TTC after laparoscopy

Hi,

Three months ago I had a laparoscopy to remove suspected endo. Turned out I didn't have any endo but I did have two blocked tubes which were unblocked during the surgery.

My consultant said my highest chance of conceiving was in the first two months after the operation. I've just had my second period, right on time. I'm feeling so frustrated and wondering how long is has taken other people post-lap to conceive.

Day 21 test was 56 so I'm definitely ovulating.

Any similar stories would be much appreciated.

hi, i was diagnosed with endo at the age of 19. I wasnt TTC at the time or just after. Had a mishap with contraception 11 months and now have a 4yo ds. Also pg with dc2

Has anyone conceived naturally after a laparoscopy?

Yes - I conceived the first cycle after the lap but sadly miscarried early on (the consultant said it was fine to try but my acupuncturist said the uterus probably wasn't ready as I had quite a bit 'done' during the lap, if you know what I mean). Been trying for a few months since but no joy.

I have another friend who also conceived the first cycle after her lap for endo and MC'd early too, so maybe the acupuncturist had a point. However I have read on other threads of women getting 'miracle' BFPs in the first few months after the procedure and all being fine so it definitely can happen, just didn't work out in my case.

Both my DS's have been concieved naturally. Also had an early miscarriage last year.

I conceived DC1 within 2 months of lapo (after 4 yrs of trying) and conceived as soon as we started trying with DC2 2 yrs later. Good luck.
