Hoping to continue the trend of the lucky thread....

OP posts:
DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 09/08/2011 09:25

only 3 of the eggs were mature. All of them fertilised, but the odds aren't great given that historically i've only had two viable embryos from 9 fertilised eggs. There is still a small chance though. if there are any left they'll be going back on in Thursday at 10.30

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 09/08/2011 09:25

tina good luck with the appointment. :)

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 10:43

Typed a post on the train and lost it Angry!

Good luck today tina you're probably in your appointment now, let us know how you got on....

Fx there are some good viable eggs on Thursday Dachs, if all three are good do they put them all in? Really hope it's good news for you.

I got two Blush positive OPKs yesterday afternoon and evening but still only a high on the cbfm today so am assuming my surge (if it occurred) was short lived but have always got peaks before these last two months, cbfm not working for me at the moment, so throwing machines to the side and going with traditional method of brazenly SWI and keeping fx crossed....

Waves to zam battery mummya* digi tomboy mousebacon* and all others that i've no doubt forgotten x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 09/08/2011 11:06

loup if you're under 40 you can legally only have two put back in. If they are top quality I promised my obstetrician we'd only put one back in. If they're lower quality I'll have two. But i don't think there'll be more than one left anyway! :)

Enjoy the SWI Wink

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 11:51

Well dachs i really hope there are two (or all three) of top quality - keeping everything crossed for you!

Poor DH doesn't know what's hit him this month, thought I'd Od on CD17 and now again on 21 so it's been lots of SWI to cover all bases Grin

MissTinaTeaspoon · 09/08/2011 12:20

Stupid computer! Just wrote loads and Chrome crashed! ARRR!

Anyway, I'm back. And feeling a bit mixed about it all. Dh's sperm are better than ever (they improve every time Grin, I've got 5 follicles on each side ready to pop, and my lining is 5mm which they said is fine for day 9. The consultant basically said to go away, keep trying and come back in 6 months though! He said that he could do a hycosy if I wanted but as I've been pregnant this year my tubes are probably fine so to wait until then. I just feel so frustrated, I can see where he's coming from but I'm sick of waiting and seeing! I talked it through with dh, he says that if I want the scan to book it but he's happy to wait, so I might give it 3 more cycles and see how I feel then. He was all for walking me home and making the most of an empty house but I persuaded him to allow himself some time to restock Wink.

I'm feeling generally emotional today, they were talking about the Croydon furniture shop built up by several generations of the same family being destroyed by senseless thugs on the TV in the waiting room and I felt like crying for those poor people Sad

Waves to loup and dachs (fx those embryos are doing some lovely growing)

Loup23 · 09/08/2011 13:14

Good news re DH swimmers tina Grin at making him restock - I think my DH is running empty after confusing OPKs! I know how you feel re the "wait and see" my consultant said the same but then every month another month goes by and it's so frustrating. I think it's a good idea to give yourself a semi-deadline (I have until the end of the year) before maybe taking some further steps...... Which day are you on at the moment?

Freezingmyarseoff · 09/08/2011 16:07

Dachs fingers crossed for those 3 eggs.

yay to Tomboy and AF but just this once mind. Hope you are having a lovely holiday

Tina it all sounds quite positive if not a little frustrating which I totally understand. It's so hard to get the balance between taking some control and being as proactive as possible and relaxing and trying to go with the flow abit. We've all been there one way or another. At the weekend we were doing some mountain biking near Cardiff, and then stayed one night in Cardiff for DH's canoeing. Was fun and we managed to miss most of the rain but boy was I tired yesterday.

lovely to hear from you Zam, very much hope this is your month. The move to SL sounds very exciting but I can totally understand your concerns re pregnancy and health care

Digital how are you feeling? I do think that the first weeks are the hardest but even so another Grin for you.

AandR as Digi says, tears can be good. They do clear the system apparently. You sound so busy but I'm slightly Envy of your cycling and time to reflect on things on your own (in between dodging traffic I'm sure). I think you are right to focus on your house for now. I probably said this before, but having done a big house extension last year, I look back and wonder how I ever could have done it pregnant. We were TTC but TBH we didn't try very hard because we were so caught up in sorting out the house and exhausted most days from all that decision making and dealing with builders.

Mouse sorry about the BFN, is there any chance you just tested too early or are you convinced it really is a BFN?

MummyA how is the driving going? DD will be 3. I think we've decided to do a small tea party as all of her friends (well my friends kids) are having a joint party together to save on 6 parties in the space of 3 weeks. I'm trying to work how I can make a really cool cake. Peppa Pig is quite popular so off to google for some ideas. The train cake sounds cool though.

Battery I think you ov'd. When is your next appt with Dr S, must be quite soon if I remember correctly

Collie keep up the non lurking, it's lovely having you around.

Loup enjoy the confusing opks Wink

Ladybee sorry about the BFN this month. I hope this doesn't sound dismissive or insensitive but you have been through a lot recently - moving half way round the world and that surely is going to have an impact on TTC. I would see it as your body just protecting itself until you really are ready physiologically, even if you feel ready psychologically IYSWIM. But just ignore me if that's an unhelpful take on things.

YRMOTB how are you doing my lovely? depending on which list I look at we are "twins" or near enough.

