Are very faint grey/shadowy lines ALWAYS evaporation lines? I got my hopes up so much this time, feel so crushed that that is what I got this morning

Just to add, evap line appeared within the 5minutes reading time, and it's one of those one step ultra 10mIU strips.

I'm not an expert, but a line within the reading time is a line, isn't it? And the whole "grey line is evap line" thing is something the internets came up with and only became canon lore through much repeating on the interweb. It's not an actual definite true thing (I've had a pink evap line!). The explanation of "grey line = evap line" is used to explain circumstances where a woman gets a BFN and then fishes the test out of her bin a month later, sees a grey line and starts screaming "I'M PREGNANT!!" and of course, she isn't.

I would be counting a line within the test time as a tentative BFP and running out to spend hundreds on First Responses. Can you post a pic? (Second time in as many days I've asked this...please, please do show me your urine soaked bits of plastic, thanks).

I tried taking pics of it but they really weren't coming out, they would have been too pixellated for anyone to even see the line if I posted it on here (but OH has confirmed I'm definitely not seeing things). It was light grey/very faint and if this makes sense the left side of it looked as though it had a darker outline to it where as it got a lot fainter to the right.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, seeing this line really has thrown me as all of yesterday I was getting more and more convinced.

Ok FR confirmed it's a BFP this morning Which, as you said, guess shows that faint grey/shadowy lines aren't necessarily defacto evaporation lines as the internet keeps on insisting.
