Cheapie Ovulation Stick Querie

OK, so this month i'm going for finding out when exactly i'm ovulating so got some of the cheapie lil stick things off ebay. Read all the information about what to do etc. However, how important is it that you actually let your wee come to room temperature before you stick the stick in?! I mean i don't have time to stand around for half an hour for that to cool down if i'm at work! Can it really affect the result that much?! Surely if the hormone is in there what temperature wee is won't make a difference?! lol

Always used Internet cheapies and never waited for wee to come to room temp, just weed in a pot then dipped the strip in for about 20 secs, never had a problem. Good luck

i never waited for room temp either. I used newmark chemist near my house - they do 5 sticks for £5, may be cheaper than internet?

sunnyday - I have just bought 30 ov sticks plus 10 pg tests for about £5.50 on the internet so vm cheap - have yet to find out if they work, though!

I used Amazon - no probs and got 3 days +ve which was bang on the time I thought it should be so I trust them. The line never quite reached the darkness of the test line but I had no line for the rest of the month so pretty sure that indicated the surge. Did wait for 'room temp' when I started but gave up on that! Good luck x

Just a word of warning I found these a nightmare and never got a positive. Since then I've had a bfp so think.I was probably ovulating. All they did was stress me out.

I buy these all the time on Ebay, and test twice a day for accuracy, Ive never let it come to room temp either. I find them accurate as I temp as well. You are meant to get the line as dark as the control line for a true positive - my line is dark but not "quite" as dark on the day Im taking as positive because its very faint all the other days . Your LH surge can be difficult to detect so this is why I take this as a positive, and it seems to match up with my temp changes on my chart.

Just to add I used fertility friend to chart too and it says I ovulated the same time as the sticks said I did :)

Ah thanks guys. Well I kinda have a rough idea when just want to double check n make sure I'm gettin me dates right. They haven't been a problem so far just one line negatives. But today got the second line but still a negative cos it was significantly fainter. So it looks like it's getting somewhere
