Please please reasure me!

Hi all. Last week hubby did a sperm test and today the results were due. However apparently he has to do it again because we didn't drop them off within two hours. However we did! We were at the hospital within 30 mins, with cotton wool etc wrapped around the pot to keep it warm etc. I'm now totally panicking that they were all dead which is why they thought it was over two hours? Am I being silly? Has this happened to anyone else? So worried.

Actually I suspect it's much more likely that someone left them on a shelf for 2 hours by mistake, and now they are trying to pretend it was you to cover their mistake.

Don't worry, honestly. Do it again and get someone to write down when you hand the pot in!!

We had a similar issue, they were funny with us about getting them there quicker (22 minutes?!) but when GP checked the report it took them 80! Minutes to get round to analysing them. It's annoying having to repeat it but our GP didn't seem overly concerned that the first one was not brilliant. Try not to worry. Make sure as minipie days you record when he did it, when you got it to the lab so they know any time delay isn't his fault!
