What shall I do?

Sorry to jump straight in with only a brief intro - I've been lurking on here whilst TTC for 2.5 years now and have name changed as I wanted a fresh start and to stop obsessing every month so have not posted for a while :-(

Today is day 16 of a 27 day cycle. I am very regular usually, however this month I was 1-2 days late but only really noticed afterwards when I was working dates out. TMI alert - today I have passed quite a large clot and am bleeding bright red. I usually spot for a few days before period so this has come as quite a shock and I'm not sure what to do? Should I be worried? Should I just see what happens? Btw I'm 38 and have had all blood tests and HCG all normal.

Advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated, as I'm worried now that something is not right.

anyone? its happened again and just confided in work colleague, who suggests I ring GP. My GP is useless.

Hi peggylou. Have you done a pg test? Just incase your late period last months wasn't a period at all? (if you've been TTC for 2.5 years, I expect you would have done one last month when late, but maybe worthwhile doing another?)
As it's mid-cycle, I think I'd contact doc if this happened to me. If your doc isn't much, use, is there a practice nurse you could see instead?

I was going to suggest a pg test too. Can you change gp? Maybe it's worth finding one you like and trust.

I am going to make appt to see GP now. Bleeding is heavier, still clots and cramping. I was hoping it would subside but its not . I did a test a day before AF was due which was negative, but I do know a was a day or two late. Really worried as this has never happened to me before. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi, thank you all for asking how I went on! been to the docs this morning... she checked me over, tbh first proper internal examination I've had, even though we've been going to Clinic for tests for 9 months! She said everything is ok, no sign of ovarian cysts, everything in right place, all looks good. She thinks it is most likely ovulation bleeding which can occur sometimes. I've got to keep a calendar and go back in 3 months, or sooner if I have the same thing again! Bleeding has almost stopped. Very weird. Two days of heavy bleeding, which I don't normally have!
