What do you think?
Firstly only been trying this month for a bubba and I know it usually takes between 6mths to a yr to concieve but got preg with our D- who is now just over a year and brought some preg test kits from ebay- are they reliable???
Secondly... have done a few of them- my period is due tomorrow and all come back negative. Could I still be preg??? Thirdly feel like the mad woman of tesco's then going and buying a 'job lot' of clearblue preg tests incase the ebay strips don't work! GRRR... Now that has tested negative too! Is it true?
Fourthly- sorry it's a long one but I have had pains since Saturday like I should be on my period and aching back and stomach aches and pains. Am I imagining them? Am I still likely to come on? Normally I have no cramps, I bleed first then have gut wrenching cramps.... Is this good or bad news?
Fifthly- when should I do next preg test...? Tommorrow will be the day i'm due on but should I wait a few days now or just use up the unreliable ebay ones......???
HELP?

Pol25-99% of Ebay tests are accurate-the only dodgy ones are On Call which shows a strong Evap line.

To be honest-I would wait a few more days as the Clear Blue are so accurate and give you a definite result.

I thought you were due on yesterday? Or am I remembering that wrong? If it's tomorrow then it is definitely too early.
If you can, hold off until you are actually late, as this must be costing you a fortune - especially the clear blue ones.
Personally I think the internet pg tests are quite reliable enough, or they were for me last time.

Haven't you all gathered i'm not very patient! I just wanna be preg- and I know it's pretty selfish as half of you on here have had real probs trying to concieve and not sure how i'd cope in that situation so hats of to you!
But still no period... and on ebay test no double line- grr... just waiting and I hate waiting.

Oh I'm quite with you on that one! The days just seem to drag by when you are waiting to test, don't they.
I am due on next Monday/Tuesday and keep looking at the calendar to check how many days it is to go - I check several times a day, as if it is going to be any different from one time to the next! I just caaaaaan't wait.

Am due AF anytime from Friday and there is a good chance I could be pg.
I have the acon tests from ebay and I am sooo tempted to test but daren't incase it's too early.

Well still no period... have been eating for England too and all of a sudden want to eat lamb- but could be imagining it all so I shouldn't get my hopes up!
I hate waiting and I check calendar all the time too... I have also devised a dots system- v. sad I know! Ha ha ha! Oh well if I do come on it'll be a red dot day.

I am getting by with all your testing stories to keep me going until next week.

Oh another thing Pol - how often are you going to the toilet to check for AF?

Ha ha. Well 0nly tested once today- as yet! Think I should take shares out in clear blue if i'm not preg this month!
How long have you been trying?

I think I'm going to test on Saturday morning which will be day 26. I'm going to the MN yorkshire meet up so if I am pg I don't want to be drinking too much!

I've been getting a pain in my left side too the last 3 days. It's just below my ribs so I don't know if thats a sign of anything.

This is the first month - we didn't really 'try' with dd last time so it is new to me.

just wanted to add my twopenneth worth to this..... dh and i cant wait to concieve, officially due to start jan 06 [[[[jump up and down emoticon!] but not using any contraception and not being too careful, but so, so looking forward to the time that i can do the peeing on the stick thing! keep telling myself, not next month but the month after, we'll be REALLY trying good luck to everyone trying atm x x

I fell preg with D last time when I was on the pill... had a bout of the trots!
Feel as if I might come on and did not have this last time but friend said she did feel as if she was going to come on even tho she didn't. Feel sad that I might come on and thats stupid- have only been trying the last month!

NO news as yet. No period or double lined test! Grrr... at least if i'm going to come on, my body could have the decency of doing it now so we can start trying again...

I tested with acon early tests 4 days before af was due and they cam back positive. The clearblue can be used from 3/4 days before af due as well.

Some people don't test pos until several weeks after af was due so still hope for you.

I was reading the pee on a stick website and in the pregnancy testing faq section it talked about women not getting a +ve until later than usual. Her reasoning was that it was to do with the rate that women synthesise the HcG hormone into their urine - some women take longer and so the pregnancy tests won't pick it up.
Now, I don't know her credentials or how accurate that is, but it is an interesting theory for why some MNers haven't had a positive test for up to 3 weeks after AF.

At least you haven't had your AF yet and that can only be a good thing, so keep your pecker up.

Well Maybetwo- I hope your bleeding is just implantation and nothing to worry about and rubles- hope your test is +ive on Tues!!!
Still have kinda pains. Not so bad as other days but no period still... so who knows. It's true in a way though that at least I haven't come on, although had really irratic periods since D was born and come off pill. Took me three months to have a proper period (the last one) and thought they were all back to normal. GP said it was normal after having a baby and coming off the pill (was on from Nov-July)and had no periods til Oct) Said that things should have returned to normal- but maybe they haven't although do feel as if I should be on or am going to come on, which I didn't before. And surely worrying about actually not wanting to come on cannot prevent my period, can it??? I only thought that was the other way around....
Oh sorry to ramble but the calendar dots and pee'ing in a tub has gone to me head!

Feeling awful. No +ive result yet and no period.Tried my last clear blue test today and balls'd it up and the test window has no line and the other window is -ive... maybe I am -ive or do I do again cause nothing in test window???
Still no period and feeling miserable. Annoyed with a buddy who said ignore the feelings and the baby will come of its own accord. Huuuummmpfh! I'd like to add she has no children and is not one bit maternal either. Grrr feeling all cross about it. Doesn't she realise that yes, only been trying for amonth but we really want this baby!
Felt so preg yeaterday walking round bluewater and felt sickie and had a funny taste in my month, also craved chocolate which I never do at all... except when I was last pregnant. Also last week lamb was my fave food....! But today feel sad, miserable and not preg... Can I imagine all these things and can I stop my period coming by wishing it doesn't?
Also been having very bad acid!!! Living on gaviscon- but I suppose that can be me in overdrive thinking about a baby! CAN IT???

pol if there was nothing in the test window or the result window then yes i'd do the test again, it would suggest it didn't work properly, which sort are you useing?

aww pol , I do know your anxiety , how many days late are you now, or are you not sure? I think you should may be tale another test and if thats inconclusive ,may be wait a few more days and then se a gp. I know its horrid waiting and waiting x
