So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

OP posts:
awaywego1 · 12/06/2011 19:08

Can i join?-long time lurker- i feel like i am actually going mad!
Af due yesterday, no sign, bfn today (using 10 miu hpt) :(
I've had lots of symptoms for the last 10 days, immense bloating, nausea, big boobies -tho they dont hurt, hungry all the time, wet feeling tho no visible cm, intermittent mild cramps. I don't chart or owt tho cervix seems very high and hard. Today i'm feeling really emotional, whats making it harder is that i cant tell anyone not ttc as such. I just want to know either way. Now i just think that me stressing and symptom watching and wanting to be preggers is keeping AF away, i'm normally standard 28 days. But trying to make yourself relax is the hardest thing ever!
Much luck to everyone else waiting x

havealittlefaithbaby · 12/06/2011 19:36

My skin is very itchy too! My face looks like it's peeling!! Clearly we are in sync for our bfps!
Hello to awaywego1, welcome to thread. Excellent symptom spotting so far. What cycle day are you on atm?
(Must just confess I'm delighted I started a thread that's caught on!!)

awaywego1 · 12/06/2011 19:44

Hi havealittle-great thread :) i'm cd29. i've just been crying at waterloo road on iplayer..if that isn't a sign of something then i dont know what is. ha.

havealittlefaithbaby · 12/06/2011 20:25

Stressing at the latter end of your cycle does not delay af, that's an urban myth! However, stress/illness around ovulation can delay that hence the late cycle. Could that be the case with you? Are you tempted to poas?
Thanks for the compliment re the thread, was basically 5dpo wondering if is cracked it that month and asked if u was in good company! Oh the wait is agony....
Might follow pgs example and have a scalding hot bath!

awaywego1 · 12/06/2011 20:40

thanks for your reply havealittle! I am definately doing to be poas again tommorow if af doesn't show..i dont think i was partic stressed or ill in first 2 weeks of cycle..tho its possible that i started obsessively symptom spotting around ovulation!- time will tell i guess!
How about you? Are you still holding out poas?

NinjaChipmunk · 12/06/2011 20:53

blimey, you lot have been busy today! we have spent a rainy day in london as mil came down (she has some conference or other tomorrow). Went to dinosaurs unleashed at the 02. Not massively impressed, the natural history museum is much better and free. But we did go from the london eye up to the 02 by boat which was very nice. Now MIL gone to her hotel to meet her colleagues, we're back home, ds is in bed and dp is cooking steak for dinner. Could be worse!
No point symptom spotting as only on cd5!

Hello to away and at everyone.

PatientGriselda · 12/06/2011 23:08

Hello away and welcome! Brilliant symptom collection - i'm envious. How long have you been trying? I am quite flattered that we were considered worth lurking on!

Not really a day for being out and about, ninja. Are you very soggy or have you dried out now?

PatientGriselda · 12/06/2011 23:10

PS I have made it to the end of CD49 without blood! Fingers crossed for day 50 tomorrow.

havealittlefaithbaby · 13/06/2011 06:14

Morning all! Any news? My temp is still high so evil.witch won't be arriving today I'm sure.

PatientGriselda · 13/06/2011 07:42

No news here. Lying in bed, desperate for a wee but arguing frantically with myself about whether to use it to POAS.

havealittlefaithbaby · 13/06/2011 08:21

I think since you're cd50 maybe you.should just poas!

PatientGriselda · 13/06/2011 09:46

Hee. I was strong, and didn't. I only have one stick, so will do it with FMU tomorrow.

I just came close to crying over a cup of coffee. PMT? Surely not. Pregnancy hormones? Well why the heck not? :)

PatientGriselda · 13/06/2011 10:02

Does anyone else have serious insanity about going to the loo? The first nervous glance in the knickers, the solemn pause before checking the loo paper for traces of blood?

awaywego1 · 13/06/2011 11:29

Well bfn for me, no af. Feeling very sad today..boo and am now putting late af down to being on prednisolone last month..so have given up really. :(

Patient-i can't believe you are so strong not to poas! and yes constant knicker checking is a pain.
To answer your question briefly without going into the complex dysfunction of it all-i'm not really ttc, were kinda not trying not preventing, DP is unwilling and the relationship isn't amazing tbh..but i really want a baby Blush I think what this month has made me realise tho is that i really need to get out of the relationship and look at other options as i'm not prepared to not be a mum for this relationship..its just hard!
havealittle-good news on the temps..fingers crossed!

PatientGriselda · 13/06/2011 12:01

Ow, away, that sounds complicated. How do you think you might tackle it?

CLS101 · 13/06/2011 12:36

Hi, Im new here!

I'm 23 days late (I think, i've never been on the dot regular)

3 tests, 2 last Monday and 1 yesterday, all neg?. I used First Response then saw bad reviews so bought 1 clear blue. So the test yesterday was also First Response.

Been very tired, under the weather, more aware of my boobs, can't wear one of my favourite shirts as the button doesn't do up properly now but they are not sore, craving for steak (ate it 3 times last week but tried to have had it more), light headed. Various little other things but im not sure if im looking for symptoms?

Do you guys think its worth buying another Clear Blue and testing again now or wait another wek? Or what else do you suggest I do?

NinjaChipmunk · 13/06/2011 12:52

Hi cls101 wow, 23 days late is impressive! Personally I think you should get yourself to the docs for a pregnancy blood test to see what the results of that are. And if thats a bfn they need to look into why you are so late. What are your cycles normally like?

Sorry to hear that away, sounds complicated and stressy.

pg of course they are pregnancy hormones love, what else would they be? Grin I'm amazed you didn't poas to be honest!

Hi to everyone else. Well af has gone so the shagging marathon starts tonight! Wish me luck, I think i'll need it!

CLS101 · 13/06/2011 13:33

NinjaChipmunk: Just booked the doctors for next Friday (the closest I could get for a 'before work' app. Bitch Manager doesn't like doctors to be during work time and if it is she likes to see letter and reason why etc.

At least that way its gives it another 11 days to appear!!!

PatientGriselda · 13/06/2011 13:33

Good luck, ninja, sweetie. I'll cross my fingers and you'll uncross your legs and you will definitely be duffed by morning. Are you feeling fruitily fertile?

Hi CLS. I agree with ninja that, depending how irregular you usually are, you might pop in to the doctor and see what they think. It's tricky when you're irregular, I know, as you're never really sure how excited you can get about "lateness" (see my sanguinity about being on CD50!).

CLS101 · 13/06/2011 13:36

It was my birthday last month and I in April when I got my period I remember thinking that its bound to come directly on my birthday party or just before, so that should have been 21st May as I'm usually 28-29 day cycle.

CLS101 · 13/06/2011 13:38

Ha PatientGriselda just looked up the thread to see your previous posts, not good when your eating lunch!

I'm joking, it type of stuff doesn't affect me :)

havealittlefaithbaby · 13/06/2011 13:49

Hi all, yes frantic knicker checking has commenced with a vengeance now futility fiend says af is due. Blatantly not coming today since temp is still up. Hey the charters think my chart looks 'promising!' Smile. Still unwilling to get too excited cos of the disappointment of two cycles ago (17 high temps then it said I hadn't ovulated).
Hello to CSL! You are very welxm If you.wanna

Hello to CSL! You are very welcome. If you.wanna hang out here though you've gotta get used to Tmi, I was talking about blue vomit the other week!
away sounds like this situation has clarified things for you! Sounds like you deserve better but I agree you're wise to get yourself checked out.
