Hoping to continue the trend of the lucky thread....

OP posts:
MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/06/2011 09:50

She hung the ring over my palm and it went in circles (ie. My dd) then sort of moved it to the side of my hand and moved back in, there were more circles, then she moved it away again and back in and it didn't move at all! If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it at all! She did it over my bump when I was pg with dd and got it right then too.

I'm not getting any sleep due to the pneumatic drill outside Sad I'm so tired I want to cry!

stitchinline · 28/06/2011 12:52

Hi everyone

Been lurking about this weekend, trying not to mental too much and freak out at every little thing that happens (or doesn’t happen as the case may be). As I keep telling myself and DH repeats to me when I start getting stressed about it – it is still very early days.

Tina like the others said 10dpo is very early, what sort of tests did you use. I only got my BFP this time at 12dpo and it was very faint on a FR. I would be very Angry at the drill, disturbed sleep is not fun. Very cool about the predictions, fx for you when you next test

Battery thanks for the congrats i think waiting to TTC will be very difficult but then if you do MC again you will wish you had waited, not a good decision to have to make at all. Hope you get some answers from your consultant that make the choice less difficult. That pressure of the work thing is awful too.

Mummya good on you for starting to think of a birth planSmile

Ladybee hope your eye has cleared up, glad other things are falling into place hopefully the middle isn’t far offWink

Collie hope everything is going very uneventfully for you

dachs hopefully it is just your body having a good clean out and it will be nice and ready for IVF beans implanting, hope you have a lovely holiday and come back very rested and fat (from all the yummy food) I love pasta and gelati

Am counting myself as 4+6 today - really not sure of cycle length so measuring it from OV date. I think I will book a scan for 8/9 weeks, going to do it private as don’t want to go back to the EPU. Still have issues with the whole scan thing as I can’t help but associate it with my last MC Sad I had a scan with HB one day and all was fine and then started to MC the next day so as illogical as it is I blame the scan. Don’t actually want to have one at all but GP suggested I should have an early one as history of endometriosis means ectopic is potentially a risk. Also need to see GP to start the booking in process but also going to leave that till later. Going on holidays in 2 weeks and trying to keep my head in the sand until after that.

Waves to everyone else. Hope you enjoyed all the lovely sunny weather, bit sad it’s all gone today

stitchinline · 28/06/2011 13:43

oh and dachs meant to say one of my favourite places in venice is the island torcello, it's very quiet and peaceful, quite different to the other islands

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/06/2011 15:42

ladybee fx for the purchase of yearly subscription heralding a bfp in the first cycle! How's the eye today?

battery good on getting the Shehata appointment, not so good on the waiting dilemma Sad. I'm really not sure what I would do [not very helpful emoticon]. What does your dp think?

knitter how was Glasto? Envy

mummya well done on starting to think about the birth plan - big step forward Smile. What are your options in Costa Rica? Are you thinking home birth/hospital or something in between?

Tina that is v early to test...fx for a bfp soon Smile

I'm 18+3 now and my bump has miraculously popped out over the weekend. Bizarrely this does not make me feel any more secure! I don't like the fact that it's now obvious to everyone but I'm still not having regular enough movements to relax and enjoy it. That sounds mad I know

Freezingmyarseoff · 28/06/2011 16:00

Hello all
Sorry I've been a AWOL recently, a combination of tiredness, sickness and busy-ness.

I will try to catch up as best I can.

MummyA congrats on passing the driving test part 1. Great to hear you're thinking about a birth plan now too. You still have lots of time so sounds good that you're just starting now and then there is much less stress because you've left it late. But let's face it, even without a birth plan you'll still deliver one way or the other so it's not going to hold you up or anything. Collie's advice of posting on the grads thread is good, but I love hearing about them so ask here too (mine will be so straight forward - ELCS- that I have to pretend via everyone else's Smile)

Battery good to hear from you my love. I don't really envy you having to decide what to do - as everyone has said, only you and DP can decide. However, I do agree with MummyA that having a break can be very liberating once you've accepted that.

