cross posted with knitter

What kind of puppy? Puppies are SO CUTE!!!!!!!! I love puppies - can I come?

Glad you've got your investigations sorted. FX that when you start trying you'll get a nice sticky bean :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/07/2011 12:35

Hey dachs the puppy is a chocolate Labrador - she's super cute (and almost house trained!)

Grr and Yay for loosing weight - shopping is also not my favourite past-time... My sister recently lost weight and gave me all her clothes that she'd shrunk out of - hooray - no shopping for me! I am trying to loose weight myself too (partly for conception purposes) but its quite tricky so far....

MissTinaTeaspoon · 22/07/2011 13:18

Get well soon yrmotb

Wow knitter, you must rattle as you walk along! I hope the appointment goes well.

I've gained weight and gone up a size dachs Blush so went out a few weeks ago for the opposite reason to you! I lost loads whilst bf and I always expected to put it back on, I think I did well for it to take 2 years though! Smile

Speaking of shopping, I'd spent £110 before I'd even got dressed this morning! We've needed new pans for a while and amazon had a fab deal on a set of circulon ones and I just couldn't resist! Blush Smile

MummyAbroad · 22/07/2011 13:30

oh sorry Tina that post was meant for Tomboy doh!

batteryhen · 22/07/2011 14:26

Hello lovely ladies.

Thought I would do a quick post as we are off on holiday tomorrow (Devon :)) and we are NOT taking laptops etc.

lady Have you been to the Drs yet?? Do't make me come out there (altough would be v nice!)

dach Do I need to say anything to you> 7DPO?? 7 DPO??? Get a grip woman (in a nice way, not a big meanie way)

tomboy we are WTF twins sadly. I think I am a bit behind you - 5 weeks tomorrow since ERPC ad HCG was still 50 on Tuesday. Crapiola. Just want to get on and make a baby now please. So I know exactly how you feelxx

mummy glad you are getting the driving sorted, you will have so much more freedom. I also hope everything at home is good tooxx

babe Your poor friend. God - who doesn't remember splitting up with someone and the pain it causes :( Someone once said to me ' what do you do when the one person that can stop you crying is the one person that made you cry in the first place :(?' Happy cake making xx

Tina I too have put on weight. I have been pg 3 times in 18 months and I just find it hard to shift, but have been to the gym twice this week and done some good long walks too. I was sad going to the gym as really I should be 17 weeks pg by now, and gettign on the x trainer should be the last thing on my mind.

I have been drowning under house move paperwork too which is not nice, but we are getting there. Did I say we sold our house really quick in one day?? So it is all go in the hen coop.

This will bring a smile to some of your faces hopefully:
I called the garage the other day to book my car in for a service and ended up having asking for a small cervix Blush and not only that I then said and then next year I will book it in for it's big cervix. - You know when you are thinking 'shut up, shut up' but your mouth keeps going. Sigh .

Waves to everyone, see you in a week xxxx

batteryhen · 22/07/2011 14:26

Forgot to say nice to see you knitter too xx

MummyAbroad · 22/07/2011 15:10

battery

Grin @ big cervix

forgot to say fab news on the house sale, that can be such a stressful thing to go through, I am glad it was all plain sailing. Im pleased to report that things have been lovely and peaceful at home here, hope you have a lovely holiday xxx

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 15:18

battery Yay for the quick house sale! Grin

And yes, I do know 7dpo is WAY too early, but I just felt the need to POAS, even though I knew it was futile.

batteryhen · 22/07/2011 15:23

dach

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 15:26

Grin Maybe we should start POAS addicts anonymous! Any other closet POAS addicts out there?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/07/2011 17:37

dachs you might recall I have been known to poas while af is still here and then again at cd10 - WTF?! Seriously though, you know that you're not going to get a sensible answer at 7dpo don't you? Smile

Yay for the weight loss though - that's fantastic!

knitter lovely to see you again, fx the tests go smoothly and you can move towards a sticky bfp asap x

freezing hurray for good 16 wk appt! Smile

And good luck to yrmotb for yours on Tuesday - fx you can get them to listen in, cry if you need to (I cried anyway Blush ). Ditto freezing re shocking variability in ante natal care Sad.

mummya good work on getting the driving lessons booked Grin

battery enjoy the holiday Envy

I still haven't got around to ordering any books for the dcs re pg etc - but feeling brave today so might start a thread (eek!) and I know you lovely ladies have made a couple of good suggestions. I reckon if I venture into wider mn territory with something fairly safe like book recommendations, I can build up to posting on the bf board for advice about whether an attempt this time round is likely to be any better than my disastrous first (some of those ladies scare me! Grin )

MummyAbroad · 22/07/2011 20:29

guilty as charged over here, I was another POAS addict. My strategy was to do one everyday starting 7DPO. I found it saved a lot of time as otherwise I would just have been debating with myself all day long, everyday, over whether it was worthwhile peeing or not.

Izzy I am sure you will be fine with the book recommendation but you are a brave lady venturing onto the breastfeeding topic. It seems to be the most controversial issue on MN ever. Be afraid... be very afraid. Grin

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/07/2011 20:47

Izzy I only ever stick to gardening, DIY and conception boards. I'm too chicken, but let me know when you post, I"ll come and support you.

