Not sure whether to POAS or not?

Period is 2 weeks late - however it has been this late before and I've then had a period - it can be irregular.

We're not TTC and DH "pulls out" Blush - thank God I namechanged!

Is it possible? We did this "method" for 6 years and I never got pregnant so I'm thinking quite unlikely???

Thoughts?

a good rule of thumb is 'when in doubt POAS', at least it will stop you wondering.

I know......I just don't want to "waste" £8-£10 on a test IYSWIM?

Pound land two for a quid are allegedly very accurate. How is it wasting money to find out if you're pg it not?

bomberosa · 17/05/2011 11:51

Ok, I'm NOT pregnant.

But I'm 2 weeks late - what other explanation could there be?

I'm only 31!

2 weeks is the latest I've ever been so hopefully it will come soon.

Could stress have delayed ovulation and therefore af? Travel? Were you ill?

bomberosa · 17/05/2011 13:36

Possibly stress? Didn't actually know that could happen Blush

I'll just need to relax and wait then I suppose!

Thanks Smile

If you're not ttc than I.guess that's good news?! Yup I'm.sure the evil.witch will be long shortly. Your body is very clever and if it thinks it's not a good time to ovulate (ie you're ill, stressed) it'll save your egg until it thinks you'll be more likely to conceive! Mother nature maximizes the chance of boosting it's numbers.
Might I suggest you read Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler? It helps you understand your cycles and recognise when you're fertile. To be brutally honest "pulling out" is not an effective way to prevent pregnancy! The beauty with this book is you can use the advice to prevent pregnancy and use it when you want to get upduffed! That way Dh can fully enjoy dtd confident you're not fertile! The basic theory is if there's no egg you can't fertilise it! You recognise your fertile signs and either avoid dtd then or use barrier method of your choice during that time.
Anyway, the book explains it better than I can! You can get it on amazon.

Yeah it is sort of good news but we do want another at some point so it wouldn't have been the end of the world Grin.

Thank you so much for all that info - I will definitely have a look at that book!
