Signs you're TTC but haven't told anyone in RL...

• You spend every spare minute on MN and have it bookmarked on your phone...

• You spend every other spare minute on baby name forums; asking people what their brother/sister/cat is called; barking "What's she called him!" before someone finishes the sentence, "So-and-so's had her bab..."

• You are magnetically drawn to the woman at work bringing in her baby, then catch yourself staring and mumble, "Well, lots to do, see ya later..." and sprint off!

• Every glass of wine is accompanied with "Huh, not even fertile today" or "huh, well TOTM" or "Huh, loads of women are bladdered without even finding out til 12 weeks" or in darker times, "Huh, probabaly will NEVER happen! It's SO UNFAIR!!!!!!!"

• Holding back tears when the 2349276th person tells you they are pg but weren't trying/ it was an accident!

• Every second person on the street is pg/pushing a baby!

• You know more about prams/ BFing/ behaviour than most mums of 7- you can't discuss it with anyone so just read, read, read!

• You start a thread called "Signs you're TTC but haven't told anyone in RL..." so that others will say, yeah I do that you're not mad and add more things to the list.......!

I'm more - Told people in RL, on cycle 3 and nothing has happened and so now am telling people we've stopped/postponed trying. Hard. Feel I've jinxed it by saying!

Wish people in rl didn't know! Hate the sympathetic looks and the never mind it will happen soon remarks!!!and the worst of all, just relax!!!!! Aaaaahhhhhhh

Ha, no way can I tell anyone, spent the best part of 8 years answering, Ooooooh no, not yet!!! And that's been bad enough!!

I'm all the above as well as stating vehemently that I have no interest in having children every time someone at work comments on how 'you're next!' - I bloody wish!!

Do slip now and again and tell friends who are new mums some bit of info picked up from my incessent reading browsing, they look at me shocked that I could possibly know something useful about babies.

Ha, my line is, OOooooooh noooooo, I love me sleep too much!! Can't be doing with all that!! Too selfish!!! Love me holidays!!! Ad infinitum til the person probably can't remember what started the conversation in the first place!

-taking folic acid while staying at your Dad's house when toured having house rewired coming up with a lame "my GP suggested it" excuse.
-saying you're skint on work nights out cos you don't want to get bladdered just in case!
(Initially we didn't tell anyone then after a few months we told loads of people. It's been so long now-17 months- people have stopped asking now!).

Folic Acid!! I daren't!!! Anything extra I do I convince myself it's jinxing it! May look into it tho....sigh!

I go with the 'I spend all day with kids, why would I want one at home too?', also use the holidays and selfish lines as back up. :)

I have packets of folic acid all over the house (was on buy 3 for 2 and as you are supposed to take it till 12 weeks thought I would def be using it all!)

Have to ensure all well hidden when the door bell rings, along with the ov sticks and pg tests in the bathroom - if I take a while answering the door, you now know why!

I have also 'gone off' alcohol using a diet as my excuse :(

Hahaha could be me! I would add:

Telling people I'm on antibiotics so can't drink, or I'm happy being the driver!

Finding myself in the maternity section of clothes shops, staring longingly at clothes with space for a bump.

I like some of your no children excuses, colleague brought a new baby in last week and another colleague caught me gazing longingly at the baby! OOPs!

Also find myself putting off some future plans with my DH by saying "we could be pg by then".
