I passed fourth time!!

bee have you made a docs appointment yet?

Helloooo everyone :)

Loup23 · 19/07/2011 17:55

HI ladies, how is everyone? Just back off holiday and took me ages to find the thread again so now trying to catch up - any BFP's?

After having mc in March and getting back to normal I now appear to be having a WTF cycle again, so fed up really thought a holidayw ould help but I ended up having AF on and off from CD20 - off to acupunturist tomorrow but wondering if her freaky needles have messed things up...?

Having a "i'll never be pregnant" day, probably just post holiday blues, will catch up on the thread and try and post more positive messages... Blush

MummyAbroad · 19/07/2011 19:59

Helllloooo! DS is back at nursery in the mornings and I have been using the extra free time to get stuff done Smile I would love to report that I have actually started driving lessons, but so far can only say that I have got three steps ahead in the beaurocracy game (got an insurance policy, blood test and certificate of health from a doctor all done today - phew!) - one more long queue tomorrow and then I should have my provisional driving licence and can start lessons! I have failed the test twice all ready (when I was 18) so I am hoping to be third timer. Costa Rica is quite famous for corrupt driving examiners and very bad drivers though, so "failing" over here, really means failing to pay a "tip" to the examiner - Angry Hmm

Go get checked! As soon as its done, you will feel so relieved and wonder why it took you so long.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 19/07/2011 22:17

I hope you're doing ok, lovely, and are managing to cope with everything that's going on. Well done on starting to sort out the driving, Shock re the bribery and corruption - best start saving up! Smile

freezing sorry the nuchal results weren't what you'd hoped for, although 1:88 (have I got that right?) isn't hugely high odds...not meaning to downplay the worry, though, it's all scary. Glad the mw appt seems to have clarified things for you...I'm not clear what your final decision is, but I know when dh and I discussed it we thought we wouldn't go for cvs/amnio if high risk (for various personal reasons I wasn't really considering termination) but would have asked for/paid for a detailed scan at one of the specialist clinics (probably London) to get a more definitive answer. If you don't want the cvs or amnio then maybe this would be an option? (although it sounds as though your hospital has very low mc rates for either procedure which I guess might change your mind). Hope I'm not speaking out of turn, just thought it might be another option.

bee go to a doctor and set your mind at rest!! I sent dh with a really dodgy-looking mole last year and it was absolutely fine, but so worth going for the peace of mind. Btw your car sounds fab Envy

digi sorry you're feeling down, big (hugs) Sad. Hope your cycle gets its act together soon

yrmotb yay on the exercising, I'm feeling relatively virtuous tonight as have been to antenatal yoga (does that count?!). How's the bump coming along?

Fx for you dachs hope that dream's a good omen Smile

Am on iPhone so can't scroll back and have completely blanked on everything else I was going to say so I'll just wave sheepishly to bbb loup Tina velvet and everyone else (yes I know I've missed some!), hands round double chocolate cookies to make up for it>

Freezingmyarseoff · 19/07/2011 23:01

Hi
Just quick reply to Izzy, yes I agree that 1:88 isn't hugely high odds. I didn't say what our decision is just because I know there are other people on nearby threads also facing similar decisions, so kind of wanted to be thoughtful for want of a better word. Probably I'm not being very logical but sometimes I'm not. I'm blaming the extra sugar intake today Smile And you're not speaking out of turn at all, thank you for your thoughts.

Digi sorry I was have been a bit mememe today, but I crossed posts with you yesterday. I meant to say, squeeze for you and give your cycle a polite little chivey along.

Night all

CollieandPup · 19/07/2011 23:13

The thread has dropped off my 'I'm on' list so thought I'd say a quick hello!!!

Wishing everyone on the 2ww lots of luck!!! tina nice temp rise! I hope you know I'll be stalking you now

xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/07/2011 07:23

freezing hope it didn't sound like I was being dismissive re the risk factor...I know it's worrying, just trying to be optimistic. And I do understand re not wanting to discuss final decision...it's such a difficult one and there's just no right answer for anyone. Also, while it's all very well for me or others to say I would/wouldn't do x, y, z, I do think until you're actually presented with having to make that decision you never really know what you would do in rl! I'm sure you and dh will do what's best for your family, whatever that is, and it sounds like you've got good mws with you xx

Ladybee · 20/07/2011 12:12

No. I haven't.
I spent the morning procrastinating reading the baby gone book and crying for myself and all the other women who have lost pregnancies, babies and children. Sometimes it amazes me that we do just carry on. We are astounding - really.

