Clear pink line, but in a weird place ...

I should know better by now. TTC for 3 years, 4 mcs and numerous odd cycles.

Yesterday my DH and I worked out my AF has been MIA for a while now (I've given up actively TTC and have wilfully not written down the start or finish dates of AF for ages) so this morning I POAS.

I used an internet cheapie and there's a strong pink control line, and another strong pink line, which appeared within the time limit but isn't quite as neat as the control line, but it's in a weird place. It's sort of just under the strip which marks how deep you should dip it to.

Does the place you get a BFP move about a bit on the cheapie sticks? I've got an old peed on stick from the same batch which I've compared it to and it is a slightly different size and the control line is in a slightly different place. This second line is the strongest 'BFP' line I've ever had.

I peed on about two hundred gajillion internet cheapies when I got my BFP. You can sometimes get a darker area just where the dippy part meets the wick part, IYSWIM. Can you post a pic?

I'm about to put a pick on my profile. It is so clear, and so pink. Just so in the wrong place.

I know I have to POAS again but for a false hope raiser, tis pretty impressive.

Also have a CB digi but I've been trying so long it's now out of date .

No Ive had that before, sorry its not a BFP to me. But see where the line should be - is there anything there at all because I thought I could see a faint line, maybe its just my computer?

duck - I can't see anything else on the stick. Not a sausage.

And it's so unlikely I am up the pole, I think I'd have a small attack of the vapours if it actually was a bfp.

I wonder what causes that line to come there. I've not had it before. I wonder if it's the stuff the put in to make the control line or something else. Anyone know?

I had amazon cheapies and was getting excited about a pink strip under the dunk line but was a neg - someone else suggested it is where the dye gathers on the glue they stick them together with.

Wow. That is an actual fake BFP line. The bastards. It really looks like one! But very much in wrong place.

Hey Daisy'. Yes it's in quite a weird place, but could be a line, maybe the machine was off in the factory where it was made. I'd do another just to be sure...

Well. I POanotherS this morning and it's a bit difficult to tell tbh.

There is a very faint line in the right place this morning but it's not like the one in the pic. Nowhere near as clear. In fact, I think I might have willed my eyes to see a line.

I think I am with Harderto. They are bastards. Who have actually made a fake BFP for me.

Could it be another 'you get what you pay for' lesson?

So you don't think the out of date digital test I have in the bathroom will cut the mustard?

There's no way on earth I can be pg. I have already decided that it's impossible for me to conceive. TTC for 3 years kinda does that to you. I am sure AF will start any day - but I'll keep you updated, just in case.

Daisy - PO the out of date test, you know you want to! Either way you can alway back up the result with a real test later in the week.

The first positive test after waiting so long can seem impossible!
