Just a quick post this evening

Have a lovely holiday Tomboy glad you decided to go away.

MummyA get you and your driving. Glad it was fun Smile

Fingers crossed for Digital and Mouse

I shall be quizzing a few of you on Birthday parties . DD's coming up quite soon and I haven't really got any ideas yet.

Waves to everyone - sorry for not name checking or keeping up very well with everything. We're off for weekend in Wales tomorrow morning, so might be lurking but depends on signal.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

MummyAbroad · 04/08/2011 21:32

Hi all,

I have just booked my driving test for when I will be 38+3 Confused Confused Confused it was the earliest available date. I guess there is a small chance I will be up for it (i only lose a fiver if I dont go) and that is probably more chance than there will be after the birth. Oh well, lets just wait and see what happens.

Freezing I went to a 2 year olds party last week and his mum made a cake in the shape of a train - well she bought a cake, sliced it up into separate squares (wagons) smothered each one in different coloured icing and then loaded each one with a "cargo" of different sweets. She stuck 4 biscuits on each wagon to make the wheels and it looked fab. The kids went nuts over it. It was impossible to slice so she just put it on a low table and let them all gather round and pick off the sweets and biccies and eat at will! (was all gone in about 30 mins!) How old will your DD be freezing?

happy holidays Tomboy Smile

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 04/08/2011 21:38

Yay for driving test mummya :) Good luck!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 05/08/2011 07:58

Enjoy your weekend freezing, where abouts in Wales will you be?

Congrats on booking the test mummya! My friend did hers at about 35 weeks pregnant with twins, she could hardly fit behind the steering wheel but she passed! Grin

Good thinking on the thermometer mouse, I hope your new one gives you clearer answers.

For those of you discussing birthday parties, dd announced the other day that she's having hers in Chiquitos (a Mexican chain if you haven't heard of it). Her birthdays not until February! Hmm

Blackkat · 05/08/2011 11:06

Yay to mummy having driving lesson and for booking test-even if it is at 38wks (eek!)

battery so Sad about your results. How difficult! I really hope they have the extra results to give you more answers.

Tina god lick with the tests. Sorry AF is Turing into a long one.

If anyone remembers lily from the ttc after mc thread and Freak Out room, she's just some bad results from her amino Sad Is knitter still about? Just thinking the offer of an ear from someone whose been through it might help her.... If you didn't mind?!

MummyAbroad · 05/08/2011 20:46

Hi Collie

you have just reminded me about what LadyB said further up the thread about someone with scar tissue. Sorry ladyB I forgot about it until now! Please tell her to PM me if she wants, will be happy to answer any questions.

digitalgirl · 06/08/2011 07:10

BFP

Here we go again. Let's hope it's Fifth time lucky. I'm on steroids, aspirin and progesterone - so hopefully that will help.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/08/2011 07:17

A tentative Grin for digi, I'm crossing everything!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 06/08/2011 09:03

yay digi :) I have everything crossed that this one is stickier than the stickiest pot of superglue ever.

News from the dachskennel is that the follies have grown nicely and egg collection will be on Monday at 10.30. FX that there are good quality eggs, as I can't rely on quantity this time! :)

CollieandPup · 06/08/2011 09:03

Grin for digi !! fx for you!

Velvetcu · 06/08/2011 09:44

Yay digi I really hope this is a sticky one for you Grin

TomboyWife · 06/08/2011 10:30

Hooray digi! Grin I shall sing The Sticky Song for you.

Good luck with your test mummya! Who knows, maybe being hugely pregnant will work in your favour and the examiner will be extra-nice to you.

I have to go talk to our mechanic a bit later. DH normally deals with car things, but he's so angry he can't stand to look at the guy. Basically, the mechanic did all the prep work for re-painting our camper, knew it needed to be ready by yesterday, then stopped working on it, leaving it in bits. The old paint has been taken off, the windows are out, all the trim is off, etc etc. We didn't need to get it re-painted just right now. If the mechanic had told us earlier that he couldn't hit our date, we would've told him not to start and brought it back after our holiday. The thing I have to go discuss today is that he wants us to pay some of the bill now, before he's finished. I'd like to tell him he can stick his early payment somewhere very dark and un-sunny, but I think it's wiser to give him a bit of money now so he actually does finish the job this millennium. Gah... Angry

TomboyWife · 06/08/2011 10:31

Oh, I knew I'd missed out something important. Fingers and everything crossed for you dachs!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 06/08/2011 10:39

Hurrah digi! Excellent news. Congratulations, and best of luck for a sticky bean.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/08/2011 10:43

dachs hope those follicles do what you need them to over the weekend and you get some grade A eggs on Monday!

PrettyVacant1 · 06/08/2011 11:10

CaribouMoo · 06/08/2011 12:15

Good news travels fast! Also just hopping on to wish Digi all the best with her pregnancy, congrats! You've been through so much, and have those bastard long cycles, can't wait to see you get your happy ending. MrsPretty is right, the best way to get through the nerves is to try and pretend its not happening. Good luck missus - and also to Mouse on the 2ww. Hope everyone else is well x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/08/2011 13:21

Yay for growing follies dachs, whatever I haven't got crossed for digi I'll cross for you on Monday!

Angry tomboy Angry. Go get 'im girl!

MummyAbroad · 06/08/2011 14:47

oooh too lovely bits of good news.. I knew things would start looking up soon Smile

digi Congrats Grin I know it must be really hard to feel positive after having travelled such a long road already, but I really hope everything you and the doctors have learned about your case will help make sure this one is a keeper. Moan away on here as much as you need to, those early days are HARD, but we are all here for you. xxxx

Dach horray for Monday collection, I guess that means they got nice and big, otherwise they would have waited a few more days? I know its not the ideal number for you, but at least you are in with a chance this cycel. I am rooting for the follies to all be fantastic quality.

Lets hope the good news just keeps coming Smile

Tomboy sympathies for the mechanic trauma. I have been having similar problems with plumbers. I have decided to live with lukewarm water for the last three weeks Sad because I needed a break from having to deal with them and all their bullshit. Good luck (pay half what he asks, say you dont have the money on you and will pay the rest in one week or so)

MummyAbroad · 06/08/2011 14:49

sorry that should read "two lovely bits of good news"

brokenbarrenbrook · 06/08/2011 15:54

Me too popping in to say congrats to digi splendid news love! Fingers very tightly crossed for you, lots of love.

And big waves to everyone, I'm a slack arse and haven't been on in aaaaaaages! Mwah x

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 06/08/2011 16:28

Yep mummya Nice and big. They like the lead ones to be over 18mm and I have 3 over 20mm, so looking good. And lining (which they want to be over 8mm) was 11mm yesterday so will prob be about 12mm. There were the 5/6 follicles they had already identified and a couple of other had also started developing, so although they will still be very small there may be a possibility of 7/8 eggs. I'm not holding my breath on that though - i think they'll probably get 4 or 5.

batteryhen · 06/08/2011 16:32

digi I am thrilled for you. You are doing everything right, so try to keep calm (says me) XX

dachs good news for growing follies xxx

tomboy - Be careful giving money out to a job that is not done yet - I feel very Angry on your behalf xx

Nice to see lurkers to ! XX

digitalgirl · 06/08/2011 16:56

Thank you ladies. I was feeling distinctly unemotional about it this morning but reading your posts have reminded me how much we've all been through together.

dachs yay for fat follies. Thinking of you on Monday.
