FWIW dachs I didn't get any symptoms til around 6 weeks with this one.

Velvetcu · 15/08/2011 18:41

Arrgghh yrmotb can't believe you're at 20 weeks already! Everyone else's pgs seem to be going sooo quickly. Very glad you managed to find your a's too Smile

Tut tut dachs for poas, have still got everything crossed for your embies!

mousebacon · 15/08/2011 22:24

Can anyone tell me whether I should take asprin now or do I wait for BFP?

No one said 'take asprin' BTW but the last doc I saw said 'well, it won't do any harm' so I wanted to take it.

What do you think?

Freezingmyarseoff · 15/08/2011 22:42

Hey everyone
Sorry I've been lurking but not posting.

YRMOTB Grin at the keyboard issues. I quite liked it actually. Can't believe we're almost halfway there. How did that happen? All the best for scan on Friday, but I'll post again before then anyway.

I'm thinking a bit of fish slappage is required this week, but hey it wouldn't be the common room without some of that every now and again. POAS early is expected round here

MummyA I'm so glad you think you've found your OB. That must be quite a relief.

Sorry Tina and Mouse I can't begin to help you with your charts but fingers crossed it's all leading to something positive

LadyBee sorry if I'm repeating myself, I can't remember what I've read and what I've typed. But just to say I'm glad you've talked to your GP and now have a referral to RMC clinic. I'm liking your proactive approach. I hope they can help you.

Waves to Collie I do plan to pop in to the grads a bit more often after scan - fingers crossed.

Camping planning has gone well, a brand new bell tent turned up this morning Grin - tomorrow's task is for DD and I to put it up in the garden, although I don't think I can actually lift it, so that's going to scupper plans pretty quickly methinks. I'm not doing any heroics.

Sorry this is a rubbish catch-up because I haven't been able to name check everyone but waves to Digi, Velvet, spilt, Battery, AandR, Falcon and the holiday peeps Izzy, Tomboy and anyone else

digitalgirl · 15/08/2011 22:59

mouse my nhs epu recommended from bfp. Mr S recommends to take it from starting ttc but then he's very proactive and prescribes all sorts. My last pg i took it from 10dpo and it progressed well right up to when it stopped. I took it this time from 9dpo (although didn't test till 12dpo, so restrained).

mousebacon · 15/08/2011 23:28

Thank you! Might take one just to be on the safe side

MissTinaTeaspoon · 16/08/2011 08:55

Good morning

yrmotb, reading your post with no a's was quite fun, sort of like code breaking! Good luck with the scan, those 20 weeks have flown by!

freezing I am so jealous Envy of your bell tent...let us know how putting it up goes!

Fishes on the way to loup and dachs!

mouse I was given similar advice re. aspirin at my fertility appointment - he said that the research is mixed but that it wouldn't do any harm. I'm not sure what to do to be honest - I want to feel like I'm doing everything possible to prevent another mc though, and my friend took it with her next pg on the advice of an ob, and she's got a gorgeous 6 mo now, which may sway things for me! She started taking it with her bfp I believe.

I'm starting to become very aware that it's my dd 2 weeks today...I keep thinking that I should have been having a section next Tuesday Sad. I'm really feeling the pressure now, and if I'm not successful this month I'm worried of how hard I'll take it tbh. On the plus side though, I had a proper temp rise this morning so at least that makes sense!

Waves to everyone x

spilttheteaagain · 16/08/2011 09:16

mouse I'm fine thanks, working on Operation Get This Baby Out (39+3 and she's a bit too comfy!)

I asked my consultant about aspirin and also got the "won't do any harm" response, but as he pointed out, since I had tested negative for inherited and acquired thrombophilias there was also no reason to suppose it would help. I thought about it and decided against taking it, based in the end on a completely unscientific gut feeling. Very hard to know what's best. Fingers crossed this is your month.

Loup23 · 16/08/2011 10:05

Good luck spilt nearly there!

Yay for temp rise tina - so you're officially on the 2ww now? Everything crossed for that BFP, really hard coming round to the dd - mine isn't until early November but we have a wedding next month and in my mind i'd always pictured being there pg etc, big hug for that difficult date but hoping a BFP will ease the pain.....

Great re the tent freezing when are you off and where are you off to?

mouse i'm glad you asked re aspirin - I have some lined up in the cupboard (which is bursting with all the potions I've purchased... Blush) I'm taking pregnacare and B6 at the moment and wondered whether to take aspirin, if I do get that BFP I'm so worried about m/c again i'll probably take anything... Confused

I've managed to stay away from the sticks again today, am trying to stay positive, hold on until the weekend and pray that AF stays away.... This 2ww is exhausting - dachs mouse are you avoiding the sticks? [grins]

mousebacon · 16/08/2011 12:50

I'm 7dpo today and have been having a few cramps so trying to keep positive I'm hoping I can abstain from the sticks till at least 14dpo but I do have a few Internet cheapies in the drawer!

spilt I can't believe you're full term; how amazing! Good luck with everything Smile

x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 16/08/2011 13:02

loup Sticks? What sticks?

mouse Hmmm... Cramps at 7dpo. Promising - v promising! Will keep my FX for you :)

ZamMummyInGabs · 16/08/2011 13:26

Another one on the 2ww here!
2dpo today but not at all hopeful as DH went away Sat and what with hangovers, headaches and general rubbishness only managed to SWI once Blush Hmm
He's in Freetown and being v cagey about what it's like other than sweaty and a bit mental Grin so still no idea if we'll be going or not. I know it will be exciting but not sure how much excitement is too much IYSWIM. Fatalistically I'm presuming that I won't get/stay PG until the decision is made one way or the other, which is probably for the best, but won't stop me frantically needing a good haddocking this cycle followed by CD1 blues.
Have got prescription for Clexane just in case Grin
mouse I take aspirin every day as am FV Leiden / poss sticky blood - recommended while TTC by gynae. Was on it previously for neurological stuff but had stopped while TTC - unlikely to be connected to the MC & CP as didn't take anything for DS's but Hmm. Feel it's more psychological than anything else at TTC stage, but who cares, the placebo effect is a mysterious & powerful thing Grin

OP posts:
mousebacon · 16/08/2011 13:35

Thinking of you dachs I really hope you get your BFP Smile

mousebacon · 16/08/2011 13:37

digitalgirl · 16/08/2011 13:53

Halfway there mouse doing so well!

is that an internet cheapie in your top pocket? Willing those embies to nestle in and grow.

spilt can't believe how time has flown. Good luck with the big push.

Fingers crossed for zam, loup and tina

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 16/08/2011 14:17

no digi - it's an FRER or a CBD Wink

MummyAbroad · 16/08/2011 14:40

split congrats on making it to the finish line! best of luck with Operations Get This Baby Out Grin

MissTinaTeaspoon · 16/08/2011 14:44

Lots of us on the 2ww then! I'll be going to Sainsburys when dd wakes up, I'll go and stock up at the fish counter shall I? With an extra special large one just for dachs Grin

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 16/08/2011 14:47

No point me testing anyway, so the fish aren't actually required. I know it hasn't worked this time. Which is fairly depressing as it means the twins' due date will be extra specially hard.
