For Digi

Will catch up properly when we get home tom or Mon. So glad I checked!

Good news from dachs too Smile

CollieandPup · 06/08/2011 18:11

WHOOP! dachs that's sounding like a good start. Here's hoping the 'more fertile post mc' theory stands true for you too! Good luck for Monday!

TomboyWife · 06/08/2011 19:16

Right, talked to the mechanic and, I think, smoothed things over a little bit. This is a big fat mess of he-said-she-said and misunderstandings. I paid him some of what he was asking, but only promised to try to pay more before the job's done. Fair enough, I think, given that he maintains he only promised to try to meet our completion date.

DH is absolutely devastated by all this, and we've been taking it out on each other all day. That plane can't come soon enough; we really need to be officially on holiday. Sad

MummyAbroad · 06/08/2011 21:17

dach thats great news that there has been a spurt of follie growth, Smile sounds like you are doing a fantastic job of keeping your cool through the whole nerve wracking process too.

more Grin Grin Grin for updiffeddigi

mousebacon · 06/08/2011 22:10

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

That's brilliant digi I'm so thrilled for you! How many DPO are you

Also very pleased for you dachs still keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome for youu Smile

Would love to also be the bearer of good news but feel distinctly un-pregnant at 11dpo apart from v mild cramps so not holding out much hope at the mo...

My replacement thermometer hasn't arrived yet so still using the ear thingy/old thermometer combo. Not fun at 6.30 in the morning!

Waves to all - especially all the old faces that delurked for digi - ooh, we could have t-shirts with that on! 'I delurked for digi' Smile

AandRMum · 07/08/2011 06:47

Dachs I think your follies just like making last minute comebacks - they obviously have a touch of the dramatic about them! All fx for Monday.

LadyB I am very proud of your positive outlook! Be kind to yourself - it is such a big thing you are doing moving to another country - wibbles and wobbles are to be expected!

tomboy I am really impressed with how you have handled the whole mechanic situation. You are completely right in your approach but I'm
not sure if I would have had the ability not to just yell and scream at him!!

I am ok over here - I have been crying oceans of tears recently - generally on my ride home from work. I think they are good tears though. I have had to hold so many things together over the last year and haven't really let myself cry properly. Obviously it is time to let all of that out. I have decided that I need to give birth to a house before I can give birth to a baby - I am not taking any proactive steps to stop conceiving but am trying mentally to let go for the moment.

mousebacon · 07/08/2011 08:56

Morning!

BFN this morning, not even a whisper of a line but I just couldn't resist testing!

Ear thermometer read 37.2 this morning but old thermometer said 36.20 - how can it be a whole degree different?!!!

Nice t shirt aandr Grin

randomimposter · 07/08/2011 09:32

digi am so delighted for you - I know it's early days and can imagine how all over the place you must be, but today you are pregnant. WHOOP!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 07/08/2011 09:45

Morning! Just a quick one, taking dd to the cinema (rain ruined our original plan of a local agricultural show Angry)

Boo to bfn mouse. Our ear thermometer and my bbt one usually tally so I would go with the ear reading and chuck the other one!

Still GrinGrinGrin for digi and her bfp and dachs and her BIG FAT follicles GrinGrinGrin

Waves to everyone, lurkers you're all looking fab in your tshirts! Grin

MissTinaTeaspoon · 07/08/2011 09:51

Oops, posted too soon...I meant to add my news! I took epo for a few days just to see what would happen. Big mistake, I should have learnt my lesson the last time! I had fresh spotting when I thought af had finished and I've now got a giant spot on my chin. It really does not agree with me! And now I'm in a panic that I've messed up my hormones and won't ovulate this month Sad. The last time i took it was when i was having 3 week cycles. Tell me I'm being daft someone and slap me!

TomboyWife · 07/08/2011 10:18

Glad to be of service. Grin Who wants next go with the kipper?

digitalgirl · 07/08/2011 20:09

Thanks for all the good wishes lurkers - it means a lot to know there are people rooting for me.

mouse clearly you test sticks are as faulty as your bbt thermometer. I hope it's just too early.

teaspoon my acupuncturist said epo is great for dealing with pmt - but not something that would help with fertility. I reckon if they've made you spot post af then prob best to ditch them. And I wouldn't worry about delaying ov - if you tend to have short cycles then it sounds as though your body is good at righting itself fairly quickly. How's your luteal phase?

aandr happy tears are good. It really is good to have a release. After all you've been through too. I think focussing on the house now is a great project. It's productive, your efforts are rewarded with results and its completely within your control. And if all else fails you can chuck money at it. It's everything ttc is not.