Have a lovely holiday Battery

Knitter thank you for offer of PM chatting. I might well take you up on it soon. I"m taking each day as it comes but since today started at 4am, I think perhaps it's on my mind much more than I realised. Fortunately I managed to catch up on some zzz's this afternoon. Do say though, if the memories are too painful for you and you change your mind.

LadyBee red ticket for you today Grin

waves to BBB, Jolls, Mouse, Dachs, YRMOTB, AandR, Zam, Tina, Tomboy, Collie, Loup, Velvet and any other lurkers.

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/07/2011 20:49

Also meant to say, get better soon YRMOTB, glad you had a day off. Baking sounds lovely, sad for your friend. Take it easy now

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/07/2011 20:59

Izzy good luck on your posting elsewhere... I've even been known to post on AIBU - no fear here!!

Freezing the offer is definitely there - so few people know about our Down's Bean it's often quite a relief to be able to talk about it to be honest...

Bee... make the appointment - NOW.... go on... I SAID NOW ... did that work?

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 21:04
Youremindmeofthebean · 22/07/2011 21:38

Lolololol izz I forgot about your tendency to poAs on cd3.
What happened last time with the breast feeding?

Thanks for the wishes all, I feel a bit better, but we have had tears tonight, and probably more tomorrow. It wasn't a short relationship, particulary, so unfortunately she might be less than buoyant for a while.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 22/07/2011 22:21

Come over to the chat thread now and we're reminiscing over 80s toys...it's not all scary Smile

I'm trying to overcome my poas addiction, there's none in the house and I intend to keep it that way!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 22:28
TomboyWife · 23/07/2011 11:44

Morning ladies!

Commiserations to those who've put on weight. My 30s haven't been kind to me in that regard and exercise has weirdly made it worse. When I started cycling a few years ago I gained over 2 stone almost instantly. It was all muscle, but the fat didn't shift either.

battery I didn't realise we were cycle buddies. (I should've done, but somehow missed it.) Enjoy your holiday and fx we both get off the WTF cycle soon.

knitter hooray for puppies! We've got one who's 8 months old at the moment. He's utterly adorable, which is lucky for him as he's going through the chew-the-house phase. Hmm

Dachs can I have next go with the haddock? Grin I think I'm turning into a POAS addict myself since I got the pack of 25 cheapies. When it was expensive to test I didn't do it without good reason, but now that it only costs 20p, I'm feeling the urge to do it all the damn time. Last go was on Tuesday, and when it came up BFN I said to DH, "Right, don't let me test again for at least a week now."

at everyone else

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 23/07/2011 16:16

Another ridiculously short luteal phase here - AF just rocked up :(

Still, at least it means I can start the next IVF cycle - I was just hoping it wouldn't be necessary this time.

I don't even have great hopes of the IVF working - it worked second cycle rather than first last time. Still, must try to think positive.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 23/07/2011 16:21

Sad dachs. When will you be due to start the ivf?

Waves to tomboy

No news here...working tonight, hopefully going to the beach tomorrow when I get up if the weather co operates!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 23/07/2011 16:52

tina Will have first scan and start drugs on Monday. Prob have egg collection in about 2 weeks, and then embryo transfer 3 - 5 days later depending on how they develop

MissTinaTeaspoon · 23/07/2011 16:57

Well I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we'll have everything crossed for you, you deserve so much for it to work. Good luck for Monday xx

AandRMum · 23/07/2011 21:37

Hi all - sorry for being missing in action for so long - life is just a bit crazy at the moment.

Can't remember who was asking about swim suits but Figleaves is good on that front.

Oh and if anyone wants a campervan - one has turned up on our site! We phoned the council to have it removed but when they arrived to take it away someone told them that we had given permission for it to be parked there and so the council left it there! Cheeky beggers!!! If noone claims it in the next day or so I am going to put a for sale sign on it - so if you need parts 'Tomboy' you are welcome to it!! My DD wants to paint it pink and live in it!

Dachs Crap on the af front. All feasible bits crossed for a good ivf run - we are heading for ov so not too much crossing going on here Grin As for the clothing front I highly recommend op-shopping (Oz word for charity shopping!). Do you get Fara shops? I ended finding my entire work wardrobe in one shop. I struggle buying new work clothing as I am certain I will be pregnant just around the corner and will then get to be a stay at home Mum for the next ten years as dh's business is going to take off and I won't need to work - dream on dream on ...

Bee get thee to a doctor. Having been tested for everything under the sun -completely under protest as I hate going to the doctor - I can only say knowing what is happening is much better than the shit which scrolls through your head otherwise!!!

battery I was so hung over just after my last af that I poas'd as I was certain it must be morning sickness!!

Tomboy perversely glad to hear that cycling made the whole weight thing worse for you. I am cycling 20 miles a day at the moment and I haven't dropped a kg - very frustrating as dh is rapidly approaching my weight. his weight loss is stress related - think I prefer us happy and round!!

Feeling very jealous at the moment - dh is on holidays for two weeks from the end of the week. He is planning all sorts of lovely things with the dds and I want to be on holidays! Unfortunately as I get paid by the day, holidays for me just aren't an option at the moment.

Waves to all!!!
