Hi Everyone, you might have read my first post - basically trying for a baby - and went to the docs as I have not ovulated yet (been on pill and coil for about 15 years - yep I am 44) and the results came back as inconclusive. Docs receptionist said another blood test has to be done in a month. Can anybody shed any light on this. I am at a complete loss with this answer, as I think either my hormones, that is the levels they checked, are OK or no. Please do help me. Many thanks

trouble is, to complete the info I gave you, I did ovulation checks with the sticks you can buy from the internet and all got back negative. Thanks and sorry for bothering you all.

what did the doctor say?
did you get a period 12-16 days later?

You should call back tomorrow and ask to speak to the doctor so he/she can explain to you exactly what it means. they want to keep testing to see differences from one cycle to next. I'm assuming this was the day 2/3 tests? do you have regular periods? It's not unusual to have an unovulatory cycle every now and then.

Loads of people have trouble with OPKs. Temping helps, as it would show changes in your body temperature, which confirms ovulation. You can find loads of info on www.fertilityfriend.com or just ask me. Happily help

They usually suggest checking up to 3 times because most women have a couple of anovulatory cycles in a year. My results were low initially but my GP didn't get a full picture until I had 3 cycles' bloods. But scrummybumb is right, talk to your GP and try not to panic!