And then I peeled 2kg of tiny, ugly but very sweet mandarins and made mandarin jam.

See, when I procrastinate I really put heart and soul into it Grin
will call and make an appointment tomorrow morning, I promise.

Please excuse lack of personals - am in bed on phone, night all

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 20/07/2011 12:16

ooooh yum >

mousebacon · 20/07/2011 22:35

Evening ladies, nothing to report here but feeling a little guilty as I haven't been around as much as usual - end of term madness has taken over!

CD13 so am hoping to ov next week sometime... Fingers crossed for 'first' time lucky Smile

waves to all x

Youremindmeofthebean · 21/07/2011 08:51

Hello mouseSmile. Glad you're ok, I was starting to get concerned about you! Nearly at the end now though!

Morning! I'm full of the joys of springtime today. Except for the stinking cold I appear to have. Had a banging headache for 2 days, and only managed a saline solution up my nose for relief (classy bird). It was strangely satisfying, just in case any of you get the inclination to try it. Like jet-propelled sea water. (nice??)

Hope all are well, freezing hope you are still ok, and settled in your decision, as much as one can be about these things.

I have my 16 week check on Tuesday which will involve a fight as we don't listen to the heartbeat here either- parallels with izzy's pct, and I will have my quad test done then.

ladybee I am very impressed by your classy procrastination. Mandarin jam sounds ace. Have you booked the GP? (we will ask you every dayGrin)

izz hurrah on the yoga! I nearly did a yoga class last night and then abandoned it in favour of the gym at the last minute. Bump is good, bigger at night than morning, but I look massive. Who ate all the pies..

Lol, ma You mean to say Costa Rica is corrupt? Nothing like the UK, thenWinkGrin. I suppose at least it's upfront about the corruption.

Waves to all, better go start some work today.

MummyAbroad · 21/07/2011 13:14
MummyAbroad · 21/07/2011 13:16

oh, and I got my provisional driving license yesterday! It "only" took another 4 hour queuing session visiting 3 different desks and presenting 7 different bit of paper work.... MummyAbroad:1 bureaucracy:0 Grin

Freezingmyarseoff · 21/07/2011 14:35

Good work MummyA

less good work Bee , tomorrow that will be a red ticket (-5) unless you have made your doctor's appointment by then

Hey mouse glad to hear from you. I was beginning to wonder too.

I had my 16 week appt with midwife today. All fine, heard the popiscle's heartbeat Grin. Thanks YRMOTB, I'm definately feeling more secure in our decision (for now at least) having had a few days to mull it over.

I'm rather Sad at the variability of care between PCTs. I know it happens but hearing it actually takes place is a bit rubbish . So good luck next week Babe with heartbeat listening.

I have a choice of doing my tax return or having a little snooze, not a difficult choice then....zzzzzzz

Waves to everyone

MissTinaTeaspoon · 21/07/2011 17:34

Hi all Smile

yay for good 16 week check freezing, I'm glad you've made a decision you are happy with, as others have said, you can never say what you would do until you are in that situation. Good luck for Tuesday yrmotb, get your sleeves rolled up for a fight! Grin

How frustrating mummya! Good luck with the lessons.

Good luck for next week mouse Wink

Waves to collie izzy dachs loup battery and everyone else! Any news from knitter? I'm home and in dry clothes after an unexpected shower! Myself and dd went out in summer clothes which was perfectly reasonable when we left to visit friends then the road was closed near their house necessitating a 10 minute walk from the car...then the heavens opened! Where's summer gone?! Angry

TomboyWife · 21/07/2011 22:05

Evening ladies!

MummyA good job slaying the bureaucracy!