Dachs have a lovely holiday. Was lurking on the grad's thread and am very Envy of the orient express. Did you decide to see the GP or not?

welcome Tomboy sorry you're here but welcome nonetheless.

Tina sorry about the BFN but it is still quite early. I remember doing the ring suspended by a hair test and it went in circles when a woman did it and swung back and forth when a man did (or was it the other way round) anyway, it was fun but left me rather Confused

Ladybee hope the eye gets better soon. The temping sounds, err, challenging. Good luck.

I'm rather glad the weather is a bit cooler today, I think the heat got to me yesterday and I was feeling rubbish all day , until I actually was sick - probably TMI. I thought it would be fading now but hey ho. DH was very sympathetic "I'm glad you're being sick" Hmm

Whoever was talking about age, I'm also in the ancient brigade but would rather not think about it too much! Whenever I get asked how old I am, I never actually remember Blush

Waves to AandR, Wiggle, Digital, Jollster, BBB, stich, Collie, YRMOTB, knitter, Izzy, mouse, velvet and anyone else lurking

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 28/06/2011 17:12

afternoon everyone :)

freezing I didn't end up seeing the gp - they had no appointments free before i go away :( Am still bleeding red stuff but it seems to have slowed down a bit. Sorry you're Envy of the trip. I'm Envy of everyone on the grads thread - I'd rather be there than on even the most fab holiday.

sorry, don't have time for a massive catch up as i have to iron all the shirts DH wants to take on holiday, as he didn't tell me until last night that he had sorted them out but not actually washed them Angry So i've been doing laundry all day.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/06/2011 17:52

freezing I think I count as ancient too; it struck me when I went for the NT scan and instead of just saying "those odds are really good", the consultant had to add "...for your age!" Confused Angry

dachs sorry you couldn't get the gp appt before you go Sad. However I think bleeding is common after mc or childbirth; everything's so haywire for a while, so I wouldn't worry too much unless you've got symptoms of infection. I hope you have a great time in Venice - god knows you deserve it! When do you go?

aandr sorry about the barrage of tests, that sounds miserable. Hopefully you're managing to keep busy with other things too - how is the house project going?

stitch sorry you're not feeling too confident; I'm afraid it doesn't stop!!

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 28/06/2011 18:03

izzy I'm off to stay in a hotel in London overnight tomorrow and we're off to Venice on Thursday

Blackkat · 28/06/2011 21:19

Just popping by to wish Dachs the most amazing time in Venice. I have the most beautiful mental images of elegant Dachs and MrDachs in Agatha Christie-esque splendour on the Orient Express. Smile

Battery been thinking of you. I hope Dr Shehata can offer you good advice and you get your pre-September wish ((hugs))

Tina, FX that it was just too early, I have as many bits of me crossed as is humanly possible.

to everyone else and shares around Flakes to make herself feel less guilty about scoffing them

AandRMum · 28/06/2011 21:24

Ooo Venice Dachs I love Venice. These guide books are brilliant - they may be hard to find (try Standfords on Longarce in Covent Garden) but there is an iphone app you can download link Also I would second the suggestion of Torcello and then book a lunch at Luguna di Toni Great lunch it is a fishing hut in the middle of the lagoon - amazing stuff. Stay away from the main areas and just wander the streets around Santa Maria Formosa and if you love good coffee - the best coffee (roasted on site) and gelati (another shop) is along Sestiere Cannaregio - not the prettiest street but great shops - look out for the shoes made with velvet top and bike tyre soles (hmm I'll stop now!) I know a baby is better than Venice but in the meantime ....

Have to go in for more tests from Mammogram. The radiologist wasn't present and has only just looked at the results from Wed last week and wants another view and a scan. Wasn't worried about it before but now am bricking it - very annoying as they won't tell me if they have seen anything worrying or just didn't get good shots and I have to wait until 1st July to find out.

battery I am hopeless on the waiting thing as well - I really should wait until after I have been through all of this testing stuff as I now have the dilemma of being 12 dpo when I need to get a mammogram. I will test the morning of the appointment and see what happens.

