How the hell do you know when you ovulate?

I have had creamy cm since sat (cd8) and ewcm since tues (cd11)
On mon/tues had cramps and developed huge beacon like spot on my head.
On mon I had three neg tesco ov strips.
On tues I had two neg tesco ov strips (one with faint line)
On weds one neg tesco strip
Today neg cb opk
If tomorrow cb is neg too then I give up! Before getting obsessed would have gone with cramps and spots.
Ff reckons Tuesday as average cycle length 25 days.
Any guesses anyone?!
Also has anyone had ewcm for days after ovulation before?

Okay so you know when you ov when you get a +ve on an OPK this am.
So now I know that feeling really down and getting hysterical with dh are my ov signs. Woohoo!

I'd advise buying a big pack of the internet cheapie OV strips and testing every day from day 8 if your cycle is 25 days. Mine varies from 25-28 days and I've been testing from day 10 (which is recommended in the instructions for a 28 day cycle) and the last 2 cycles I ov'd on day 16 after 2 days of double lines, this cycle it took me by surprise on day 14 after 1 day of double lines and then the line disappeared after one day, so it can change.

Also, last month I had no cramps at all, this time, MASSIVE ovulation pains. Don't get EWCM at all anymore - maybe 'cos I'm old . Anyway, what I'm saying is sometimes it's hard to read the signs and the only way is to keep peeing on those sticks. Or if you have the patience try temping/charting.

Thanks HavingKittens. I think knowing for sure is the best way. I'd like to fit that around dtd every other day but dh was too tired last night which threw me off my schedule!!
I get ov cramps too - have them today but also had them on Tuesday which is why I thought I'd already ov'd.
Surely I can't have ov'd Tues and then go again over the weekend?

Have you considered temping? Then you could see a temp peak in.coordination with your opks.

clear blue digital ovulation test and don't use the urine from your first wee of the day - this is the opposite advice given if you are poas to see whether you are pregnant. it explains why not in the blurb - good luck.
i am ttc and have only had a positive (smiley face) with the digital ones. i couldn't tell with the others.

I think dh would stop dtd if he saw me doing my temperature every morning tbh.
Yesterday had horrible cramps in my abdomen so guessing horrible ov pains. Not normally that bad! As it was only cd14 am stopping my brain from deciding it must be implantation cramps!