We have our 20 week scan coming up next week. I"m trying not to think about it too much as it's more than 7 days away but after hearing Lily06 news on the freak out room, I can't help but worry a little bit. I'm trying to occupy myself with planning a camping trip Grin

Waves to falcon, velvet, Izzy, BBB, Jolls (just in case you are still lurking), and all the lovely lurking grads

mousebacon · 09/08/2011 21:11

Dachs I really hope you get 3 amazingly brilliant, top quality eggs xx

Tina pleased your ap went well Smile

Loup good luck with DH!

Freezing I have come to the conclusion that my crappy body attempted ov a couple of weeks ago, then, in league with my crappy thermometer had me believe the deed was done. However, today I have had ewcm and a +opk so I'm right back at the beginning again! On the plus side it means I haven't missed my chance. DH says he doesn't feel well. I say tough luck to that!

Fingers crossed pleased!

Love to all xx

Loup23 · 10/08/2011 08:45

Good luck mouse everything crossed Grin I finally got a peak today so hope all the swi has been worth it, must not stop Blush!

Good luck for dachs tomorrow x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 10/08/2011 10:43

Thanks guys! :) No call from the clinic so far today, so I'm hoping that means all three embies are hanging in there and there will be something to put back tomorrow. If they were doing badly today they were supposed to call me to bring me in today instead of tomorrow, so FX they're all still ok.

loup Yay for the peak. Enjoy the marathon SWI sessions Wink

Freezingmyarseoff · 10/08/2011 10:47

Oh that sounds good Dachs, really hope so.

digitalgirl · 10/08/2011 11:44

oh that does sound hopeful dachs.

mouse well, a positive opk is better than a negative hpt - have fun Wink

You too loup

tina glad to hear you're passing tests with flying colours, does look like it is just a matter of time for you.

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 11/08/2011 09:23

Ok. Two embies left - one is grade 1+ (same as the twins) and one is slightly worse (grade 2+). Worse embie not good enough quality to freeze. Now have dilemma - put both back or just the good'un? Thrilled to have at least one good one but wish there was either one or three, and that the embie was freezable.

Loup23 · 11/08/2011 11:42

dachs that's such a hard decision, thrilled to hear that there is a grade 1 embie though. Keeping everything crossed it's a sticky one.

Temp rise for me today so think I finally ovulated and am once again on the dreaded 2ww which ends the day before we go on holiday..... Failing in Trying not to get hopes up already.

How's everyone else doing? x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 11/08/2011 12:35

Am now carrying two embies, so I guess I'm on the 2ww again!

Will post more when I get home.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 11/08/2011 14:17

Dachs and Loup good luck over the next two weeks, I'm keeping everything crossed! Dachs do you have to do a hpt or do they do bloods at the clinic?

Did you have a good evening mouse? Wink

Good luck with the 20 week scan freezing, and remember that the odds are on your side that everything is absolutely fine.

I've woken up from my nightshift with really sore eyes, which means no contact lenses allowed :(, I hate wearing glasses! My GP doesn't do afternoon surgery on a Thursday (obviously people aren't allowed to be ill on a Thursday Hmm), the opticians can't fit me in so I either have to wait until tomorrow, go to the minor injuries unit and wait there all afternoon or hope that it's just a run of the mill infection and get something over the counter. Decisions, decisions!

Loup23 · 11/08/2011 14:47

Good luck dachs everything crossed for nice sticky embies - when/how will you find out if it is successful?

Sorry to hear about the sore eyes tina what a pain re dr... hope you get something sorted.

Mouse are you now on the 2ww again? Fx if you are!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 11/08/2011 15:30

Tina sorry about the sore eyes - hope you feel better soon. Can I recommend laser surgery rather than glasses or contacts? It's fab!

loup I find out in 2 weeks. If I can wait that long! :) Standard 2ww now

MissTinaTeaspoon · 11/08/2011 16:52

I went to the minor injures unit in the end because I thought as a contacts user it's better to be safe, he gave me some antibiotic drops. I've considered laser surgery dachs but my friend put me off when she said you can smell the burning!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 11/08/2011 18:00

You can but it sounds way worse than it is. And it's amazing - I was blind as a bat for years and not having to wear glasses any more makes such an amazing difference to my life :)

Glad you have some drops

Freezingmyarseoff · 11/08/2011 20:51

Dachs that's great news you have 2 embies, they are sticky I'm sure of it. We're very good at hand-holding on the 2WW so you're in the right place.
You're not selling the laser surgery very well I have to say.

Tina glad you managed to sort something out

Sounds like lots of people on 2WW right now Loup, Mouse

It's been quiet in the past few days, hope everyone is alright.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 12/08/2011 07:44

Fertility Friend help needed...I've had a few slightly higher temps over the last few days (chart Ovulation Chart here and it's telling me I ov'd on Tuesday, which I know isn't the case because I had a scan on Tuesday and the follicles on it weren't ready yet. (and thank goodness I did otherwise I'd be even more confused!) Confused

Waves to everyone Smile

MissTinaTeaspoon · 12/08/2011 07:45

I'll try that link again, that didn't work! Chart [[My Ovulation Chart
