Hi all, just got a pos HPT 10 DPO on day 22 of a 26 day cycle. I did 2 tests and both came up faint but obvious pos. Both faded away after 20 mins! Looked at instructions and it says a pos should last 48 hrs!!!!! ARGH! Phomed first resp, she said obviously it detectd hormone but shouldn;t fade and maybe pregnancy not ok and will get AF
Anyone any experience of this????????
Thank you!!!!

Quacks - Go get a clearblue digital!!

They are supposed to be inaccurate after few minutes are they not? I had no idea it held the +ve result for 48hrs!

It's too early for a clearblue! I'm about 3-4 days before AF due!
Anyone else had this happen????

most tests say not to read the results after a certain time ie 10 mins, if the line comes up withi that time and is positive it is pretty much have a look at this it should answer any questions hth this

Many thanks! I've had a good look at this sight. There seems to be an ongoing problem with first resp. Dissapearing lines are common and generally indicate a pregnancy failing very early on. This answers all my questions, many thanks!

quacks, it sounds more like a problem with the test than your pg. Go and buy another test and good luck!

Maybe to early to get an strong result, sounds like your pregnant to me. I would test again the day after your period is due to be sure, if you can stand the waiting. Good luck and I hope you get the result you are hoping for.

Hi quacks

i had the same problem with a regilar clearblue test last year - I tested on day period was due and +ive - I was so happy I wrapped the test up and gave it to DH when he came home from work that night - he opened it and it said -ive (he was confused!) Anyway, I was pregnant and exeverything was fine. I now have a very healthy, strapping 11 month old boy - so if it said +ive first I am pretty sure you must be pg. Sending love and best wishes for a good outcome!

I've had a faint positive line from a clear blue when AF was due but it then arrived about 4 days late. This is the problem with the modern sensitive tests unfortunately!
