LH and FSH are two very important hormones as they kickstart the ovulation process. Normally these two hormone levels are tested and compared (comparison is important as these two can look okay only if looked at separately) against each other between days 2-5. Normally these levels are pretty much the same; differences between these two levels can affect ovulation happening.

I'm having blood tests for these on day 21. Is that wrong then?

I'd say yes. You really need them done around day 3 to get a clear picture. I had mine done day 21 with all the others and insisted my GP did them on cd3 cos I was concerned about pcos.
