started light spotting when period due but now stopped....?

I'm not very clued-up about conception issues - can anyone help me?

My period was due two days ago, but all I got was the tiniest bits of light spotting which soon stopped altogether. Three pregnancy tests have all come up negative.

I've a bit of googling and have now managed to half-convince myself that the spotting was actually very late implantation bleeding.

I don't 'feel' particularly pregnant (although I would love to be!) Does anybody know of any other reason why a period would start with spotting and then stop again.

Greenbananas* I don't have any specific advice but did you do the pg tests first thing in the morning? I don't know much about spotting (I'm more of an all or nothing girl iykwim! ) but the tests work best with the first urine of the day.

I also know of a few people who got negative tests after their period was due but were still pregnant so you never know, it could still be your month. Maybe leave it another day or two and test again, and then perhaps if still getting negative tests results and no sign of your period it might be worth making an appointment with you GP.

Do you normally have quite a regular cycle?

I had exactly this - turns out I was pg. Your best bet is a First Response test used with first morning wee. Good luck!

Thanks both Yes, I did a test with morning wee. I've done a bit more googling and have now learned that a test won't come up positive for about 5 days after implantation. Gah! I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

I'm on the same boat. Had light pink/brown bleeding on Sat/Sun which lasted less than 24 hours. AF is due tomorrow. I won't test til the weekend just in case. This never happened to me before though so fingers crossed. Good luck girls. Let's all have some baby dust. :) x
