Pre-Eclampsia 1,2,3 times

Ok I'll keep it short!

We have 2 Kids one is 8 and the other is 3, I had pre-eclampsia with both of them, Both born early, One at 34 weeks one at 32 weeks.

Now the doctors are not able to tell me if I'd get it again just say there is a risk

Has anyone had it 3 times? Is anyone really that unlucky??

We want to have another baby but I am terrified

I've got no experience in this area but I didn't want your post to go unanswered. I totally understand why you're so scared with the background. Have you seen a gynae doc for advice or was it just a GP? I'm hoping by answering this I'll bump the thread and someone might be able to help!

Get refered to a consultant for proper advice.

I stopped after 2 as the experience was so scary, but I wish you well. they seem to be able to manage pe quite well now.

Well we have our appointment through for the 6th September so at least we'll know a bit more :-)

Hi, I have not experienced this but my cousin has had it on both pregnancies, first baby was born at 34 weeks, she then miscarried a couple of times and second baby born 35 weeks, she is carrying her 3rd and after being refered to a specialist has been told she has a very common condition that can be helped by a small dose of asprin. Unfortunatley I can not remember the conditions name but it can be detected by a simple blood test. Dont know if this is relevant to you but she is now 38 weeks and no problems so fingers crossed xx

I also heard that low dose aspirin may help. I'm not a doctor, but my friend who is a GP said that sometimes something simple like aspirin helps and they don't know why it does. Anyway - the consultant should be able to shed more light.