Izzy the house is going nowhere whilst DH and I are swamped by work but there is a glimmer of hope that we will kick off in August. I just want to be living in our new house with a chubby bubby - and no scary big C words floating around in my head. 18+3 and a bump is great stuff - give yourself a spot in the day to just rub it and revel in it and then you can get back to worrying!

Youremindmeofthebean · 29/06/2011 09:28

Morning all.

dachs I hope you enjoy Venice. I was watching it on the tv last night with Rory McGrath and Griff Rhys Jones, and it looked so lovely. And how do they build it. Crazy.

freezing sorry you have been feeling so poorly. Hopefully the end is in sight. The heat doesn't help at all though, I don't think.

izz lol at for your age. He just had to add that qualifier to ruin it didn't he!Grin Ohh, bump is exciting! and 18 weeks. Where does the time get to.Tis mental. Do you have an anomaly scan soon?

aandr sorry that the mammogram wasn't definitive and you have to go back. Best of luck for Friday when you find out. I'm sure it will just be an unclear picture.

tina sorry about the BFN. It is still quite early though, so Fx for you.

Waves to all, hope everyones well. I'm off to a 40th party on Friday. The age old dilemma of what to wear is rearing its ugly head. Ds is coming, so it won't be very late though.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 29/06/2011 10:03

Good morning

Glad its all boring with you stitch!

Yay for bump izzy!

I hope you are feeling a bit better today freezing, my dh is the same, I mentioned that I was feeling a bit sick this morning (probably because I'm so blooming tired after yesterday) and he said 'good'!

Have a great holiday dachs and great party ytmotb.

I hope it all goes well on Friday AandR

I haven't tested today, I am feeling sick though as I said higher up but I feel so silly for coming on here every month with symptoms and being wrong! Grin

MissTinaTeaspoon · 29/06/2011 10:09

I meant to ask falcon, is everything okay?

And waves to blackkat!

KnitterNotTwitter · 29/06/2011 14:41

Hey
just checking in... planning a quiet month this cycle so not much excitement from me at the moment!

got my blood tests done on friday - 7 vials of blood!! Took them three attempts - one in each arm and one in the back of my hand before they filled them - I have tricky, slippery, collapsing veins!
Next it'll be a scan late July then results early August....

I am going to have a vitamin free month this week - fed up of popping the pregnancy vits each morning. Then next month/cycle i'm going to top up my selenium, magnesium and Co Enzyme c10 which someone suggested on another board. Then the next cycle after that - when we'll be back on the shagwagon again I'll go back on the evening primrose oil, pregnancy vits and Wild Yam...

I'm going to keep the temping going as that is interesting and I want to get in the habit... Mind you DS is in a funny mood since Glastonbury and I ended up sleeping in his room last night. He kept saying that he wanted to talk to me and that he wasn't tired. In the end we went to sleep at 10pm..... early for me and late for him! Fingers crossed we don't have a repeat tonight.

Glastonbury festival was great - saw lots of cool things and DS and DH enjoyed themselves too.

love and hugs to you all

Loup23 · 29/06/2011 15:42

Just delurking to wish tinaT a BFP, I know how it feels symptom spotting every month I was sure last month was it..... Fx crossed this is for you, I'll be popping in to see how you get on!

CD9 for me, so a while to go yet. Had accupuncture last week and having another session this week, hoping that might help and also waiting for the blood tests from the gynae - other than that trying to relax..... Hmm

Waves to collie stitch izzy freezing blackat dachs knitter battey AandR and knitter and anyone else i've missed!

KnitterNotTwitter · 29/06/2011 16:43

loup thanks for two waves :-)

And you've reminded me that I've committed to a course of accupuncture in August once I'm back from my holidays

TomboyWife · 29/06/2011 22:38

Evening ladies!

Tina fx for sickness being, as your DH, says, 'good'. Grin

Got my ridiculously large supply of internet cheapy pg tests today, used one of them, BFN. I think. Had a bit of a brain fail on how the cheapy tests work even though they're exactly the same as the ones DH was buying (for about 10x the price) at the local chemist. Might do another one in the morning just to be sure, but it looks like I'm done 'clearing down' from the mc.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 30/06/2011 07:46

Good morning

knitter I don't blame you for having a vits free month. I've given up everything except the preg vits, I was spending a fortune and it obviously wasn't making a difference! I'm even sick of taking what I do, it all feels so futile but I'm too cautious to stop taking the folic acid just in case. My dd has taken to going to sleep late too. She doesn't ask for us though luckily, she just chats away to herself and her toys for hours. I blame the light evenings!

