Think I've managed to link my chart from ff:

www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/chartgraph_module.php?d=2005-11-04

This is the third revision, previous to putting dry CM on last few days it thought I ovulated on days 13, then 14, then 20, now 14 again.

Confused, can you help. Lots of thanks. Got to go in a meeting now but will be back on a lunch time.

Jersey, i've had a really confusing one with fertility friend as well. Since this is my first month off the pill, i'm trying to be brave and put it down to an erratic first cycle but deep down, its quite depressing. i though we'd bd at the right time but i think I must have mis-interpreted it and have missed the moment! If i'm like this after not even one month, i dread to think of how i'll feel later on.

fingers crossd for you...Good luck.

jersey · 10/11/2005 12:39

I know loubag! I know that there isn't much chance on the first month but my hopes where up, then down and now possibly up again!! All I can think about is this, how did I get through 4 months last time round I don't know. If this takes months I'll be a wreck.

Ladies,

My first advice to you is that FF really only tells you what has happened, not what is going to happen. I.e. it won't warn you that you're about to OV, and it won't tell you you're pregnant before you get that + on a HPT. I have found the real benefit comes after a few cycles using FF, as you get used to reading your other fertility signs (CM, OPK) alongside your temperature data. Also, FF learns your cycle, so you should get less variance in furture cycles, when it has some history for you.

To link your chart from FF, you need to do the following:

From the home page, click on "My chart"

Click on "Sharing" (right hand menu)

Choose "Home Page Setup"

Copy the text out of the box that says "Your Charting Home Page Web Address" - that is your chart URL to allow others to look at it.

If you want to check out my chart, it's at: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/bdd75 - or just click this . Mt chart for this month is all over the place due to the battery going in my thermometer, plus flying out to Florida right around OV time - I'm still jetlagged so taking my temps at some really wacky times in the morning!

Hope this all helps,
Hugs,
Artoo.

There is the link again, 2nd time lucky, thanks for the help artoo.

hi jersey - sorry only just found you, munzie sent me over here! cant get into your link for your chart, can you try again?

artoo sounds like even more of an expert than me and she is spot-on when she tells you that fertility friend can only start giving you an accurate picture after a few months when you have built up some history. having said that, and we are all impatient as hell when it comes to the trials and tribulations of the ttc world (!), it is very helpful even from the beginning if you remember to chart as accurately and regularly as you can.

i am happy to have a look at your chart so do try and do the link again....

romilly · 10/11/2005 16:04

Jersy - i have managed to open your last link so ignore my previous message, will have a look now

romilly · 10/11/2005 16:13

ok, jersey - just checked it out - all looks well to me. i would agree with ff's final decision that your temps imply that you ovulated on or just before CD14. the confusion probably arose because you have an open circle on that temping day (which seems to be because you were sleep deprived, so your temp was thrown out) - but in retrospect all your temps since have been well above the coverline and show you have ovulated. also your dry CM confirms this.

i must stress that the most important signal that you are about to ovulate is ALWAYS your CM so whenever you have EWCM (egg white/sticky CM) that is your green light to get bd'ing! i am sure you know all this, but your temps look great and it appears you are ovulating normally so good luck!

any other questions, do ask

jersey · 11/11/2005 08:29

Thanks Romilly, your help greatly appreciated as it was all getting very confusing and as FF kept moving my ovulation day I thought we had totally missed the boat.

Temp dropped from 36.7 to 36.1 today so hoping its an implantation dip as it is dpo 10.

Fingers crossed. Bit calmer today!!!!!

OP posts:
loubag · 11/11/2005 15:17

Jersey - what does dpo stand for? And is a dip in temp what i'm hoping for? mine seems to have risen again and stayed high. i know it wont be totally accurate as i was away for a while and the time difference or whatever will have affected it other than that, I'm not entirely sure what i'm looking for. I'm a novice on the whole thing but very obsessed!

jersey · 11/11/2005 15:35

HI loubag dpo means days after ovulation. If your temp rises and stays high, then dips around days 7-10 after ovulation it could be an implantation dip, especially if your temp rises back up to highest level. Although its not conclusive as fertility friend keeps telling me!

Fingers crossed.

What day are you on, and where are your temps?

OP posts:
MeerkatsUnite · 11/11/2005 15:43

Hi Loubag,

dpo - days post ovulation.

TBH I would not try and get too stressed re the whole issue about taking your temperature as this is not an exact science, is not therefore always accurate (you can have a rise in temp in the second half of your cycle when an egg has not been shed) and can be difficult to interpret.

If you are starting to become overtly concerned re the temping I would stop charting altogether as you do not need to stress yourself out over this.

The surest way to know whether or not you are
ovulating is to have a blood test done. Generally speaking you are more likely to be ovulating regularly if your menstrual cycle is regular, less so if the cycle is irregular.

Artoo · 11/11/2005 16:01

It was only a matter of time before Meerkats turned up and posted something negative about temping... Thankfully she seems to be the only negative voice amongst a large group of us who find temping useful and helpful.

Hugs,
Artoo.

munz · 11/11/2005 16:05

each to his own - incidently artoo - I see u had the 21 dya bloods done and got 20.5 was it? - my first month was 22 (on CD19 as I had a short cycle 25 days) anyhow, following month was 31 so for me it seemed to be swings/round abouts.

hope u get a more pos result next cycle - all I did to change it was not stress about TTC cos DH was out of the counrty - so was fully relaxed that month! lol.

loubag · 11/11/2005 16:33

Think i'm on day 22. my temp went up on day 11 then up again on day 19. first cycle after coming of the pill though so not sure what will happen. Had a bit of spotting day 11 and 12 and a bit of pain too but maybe this is normal - i 've been on the pill for the last 10 years so i wouldnt know!!

MeerkatsUnite · 11/11/2005 18:24

Artoo

Sorry to sound so negative about temping but it can be problematic and not as straight forward to interpret as it may appear.

Tell you what let's agree to differ and shake hands on this one!.

Agree?

romilly · 11/11/2005 22:41

kiss and make up artoo and meerkats

although i have to admit i am with artoo on this one, i found temping extremely helpful with timing. i have only good things to say about it.

jersey - glad you are feeling happier about it now, keep us posted how you get on

jersey · 14/11/2005 08:21

romilly · 14/11/2005 16:32

i love hearing about BFP's! that has put a smile on my face. what lovely news.

jersey · 15/11/2005 08:05

Thanks everyone. Did a clearblue today, 1 day before AF was due (couldn't wait!!) to confirm the cheap tests where right and its the darkest blue cross I've seen . When preg with DS the cross was so faint we weren't sure and I was 4 days late then! (Hope this doesn't mean twins!!!)

OP posts:
romilly · 15/11/2005 14:23

i'm a twin jersey (non-identical, twin brother) and its the best thing in the world! we are very close - he is my best friend as well as brother

its great that the lines are so strong, probably just means your hcg levels are very high already. at least you know you are definitely preggers!