Feeling fairly relaxed at the moment. But then I've done this bit before. Just hoping to stay this way for as long as possible.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 07/08/2011 20:19

digital I had a few 19/20 day cycles after my mc, they're back to 28 days now with a 14 day lp. I'm kicking myself for trying the epo again but last time I tried it was right after the mc so I was never sure if the cervical erosion I had then was due to the mc or epo. I guess I know now! I'm just a bit paranoid I'll have a short cycle with 5 day lp like after the mc, due to the epo

mousebacon · 07/08/2011 20:27

Ooh, that is interesting tina Smile My chart would look much more exciting if I recorded the ear ones...oh, the things we do!

Thanks digi fingers crossed!

TomboyWife · 07/08/2011 21:16

AF is here! Hooray!

(Things You Never Thought You'd Say #528)

MissTinaTeaspoon · 07/08/2011 21:30

Grin tomboy

MissTinaTeaspoon · 08/08/2011 09:14

Why did none of you tell me that guaifenesin tasted so vile? AngryGrin

Velvetcu · 08/08/2011 09:41

yay Tomboy but make sure she knows that she isn't welcome after this time Grin

Loup23 · 08/08/2011 10:12

Yay for digi sorry to be so late catching up - great news, hope this is the stickiest bean going.

Good luck to daffs for this morning, hoping there's some big strong eggs in there.

I'm completely confused about where I am in cycle, the last two months (since starting acupuncture) i've had no peak reading on the CBFM or OPK sticks, last month temps all over the place, this month thought I'd O'd only for my temp to drop completely the next day Angry it's 4 or 5 months since m/c and i'd had normal-ish cycles up until acupuncture....

Hope others are having more luck, mousebacon are you till on the 2ww? Where has falconmistress gone...? x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 08/08/2011 11:58

They only got 5 eggs. I find out tomorrow how many have fertilised.

digitalgirl · 08/08/2011 13:17

Sorry it wasn't more than 5 dachs - keeping my fingers very very tightly crossed they all fertilise beautifully.

tomboy hooray! does that mean you start ttc this cycle?

MummyAbroad · 08/08/2011 13:40

Dach, lets hope its a case of quantity not quality with the eggs. Hope you managed to get one really good one to implant (you did say you only want to put one in this time?) and a spare to freeze. xxx

batteryhen · 08/08/2011 14:00

tomboy was just coming on to ask if AF had shown up - mine still hasn't but am wondering if I OVd last week. Do you think you OV'd or not this cycle?

Will also ask you ladies - I did some POAS action last week ( OPK) and the line was there but not as dark. As I had a HCG of 7 on the Monday I didn't think I would OV last week so didn't do anymore sticks after that. I had EWCM mid week, and then when I POAS this morning got a definite negative, no line at all. I am starting to think I OV'D last week and missed it so should get AF next week.

If anyone is still following and has not lost the will to live - any ideas??

Wave to all xx

ZamMummyInGabs · 08/08/2011 14:05

Ooh, congrats and everything crossed for digi GrinGrin
And everything also crossed for dachs and those five lovely eggs GrinGrin
Sorry to have disappeared for so long, been in the UK sans Internet (well, sans iPhone Grin) and then catching up with DH & DSs since I got back.
This is a big cycle for us - dd from mc was last month so at least that is over, on the other hand both DS's were conceived in August (4 & 6 years ago!) and next month it will be a year from when we started trying for DC3. DH very much on board with SMEG tho Grin and am using OPK's for first time ever - ov due Sat I think, which is when he goes away for 10days. And have been taking "natural clomid" soy isoflavones CD2-6.
Waiting for results from retest for sticky blood as FVLeiden apparently has no neurological/migraine symptoms.
AND the move to Sierra Leone looks probable for after Xmas-ish - DH going to visit for a week this Sat. Worried about being PG / mc / injecting heparin there so another reason for limb crossing this cycle Hmm
In other news, spoke with a very old & dear friend when back home to discover that she & her DH, who got married in 2005 like us, have now had 4 rounds of unsuccessful IVF due to premature ovarian failure Sad They had never mentioned any desire to have kids, and went thru it all alone SadSad Now they are mourning the lost possibilities b4 deciding what next if anything. I offered to donate eggs but am too old Sad Puts my so-called issues into perspective.....
Hope I haven't missed anyone else's news, will try to be more diligent in future Smile

Good luck for today dachs xxx

Lovely to hear from you loup, I hope your body gets itself all back to normal soon, maybe the acupuncture is getting everything sorted but that means things'll be strange for a while?

I hope your af turns up soon battery, I had funny opk things going on after my mc.

Nice to hear your news too zam

Got my appointment at 10...eek!