Freezing hooray for hearing the popsicle!

to everyone else

Well, I'm wondering When TF the WTF cycle is going to end. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks since the mc, stick has said no several times, and no sign of AF. Hurry up already! Angry

MummyAbroad · 22/07/2011 01:54

Freezing lovely news! So pleased all is going well Grin Grin Grin

I have booked driving lessons, but earliest slot is 3 Aug (disapointing, but hey ho, getting there) Not so much luck with doctors, I have another recomendation but cant track down his office yet. Had lunch with an old friend today and realised she had her baby with one of the docs I was seeing in January - I thought he was really good at vaginal births, but she ended up with lots of complications and forceps. Hmm Glad I scratched him off the list.

Tina your time is coming I am sure. Dont worry about the sticks, v. unreliable in WTF anyway, AF could come any minute

MissTinaTeaspoon · 22/07/2011 07:24

mummya I think you've confused me with someone else (tomboy? battery?) I really don't want af this month! (or any other for that matter!) Grin

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 07:28

I don't want AF either, but I don't think this is my month and I think I'm going to have to do ivf, so I wish it would hurry up and arrive. :( I just poas and bfn :( I know it's too early to test at 7 dpo but I just really wanted to see a nice shiny bfp...

Loup23 · 22/07/2011 10:20

Hi tina which day are you on? I've lost track a bit, Fx AF stays away...

Waves to everyone else, back on day 4 here but acupuncture seems to have helped shift things (sorry tmi) so hoping nice new linging for a sticky bean this month Hmm

Good luck to all and sorry not to namecheck x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 22/07/2011 10:49

I'm day 19 loup. Going for day 21 bloods on Monday.

dachs cd7 is too early! Consider yourself fishslapped! Grin

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/07/2011 11:31

Hello you gorgeous creatures

Sorry i've been so absent and thanks for those that have asked after me...

I've been a bit rubbish on my 'normal' boards on MNet - comes of spreading myself too thin and then trying to get involved in the FF boards too - ended up forgetting what I'd posted where and getting confused between people... Have decided to dump the rest of them and just talk to you lot...!

Life is pottering on in Knitter-land... Currently on AF after a weirdly short cycle - only 27 days but there is no arguing with Auntie Flo... when she's here, she's here... Took my temperature almost every day last cycle so now have a good baseline chart. DH and I have had our bloods taken for the miscarriage testing now... The next step is a scan to look at the structure of my womb next Tuesday and then they get all the results together and hopefully tell us there is nothing wrong on the 11th of August. We're not TTC until after that 11 of Aug appointment - just in case they want to start us on anything medical... That means this current cycle is out too... Financially speaking (because of some weird T&C at work) there is an advantage to getting pregnant in Oct or Nov so we might wait until then, but I think DH and I both want to get cracking again (and we hate using condoms!) so probably not. I'm also pumping myself full of vitamins this month (Selenium, Magnesium, Wild Yam, Evening Primrose Oil, Co Enzyme C10 and Conception Vits)...

Someone was asking about natural progesterone supplements further up the thread - the Wild Yam is supposed to be good for that BTW...

In the rest of life we're our usual busy selves... It was my birthday on Wednesday and that was lovely and we'e off to my parents for the weekend to see them and their new puppy so that will be very exciting - DS may not sleep tonight!

freezing your talk of CVS testing brought back a lot of memories for me - if you want to talk more about Down's and Down's risk I (sadly) have a lot of recent experience - PM me if you want to

mummyA good work on the driving

Dachs tut tut on the POAS :)

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 22/07/2011 11:32

Lost lots of weight since I had the twins (and about 4kg since I got back from Venice) so none of my work clothes fit me any more. I thought I'd better organise some new clothes as I'll have to go back to work soon, so I ordered some on the internet as there were some really good deals in the sales, in a size smaller than I was. They arrived today. They're all too big for me. This is good in one way :) But it's a PITA as now I have to send them all back and actually go shopping to find out what size I am now :( I usually like shopping, but I didn't want to have to physically go shopping for work stuff as it will make me really feel I need to go back to the office soon, and I'm really not looking forward to that.

tina I have everything crossed that AF doesn't show up! :)

tomboy I have everything crossed that AF turns up soon! :)

loup Sending lots of superglue and hope you get a nice sticky bean :)

mummya 3 Aug isn't that long to wait in the grand scheme of things - I hope it goes well :)

freezing Glad the 16 week appointment went well :)