Glad you got your bfn Tom, when are you going to start trying again?

Enjoy the acupuncture loup. fx it works for you x

As for me, the mammoth spot on my chin and dry ladybits (tmi sorry!) tell me I'm out this month...I still feel sick though and my boobs are huge and sore Confused

Hope you all have a lovely day in the sunshine x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 30/06/2011 11:02

Pats on the back please...just went to sainsburys and didn't buy tests Grin

(disclaimer: mainly because they only had cb digis for £13 or their own brand for £10 which can't be used till missed period Blush)

Loup23 · 30/06/2011 11:08

sorry knitter for the over enthusiastic waves! Just had my second session of accupuncture, have no idea whether it will help but helping with a positive attitude! Also booked a holiday for 10 days time when i'll be on the 2ww (hopefully) so something else to look forward to.

Keeping everything crossed tina are you 12dpo? When is AF due? Pat on the back for not buying the tests (am ignoring the disclaimer...!)

Good luck tom for when you start again.

Waves to all x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 30/06/2011 11:50

I'm 12 dpo today loup, should start spotting over the next few days then proper af on mon/tues. Although I ov'd earlier than normal and usually start af 14-15 dpo which would be sat/sun so I dont know. I just bought wine to enjoy this weekend if af does show up but weirdly I as I bought it I really felt like I don't want it if that makes sense?

CollieandPup · 30/06/2011 12:33

Delurking to let Tina know I still have everything crossed for you. But hoping yoy get a bfp soon as walking around with legs crossed is very difficult!!! Grin

stitch hope your ok. Obviously understandable that you'd have negative associations with a scan and will probably find it hard to get reassurance from them, but they are safe, which I know you know really. Holiday in 2 weeks sounds great, where are you going?

izzy bump growing is good. Mine popped out at about 17 wks and it's popped out even further this week at 19 1/2.

freezing glad you're ok, even if busy!

dachs no doubt your too busy enjoying your hol to lurk but I hope you're having a loveky time!

A&R sorry you're having to go back for more mammogram tests. Good luck tomorrow.

All ok here. Scan next weds. Hoping all will be ok, dh reading about all things they test for and it's very scary!

x

stitchinline · 30/06/2011 14:11

thanks collie I'm OK, I know they are safe I just am going to wait longer to have one this time, we are off to cyprus for a week and I think will be much more chilled after that - well that's the plan anyway :o

tina very big pat on the back for the resistance there, still have everything crossed for you this month

waves to izzy freezing blackat dachs knitter battey AandR loup tomboy and anyone else i've missed

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 30/06/2011 14:35

collie thanks! And I am actually lurking even though am on hols. :). We are waiting for the Eurotunnel shuttle sitting on a coach. Due to the strikes today there are delays of 90 minutes to get on and so I thought a bit of mn time might cheer me up Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/07/2011 07:32

Morning all

aandr best of luck for today, it must be a worrying time but chin up, chica, we're all with you in spirit (will avert our eyes during mammograms though!) and sure everything is fine xx

dachs what are you doing on here, lovely lady?! Get yourself off enjoying that fabulous holiday!!!

yrmotb yep, 20 week scan on the 13th; I'll be 20+4 (eeek!). Still not feeling entirely secure, obviously, although bump is growing at an alarming rate and dh managed to feel a little kick for the first time this morning so that was nice Smile. How are you getting on - is it the 16 wk appt next? And what are you wearing for the 40th; did you manage to find anything?

mummya how are you doing, lovely? Smile

knitter a month off the vits etc sound good; I did exactly the same in Feb/March (and stopped the temping too) and it was lovely. and I ended up with a bfp so you never know! (although I know timing is difficult)

My mission for today is to get some new bras, properly fitted. I'm now down to one that can contain things Blush. It's not enough!!!
