloated on around day 9/10 so I guess that's not too unusual. Keep drinking lots of water and remind yourself you're not on these for that long. Hopefully someone with better advice will come along soon but in the meantime peppermint Brew sounds like a good idea.

Italiangreyhound · 01/10/2011 00:38

pumpkinjoy so sorry to stalk you but saw you on this thread and just wanted to say Whoopie! So pleased for you. I am on the two week wait. Sending you all my best, Italiangreyhound from assisted conception thread.

pumpkinjoy · 01/10/2011 09:00

Thanks so much Italian I have left you a message on your home thread. Just wanting to say to Cloco how miserable you feel like this on those HORRID DR. On my first cycle I felt exactly the same and was crossing between tummy upsets and constipation. It is good to drink lots of fluids-esp water-and resting-take time for yourself. I hope you feel a bit better soon-sending you Flowers in the meantime to cheer you up a bit. LOots of love to all and hope everyone is going to have a lovely weekend in the sunshine-we may go to a beach tomorrow!! Lots of love xxx

pumpkinjoy · 01/10/2011 09:02

Cloco I meant to send Thanks was confused with the icons below-think my brain moved too quickly (or too slowly!) Here, have another bunch Thanks

Italiangreyhound · 01/10/2011 10:29

pumpkinjoy thank you for your kind words on the other thread. Thanks

Teds77 · 01/10/2011 17:21

Oooo pumpkin lovely wonderful news! Well done you xx Always room for a some more Thanks I think...

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 01/10/2011 19:32

Loads of news since I was last here!

Teds good luck with starting at the Lister hopefully the menopur blasting will work and your ovaries won't know what's hit them!
hoho and jumping congratulations on ET's. I have no tips for the 2ww I was a NIGHTMARE and tested early anyway.
pumpkin congratulations on you BFP! The time to the 6w scan does go faster than the 2ww I promise...

News from here is that our 12w scan went fine and my pregnancy symptoms have calmed down so feeling much better. Starting to believe that this might actually happen...

Cloclo15 · 01/10/2011 21:13

Thanks for the well wishes pumpkin and jumping - woke up with bad bloating this morning but has calmed down now and main symptoms appear to be the same as PMT - very sore boobs/weeping at RSPCA adverts etc which I am used to so will be fine if I can avoid any more upset stomach. Very tired though so have let DH go out without me tonight and I'm in bed with one of the cats watching telly! Just call me Mrs Excitement :)

zeebee1 · 01/10/2011 22:13

clo I was exactly the same with the tiredness- had to be in bed by 9 or would fall asleep!! Hope the bloating gets less - 2-3 litres of water a day will help!! I had headaches and greasy hair (?) while on the DR. Wierd.
Anyway hope you feel better soon
zb

koolforcats · 02/10/2011 08:50

Teds I suddenly realised I'd meant to reply as soon as you posted the other day but the news on the expectant pumpkin patch distracted me! I just wanted to say how great it was to hear from you, I think you made the best decision to give another clinic a try as it sounds like it has given you a new lease of life. It all sounds really positive and like there's still lots of hope left.

And Dannygirl it's great that you've got an appointment to talk things through and hopefully get started on your FET before long, good luck!

And lastly, welcome pinkforboys Smile

jumpingjackhash · 02/10/2011 09:48

Good to hear your scan went well Owl!

Now my bloat has started to ease off but I burst into tears for no reason so swings and roundabouts with side effects hey?! Boobs also really sensitive/sore, a positive sign, or just another side effect?

koolforcats · 02/10/2011 10:08

jumping my boobs were crazy sore on the progesterone, I was in a bra 24-7 (and I'm fairly modest in the boobage department!) Grin

pumpkinjoy · 02/10/2011 14:24

Hey Zeebee are you still on for EC tomorrow? Good luck and sending lots of (((( )))) and love. Well done Owl on the 12w scan-bet that feels nice to have passed that milestone. Hi to everyone else-hope you're not over heating.
xxx xxx

zeebee1 · 02/10/2011 17:36

Hi pumpkin thanks so much for your thoughts and ((())) - EC will now not be tomorrow, however follicles are still growing and looking in good shape but a few more need to get over that finishing line, so fingers crossed EC will be either Tues or (more likely) Wed... more blood tests tomorrow and no stimming tonight Grin. I can really feel my right side ones pulling today - in fact it's wiped me out a bit this afternoon, also it's so hot, so have taken to my bed for a bit, then plan on a night of xfactor and a nice fish stew Smile...

jumping how ae you getting on? Are you managing to not lift a finger? Hope you've got your DH doing lots of things for you - Ho Ho the same?

Waves to all
zb

Dannygirl · 02/10/2011 18:19
