New to using CBFM. Tips on using it anyone?

Just started it this month, turned it on on day 5 and did first wee test on day 6 as instructed. Now on day 11 and it has not yet registered a "high". As I have a 32 day cycle, I assume that's to be expected. Just interested in anyone else's experiences. Has anyone else got a 32 day cycle? If so, which day do you get the first "high"?
Also, I've noticed that the sticks get a blue line on them once I've weed on them. Normal?

now on day 14. still low. Any thoughts?

Hi sprinkles I used the CBFM sucessfully earlier this year (sadly that pregnancy ended in miscarriage :( and have used it for my first cycle since mc this month). The first two cycles I used it it was 10 days before my first high and my cycle is 30 days. This time it was 15 days.

Everyone's body is different and there is no set pattern to when things 'should' happen. If you don't get any highs or peaks at all over a couple of months and you are sure you are using it right then you may want to see the Dr at that point.

In my opinion it really works. I fell pregnant on the second cycle the first time and am hoping for a similar success this time (fingers crossed!) - then my body just needs to do as good a job as the CBFM!!

My advice is, stick with it. Make sure you test with your first urine in the morning. Follow the instructions and SWI when it tells you to. I hope that helps! Good luck!!!

I'm very good about using FMU and doing it at the same time everyday. I was using cheap OPK sticks from amazon last month, but they never registered anything so I stopped using them... I wonder if I ovulate late in my cycle and I should have kept testing.

The instructions are a bit hard to follow, and I don't think I'm particularly thick! I've been weeing on the stick, putting the cap on, turning the monitor on then clicking the stick in. By the time I check it the machine has turned itself off and I turn it on and remove the stick. Should I be removing the stick first then turning it back on? What do you do? Also, do you know why the instructions say hold it in your wee for 3 seconds if you wee on the stick, or dip it for 15 seconds if you wee in a cup?

We're ttc number 2. DS1 was concieved so easily, first month trying, first cycle off the pill. Bit of a reality check this time round!

Hi sprinkles it sounds to me that you are using it exactly right. That is exactly what I do. I never dip I only wee on the stick for (around) 3 seconds. I don't know why its for that long, i think its just to make sure the stick absorbs enough?

The first cycle it will ask you to poas 20 times, the next cycle(s) it will only be 10 times. You may ovulate later on and this is why it's taking a while. I keep a record of highs and peaks which has been handy this time around and I will keep it for future reference too!

Hello I'm a newbie to the cbfm too, switched it on on day one and set it up, then switched it on everyday until day 17, which is today and its the first day I got a pos symbol? Very strange! Anyway my ferility is high now, after 10 months of ttc, I'm able to spot the signs, so fingers crossed we've not missed it....

mrsb33, your post has made me feel much better! How long is your cycle? 10 months must feel like a very long time, 3 months feels too long for me! Just such a disappointment after it happening so quickly last time! I'd assumed I had no period because my body had packed up cos of the pill for so long! By the time it had occured to me to POAS I had to rush to get a 12 week scan.

My cycle was always 28days pre mmc back in sept last year.
They have varied since 32 30 29 and now 28 so I'm hoping this months a 28 day cycle as I have me 21 day bloods on wednesday.

Weird. Today Day 16. The monitor had just gone straight to peak! No high days at all! Woke dh up and Made poor dh SWI when he was hoping to get a lie in!

Ok. More weird. CD17 today and CBFM said peak again!
